Chapter 1561 — Chapter 1561 Bai Ning(2)

1561 Bai Ning(2)

Bai Ning's entire being froze like a stone statue after being told that the Immortal Monarch was alive. Her body trembled after a moment of silence, and she suddenly reached for Xuan Kun's collars.

Once she got ahold of his robes, she lifted him into the air and roared, "I swear to god, if you're messing with me!"

Xuan Kun was startled by her sudden aggression and hastily said, "I-it's true! This information has already been verified through the Heavenly Scroll of Validity! The chances of this information being fake are almost zero!"

"Who? Who gave you this information!?" she growled.

Xuan Kun hesitated to reveal this information since the Pavilion of Knowledge prided itself on its confidentiality. If he revealed a customer's name, it would set a dangerous precedent and, if exposed, would sink their reputation to the bottom of the sea.

"Please forgive me, but I cannot reveal a client's information, especially if that individual may have a connection with the Immortal Monarch. I beg for your understanding, Lady Bai." Xuan Kun said, his body soaked in cold sweat.

"..."

Bai Ning froze again and, after a moment of silence, released Xuan Kun and said, "My apologies. I got a little too excited after learning of the information. You're right. This individual likely has connections with the Immortal Monarch to have such valuable information. I almost made a rash judgment there."

Xuan Kun sighed in relief and said, "Thank you for your understanding. Although I cannot reveal this individual's information to you, I can speak with him and see if he would be willing to meet you."

Bai Ning's eyes flickered after hearing this, and immediately nodded, "Please do! I must speak with this individual, no matter what! If there's anything I can do that would increase the chances of meeting him, let me know!"

Xuan Kun pondered for a moment before responding, "I'm not sure, but he seemed very interested in information related to the Immortal Monarch. If you have information to share with him, he'd have a reason to speak with you."

"Information on the Immortal Monarch, right? I have plenty of that." Bai Ning quickly agreed.

As an Immortal Monarch enthusiast, Bai Ning collected all sorts of information on the Immortal Monarch, and being part of an Immortal Clan, she has access to information not available to the public.

"What about the individual you wanted to find?" Xuan Wei suddenly asked.

"I can deal with him later. This takes priority," she said.

"Then I'll be back. You can rest in the guest room in the meantime." Xuan Kun said.

"Hm? You make it sound like you'll be able to contact this person soon."

"Well… he is currently in the Pavilion of Knowledge, after all…"

"What did you say?!" Bai Ning was pleasantly surprised by this news.

"You don't mean…" Xuan Wei swallowed nervously as he thought of their recent rude guests.

Xuan Kun left shortly after, leaving Xuan Wei and Bai Ning alone.

Sometime later, Xuan Kun opened the door to Chronicles of the Immortal Monarch.

"Young Master, I apologize for disturbing you, but the guest from the Heavenly White Tiger Clan would like to meet you. Due to her background, I shared with her the information you told me." Xuan Kun said with an apologetic look on his face.

"She wants to meet me, huh?" Yuan didn't immediately give an answer.

"She said she's willing to share information on the Immortal Monarch if you agree to meet with her. Since she's from an Immortal Clan, her information would undoubtedly be valuable."

Yuan pondered for a moment before nodding his head, "Sure, I'll go meet with her."

"Thank you!" Xuan Kun bowed to him, feeling relieved.

Xi Meili placed the scroll in her hands down and asked through divine sense, "Should I come with you?"

"No, I can speak with her alone. She might also recognize you." Yuan said.

"Alright." Xi Meili nodded.

Yuan left the room while Xi Meili continued to read the scrolls.

Sometime later, Xuan Kun brought Yuan to Bai Ning.

The moment Bai Ning saw Yuan, she raised an eyebrow. She didn't recognize Yuan but felt like they had met somewhere.

"Hello, I am Bai Ning of the Heavenly White Tiger Clan. How should I address you?" Knowing that he might be connected to the Immortal Monarch, Bai Ning spoke to him in a respectful tone.

"Yuan," he said.

"I heard you wanted to speak with me. What is this about?" he then asked.

"I heard from Xuan Kun here that you were the one who told him the Immortal Monarch is alive. If you don't mind me asking, how did you acquire this information? I will share with you everything I know about the Immortal Monarch. In case you don't know, the Heavenly White Tiger God, our ancestor, was one of the Nine Divine Supremes that followed the Immortal Monarch, so we know more than most."

"I don't mind telling you, but can you tell me what you plan on doing with that information first?" Yuan said.

"What I plan on doing…?" Bai Ning raised an eyebrow, as she hadn't thought about it yet.

"I-if the Immortal Monarch is truly alive, I want to meet him…" she responded in a low voice after a moment of silence.

"And what are you going to do once you meet him?" Yuan continued to ask.

"I will serve him just as the Nine Divine Supreme had! That is my dream!" she answered with a serious expression on her face.

"And what if he refuses?"

"That's…" Bai Ning was left speechless.

"I haven't thought that far, but I will not give up even if it's the last thing I do!"

Yuan remained silent for a moment before speaking, "If you want to meet the Immortal Monarch that badly, I can let you meet him."

"What?! Really?! You know where the Immortal Monarch is?!" Bai Ning's eyes widened with shock.

"Yes, but you'll have to do something for me."

"I will do anything!" she answered without hesitation.

"We'll see about that," Yuan said with a mysterious smile on his face.
