Chapter 1635 — Chapter 1635 Primal Monarch's Blood Essence

"Do I… do I really have to leave and return to the human world?" Tian Yi stared at the Primal Monarch with a dispirited expression.

The Primal Monarch smiled and said, "The Primal Expanse isn't your final stop. You are fated to achieve great things in the human world. I'll give you a few years to prepare, but you must leave within ten years."

Tian Yi sighed, "Fine. If you so desperately want me to leave, I won't argue any further. However, how do I even return to the human world? According to what I've heard, it's impossible to leave the Primal Expanse."

"There is only one way to leave the Primal Expanse, and that is through me." The Primal Monarch said.

"Whenever you're prepared to leave, just let me know."

Tian Yi nodded.

In the years that followed, Tian Yi sought to learn all he could from the Primal Monarch, yet he soon realized there was nothing more the Primal Monarch could teach him. Despite this, Tian Yi chose not to waste their remaining time together.

In the blink of an eye, nine years passed.

"I am ready to leave." On a certain day, Tian Yi approached the Primal Monarch to declare his departure.

The Primal Monarch nodded and said, "Before you leave, promise me one thing."

"What?"

"That you will never submit to anyone, especially to Heaven's will, ever again and become a being worthy of the Monarch's bloodline. Also, don't come back to the Primal Expanse unless you have fully awakened my bloodline."

"You never told me how to awaken it even though I have asked many times," Tian Yi frowned.

"Because you didn't need such knowledge back then." The Primal Monarch shook his head, and he continued speaking, "Anyway, to fully awaken the Monarch's bloodline, you will need to absorb the Blood Essence of nine different beasts with a Supreme-grade bloodline."

"Supreme-grade Blood Essence?! And nine of them?! That'll take an eternity!" Tian Yi exclaimed.

There are barely a dozen Predators in the entire Primal Expanse who possess a Supreme-grade bloodline, and asking even one of them for their Blood Essence was nearly impossible—let alone nine.

Moreover, he had to accomplish this task in the human world, where the likelihood of finding even nine entities with a Supreme-grade bloodline was slim, if not nonexistent.

"You're asking for too much… You might as well tell me never to return." Tian Yi sighed out loud.

"Are you going to give up without even trying? I didn't know I'd raised such a useless quitter." The Primal Monarch sneered in disdain.

Tian Yi clenched his fists and gnashed his jaw, "Just wait, you old booger! Not only will I awaken my bloodline, but I'll even take your position as the Primal Monarch and force you into retirement the next time I come back, so prepare yourself!"

"Hahaha! You'll take my position? It's a promise! I cannot wait, you snotty little brat!" Shortly after, the Primal Monarch opened a rift to the Divine Heaven, and Tian Yi stepped into it without looking back.

After digesting Tian Yi's memories, Yuan looked at the Primal Monarch with emotional eyes.

"Sorry, but I don't think I can fulfill my promise to you right now…" Yuan spoke with a bittersweet smile.

"Well, this won't be the first time you've disappointed me." The Primal Monarch shrugged.

He continued, "Not only did you fail to awaken your bloodline, but you've managed to weaken it to its weakest state."

"I'll awaken the bloodline this time for sure," Yuan said with a resolute expression on his face.

However, the Primal Monarch shook his head and said, "Even if you consume nine Blood Essence right now, you won't be able to awaken your Monarch bloodline because it is still in its dormant state."

"Huh? What do you mean?" Yuan raised an eyebrow.

"You've managed to activate your bloodline, but it's only Royal-grade, so you're not receiving any actual benefits from it."

"Even your Immortal Monarch's Dominion is just a technique, not your bloodline's ability."

"How do I awaken my bloodline then?"

The Primal Monarch suddenly opened a rift and said, "Follow me."

"Wait a moment."

Yuan turned to look at Yingzi, "Thank you for everything."

He retrieved a thousand meat skewers and handed them to Yingzi, who accepted them in a daze.

"You too." Yuan gave some skewers to the Divine Fox of Grand Prophecy before entering the rift with the Primal Monarch.

On the other side of the rift lay the Primal Monarch's own dimension, the place where Tian Yi had once lived. The world within this dimension was as vast as the Primal Expanse, but only Tian Yi and the Primal Monarch inhabited it at this moment.

Yuan surveyed his surroundings, feeling a sense of nostalgia.

Sometime later, the Primal Monarch spoke, "I knew you would return one day, so I prepared this for you, but I never anticipated you would return in such a state."

He showed Yuan his palm, where a small bottle rested.

"This is…" Yuan swallowed nervously after seeing the drop of blood inside.

"You made a second Blood Essence?"

Most beings don't even dare to create Blood Essence, fearing the harm it could cause them. Those brave enough to attempt it would only produce a single drop in their lifetime, as that was their limit. Yet, the Primal Monarch had created two drops.

"If you consume this Blood Essence, your Monarch's bloodline will awaken its true prowess."

Yuan accepted the Primal Monarch's Blood Essence.

"Thank you…"

Yuan tossed the bottle into his spatial ring, causing the Primal Monarch to raise an eyebrow.

"What are you doing? Saving it for later? Why?"

"But I am only a Spirit Sovereign now, and I was an Immortal the last time I consumed your Blood Essence."

"That's true, but you also didn't have the Monarch's bloodline back then. You already have the Monarch's bloodline this time, so the requirements won't be as harsh."

"Is that so…? Then I'll consume it now…"

Yuan retrieved the Blood Essence.
