Chapter 1585 — Chapter 1585 Releasing the Interview
5 min read ·
"Who the hell does that arrogant little brat think he is, threatening the government!?" Government agencies around the world were enraged when they were informed of the situation. They couldn't believe that they were being threatened by someone who barely just reached adulthood. Yet, that wasn't even the most irritating part.
The fact they couldn't do anything about it was what truly infuriated them to the core.
The Lord refused to help them for some reason, and Yuan lived inside the Dragon Spiral Mountain, making things even more complicated than they already are.
If they wanted to deal with Yuan, they had to wait until he left the Dragon Spiral Mountain. Otherwise, they risk offending the Lord of the mountain by conducting their business within his sacred land.
The Lord possessed power and authority that far surpassed any other organization or individual in the world. The only saving grace for humanity was the Lord's indifference toward humans as long as they didn't mess with him.
Many decades ago, the government tried to subdue the Lord. However, they quickly found out how foolish their actions were when the Lord effortlessly killed everyone responsible without leaving the mountain.
Of course, the government tried nuclear weapons, but those were also rendered useless before they could even get close to the mountain.
After the old government was annihilated by the Lord, a new one formed and signed a peace treaty with the Lord.
The contract stipulated that they would not interfere with the Lord or any activities within Dragon Spiral Mountain, declaring the place an independent power. This meant that the laws governing the majority of the world were irrelevant within Dragon Spiral Mountain, and all business conducted there could not be judged by outside standards.
"I want the Dragon Spiral Mountain to on a 24-hour surviellance! Notify us immediately whenever Yuan leaves!"
"But what are we going to do once he leaves? Ambush him? We don't have the power to do anything to him!"
"We can figure that out later! For now, I want everything on him—from what he eats to breakfast to when he shits it out! If we cannot deal with Yuan, we can always target those around him. Contact the Demon Sealing Faction members and try to recruit them to our side. Be cautious and discreet."
"..."
The entire room went silent after such an impossible task was given.
It was already impossible enough to enter the Dragon Spiral Mountain, so how were they going to spy on Yuan to get information on him?

"I guess we can try to convert someone that's already close to him on our side, but that has its own risks. What if they feed us incorrect information? What if they expose us?"
"There's no such thing as risk-free in our line of work. Everything has a risk. The only question is whether or not we're willing to accept such risks."
The room fell silent again.
Eventually, they agreed to try to convert someone from the Demon Sealing Faction.
Meanwhile, Yan Xiaoxiao just finished editing her interview with the Demon Sealing Faction and sent a copy to Meifeng to get it approved.
At the Demon Sealing Faction, Meifeng watched the interview with Yu Rou and Yuan together.
"It's very well made and puts a good spotlight on the Demon Sealing Faction, which will definitely help us when everyone is trying to drag our name through the mud," Meifeng commented after watching the interview.
"Do you think it'll stop people from talking badly about my brother?" Yu Rou asked with a slight frown on her face.
"Unlikely, since most of the people speaking ill of Yuan are probably hired actors paid by the Ten Great Families and the government. This is very common practice for those who want to lower another's reputation."
"There's no need to worry about me, Yu Rou. Whether my reputation is good or bad, it won't change anything." Yuan said to her.
"I know that, but it's still frustrating to see people badmouth you every time I open up the internet…" she sighed.
Yuan suddenly placed a hand on her head and ruffled her hair. "Brother?!"
"Don't waste your energy over something like that. It's not worth it." He looked at Meifeng and continued, "Anyway, you can let Yan Xiaoxiao know that she can release the interview whenever she wants."
Meifeng nodded and immediately sent a message to Yan Xiaoxiao.
Not even a minute later, Yan Xiaoxiao posted the interview on her personal website and social profiles, instantly gathering tens of thousands of views.
In less than half an hour, the interview garnered over a hundred million views, becoming a sensation on the internet.
At first, there were many positive comments, praising the Demon Sealing Faction's unique lifestyle and the members' trust in Yuan.
However, once the Ten Great Families and the trolls heard about the interview, they bombarded it with the usual negative comments.
Yet, because these comments were made under Yan Xiaoxiao's profile, her immense fanbase was immediately enraged, considering it an attack on Yan Xiaoxiao herself.
Thus, the trolls and Yan Xiaoxiao's fanbase began a war with each other. Later that night, Yu Rou approached Yuan and said, "Let's sleep together tonight!"
"I don't mind, but…" Yuan showed his room to her, where another individual was already sleeping on his bed.
"Oh, right. You sleep together with Chu Liuxiang."
Yu Rou proceeded to stand there in silence, seeming in deep thought.
"I have been wondering about this for a while now, but why isn't Meixiu sleeping with you, too? Isn't she also your lover? I don't think it is fair to make her sleep in a separate room when Chu Liuxiang sleeps with you."
"Well… it's not like I am forcing her to be in a separate room. I also don't want to force her to sleep with us, so I'm just waiting for her to say something." Yuan said with a bittersweet smile.
"Is that so?" Yu Rou mumbled.
After another moment of silence, she said, "I changed my mind. I'll go sleep with Meixiu tonight since it's been a while."
Yuan nodded, and Yu Rou knocked on Meixiu's room the following moment.
