Chapter 1618 — Chapter 1618 Starfire Dragon

"So, who is this Primal that you want to get rid of?" Yuan asked.

"Not a Primal. He's a Predator." The Divine Fox corrected him. "He has a dragon bloodline—a real one."

"Dragon bloodline, huh? Is that why you cannot attack him?"

"He's from the Divine Dragon Sanctuary, one of the top powers in the Primal Expanse. If I attack him and offend them, they could easily destroy me and my territory. However, you're a different story. Even if you kill him, it won't affect you once you leave this place."

Yuan raised an eyebrow and said, "But you were expecting Yingzi to kill him, and she is a resident of this world."

Divine Fox of Grand Propechy looked at Yingzi and sneered, "You know nothing about Shadow Dwellers. With their ability to hide their presence completely, she can traverse the Primal Expanse without worry, even with the entire world hunting her."

"Even if she's completely invisible, it doesn't make it okay to use her like that. Also, I don't have to kill your neighbor, only get rid of him, right?"

The Divine Fox of Grand Prophecy became silent to ponder.

A moment later, she spoke, "I would prefer it if you killed him, but if you can't, just make sure he never returns."

"Sounds good. Then I'll go visit him now." Yuan said.

"What about me?" Yingzi asked.

"I don't think I'll need your help this time, but you can come with me just in case."

Yingzi nodded and decided to follow him, motivated by the opportunity to possibly acquire more meat skewers.

Yuan began traveling to the dragon's territory after acquiring more information from the Divine Fox.

According to the Divine Fox of Grand Prophecy, Yuan's next target was a Starfire Dragon, who resided within the Flaming Peak—a fiery land perpetually engulfed in flames.

The Flaming Peak was roughly ten days away from Mystic Valley, even when traveling at Yingzi's swift pace. As they neared their destination, the temperature soared to extreme levels, reaching intensities that could melt even Spirit Kings if they ventured too close.

'If it weren't for my physique, I would probably be a puddle right now…' Yuan thought to himself as he tried to cool himself.

He looked at Yingzi, who didn't have a single drop of sweat on her, seemingly unaffected by the intense heat.

The heat only worsened as they approached the Flaming Peak. However, despite his situation, Yuan took this opportunity to temper his body.

As Yuan bolstered his fire resistance, the oppressive heat began to affect him less. Gradually, he adjusted until the once scorching temperatures felt merely warm, akin to that of lukewarm water.

Upon arriving at Flaming Peak, Yuan was met with a fiery spectacle. The place itself was an island featuring a solitary mountain at its center. The entire island was engulfed in flames, and the mountain was an active volcano, further intensifying the blazing landscape.

Resting within the volcano, submerged in lava, was a solitary silhouette. Upon closer examination with his divine sense, Yuan discovered it was a handsome young man with short red hair.

When the handsome young man sensed Yuan's divine sense probing, his eyes snapped wide open, revealing their striking golden hue.

"Who dares to spy on this Young Lord?!"

The Starfire Dragon roared as he leaped into the air before staring directly at Yuan's direction.

"Hm? A dragon?" The Starfire Dragon narrowed his eyes after realizing this.

"Which clan do you belong to? And what business do you have here in my territory—with a Shadow Dweller, no less?" The Starfire Dragon immediately began interrogating Yuan.

"How dare a lowly Starfire Dragon question me?" Yuan roared in an arrogant voice.

Given that the Primal Expanse was a dog-eat-dog world, Yuan decided that it would be in his best interest to project strength, adopting an overbearing demeanor to show no signs of weakness.

"L-lowly Starfire Dragon…?!" The handsome young man trembled in anger and disbelief.

While it was true that the Starfire Dragon's bloodline wasn't top-tier—ranking only in the lower middle in terms of quality and purity—the Starfire Dragon had never before been humiliated or looked down upon in such a manner.

"HOW DARE YOU!"

As the Starfire Dragon's anger surged, so did its aura, sending powerful ripples across the entire island, causing the flames to dance violently.

"I don't care who you are or where the fuck you came from, but you will not be leaving here alive today!"

The Starfire Dragon soared toward Yuan like a flaming meteor.

Seeing this, Yingzi spoke, "Do you want me to suppress him for you?"

"No, it's fine. I can handle this."

Yingzi puffed her cheeks at his refusal, seemingly disappointed that she couldn't earn some meat skewers.

Once the Starfire Dragon was close enough, Yuan suddenly activated Dragon's Gaze.

"Wha—?!"

The Starfire Dragon halted upon being struck by Dragon's Gaze.

"T-this power is—! Dragon's Influence! You're royalty?!" The Starfire Dragon cried out loud, his anger dissipating instantly after realizing he was baring his fangs against royalty.

Even if he had the Divine Dragon Santuary's backing, they would not hesitate to disown him if they knew he'd offended a dragon of a royal bloodline.

'Why the hell is a royal dragon causing trouble for me, a nobody?!'

Although the Starfire Dragon found it weird that he didn't recognize Yuan even though he memorized every member of the royal family, not to mention Yuan's low cultivation base, he was in no position to think properly.

"Your Highness! This is an misunderstanding! Please tell me why you are here!" The Starfire Dragon lowered his head and said.

"Not only do you dare to question me, but you even dare to give me orders? Who do you think you are, huh?!" Yuan roared, sending chills down the Starfire Dragon's spine.

'This overbearing demeanor! The strength of his Dragon's Influence! He's definitely royalty—a high-ranking one, at that!' he cried inwardly.
