Chapter 1626 — Chapter 1626 Ancient Canyon

After putting away the True Ember, Yuan quickly made his way toward the exit, unwilling to remain in the Phoenixes' territory any longer.

Neither the young man nor the young lady tried to stop him. In fact, they also wanted him to leave as soon as possible.

Once they left, Yuan and Yingzi began flying back to the Mystic Valley.

"Fuck, this is why I hate royalty. They do as they please and treat us like dirt." The young man sneered in disdain once they were alone.

"We did call him a fake first…" The young lady sighed out loud.

"I don't understand what went wrong. As far as I can tell, he definitely didn't have the bloodline of an Ancient Phoenix. Yet, he was able to use Phoenix's Influence on me despite his lack of cultivation."

"Haa… forget it. It's already in the past."

Three months later, Yuan and Yingzi made it back to the Mystic Valley in one piece.

"Oh? You're back already? That was faster than I anticipated." The Divine Fox of Grand Prophecy greeted them the moment they entered her territory.

"I got the True Ember," Yuan said.

"Really? How did you deal with the Phoenixes as a dragon? Didn't they attack you on sight?"

Yuan shook his head with a smile, "I have my methods." "Anyway, here is the True Ember."

He retrieved the treasure and tossed it to her.

"Okay, give me a week to prepare."

While the Divine Fox of Grand Prophecy began her preparation to divine the Primal Monarch's location, Yuan spent that time with Meixiu and the others.

While Yuan was in the Primal Expanse, Meixiu, Chu Liuxiang, and Li Jinxi continued their training with Kelan. Meanwhile, the rest of the Demon Sealing Faction had graduated from their sects and traveled to the Fourth Heaven, joining Kelan's training three months ago.

"How's your progress? Have you figured out a way to get out of the Primal Expanse yet?" Wang Ming asked him during dinner.

"No, but I think I am getting close."

"Take your time so the rest of us can catch up." Shi Lang chuckled.

"The Primal Expanse is so vast that most of my time is spent traveling. I have been pretty lucky so far with the distance I need to travel, but I'm worried that the next place I need to go might take too long," Yuan sighed. He could imagine the Primal Monarch being in a location that was several decades or even centuries away. "Have you tried to kill yourself? Who knows, you might respawn back in the last city you visited." Wang Bingbing suddenly said.

"That's quite a dangerous suggestion. It'd be disastrous if he becomes a cripple because of that." Wang Ming said.

Yuan nodded and said, "I have thought about it, and as Wang Ming said, it's quite risky. That said, if nothing else works, I can only try that as a last resort."

"By the way, the Lord wanted to speak with you as soon as possible." Wang Xiuying suddenly said.

"I'll go meet him after this."

After dinner, Yuan went to speak with the Lord.

"What's up?" Yuan greeted the Lord casually.

"We have been contacted by the Qi Family. Do you remember them?" The Lord said.

"Of course. Since you're contacting me, it must be related to demons, right?" Yuan could easily guess the reason behind the Qi Family's contact. The Qi Family was the Earth's version of the Demon Sealing Clan, and Yuan had personally trained them before.

"You're correct. They have recently stumbled upon another sealed demon. According to them, this demon is unfathomably strong and surpasses the 11 demons you dealt with in the past."

"Where is this demon? I'll deal with it as soon as possible."

"They haven't disclosed the location to us yet. I'll notify them of your arrival if you want to visit them directly."

"You can do that. I'll visit them first thing tomorrow morning."

"I understand."

After leaving behind the Starry Abyss so that Ji Ran could heal the Lord, Yuan returned to his residence.

The next morning, Liya was already waiting at Yuan's front door, ready to escort him to the Qi Family, just as she had done previously.

"Welcome back to the Qi Family, Manager Liya. Yuan."

The Qi Family was ready to greet them long before their arrival.

"It's been a while." Yuan smiled.

"Thank you again for your assistance," Qi Man said with his hands clasped.

"Don't mention it. Anyway, where's the demon?"

"It's located at the Ancient Canyon."

"Is it close to breaking out of its seal?" "No, and some people are watching over it even as we speak. They would notify us if there were any changes."

"Even if it's not close to breaking out of its seal, I am going to take care of it immediately."

Qi Man then said, "Please don't be too hasty. We are aware of your prowess, but this demon is different. We believe it's at least a Superior Demon with a tiny chance of it being a Demon General."

"A Demon General, huh?" Yuan muttered with an intrigued face.

Suddenly, someone could be heard shouting, "Elder Qi! We have just received a message from the expedition team! It's an emergency! Cracks have started appearing on the demon!" "What?!" Qi Man exclaimed.

"Looks like we can't take things slowly anymore," Yuan said. "Bring me to the demon."

"Y-yes! I will bring you there myself!" Qi Man quickly responded.

Yuan and Liya followed Qi Man to the Qi Family's private jet and quickly left.

A day later, they arrived at their destination, the Ancient Canyon.

The Ancient Canyon is a 1,000-mile-long plateau composed of horizontal layers of lava and rock, featuring a range of landscapes, including arid deserts and barren stretches. This area is rarely explored due to its harsh climate and extreme heat, which can easily reach up to 170 degrees Fahrenheit, making it nearly impossible to explore without proper equipment. "We've arrived." Qi Man notified them after the jet landed.
