Chapter 1647 — Chapter 1647 Fifth Level of Hell

The instant Yuan entered the fifth level of Nine Levels of Hell, his progress shot up from 70 percent to 80 percent.

However, the pain he was experiencing was excruciating and would break the minds of even the toughest cultivators out there. The Nine Levels of Hell weren't created for humans but for phoenixes, beasts with a natural affinity for fire.

Even a newly born phoenix with the lowest bloodline would have supreme fire resistance, and it wouldn't take long for them to achieve fire immunity.

In fact, even a Golden Immortal would perish inside the fifth level, much less a Spirit Sovereign like Yuan.

"How much more is this human going to surprise me? Even I, who has almost achieved True Fire Immunity, can barely endure the fifth level's flames!" Feng Yao exclaimed.

"…" Feng Liqiu didn't make any comments and merely watched him in silence.

Yuan remained in the fifth level for a week straight, and his progress reached 89 percent.

Once he realized he wouldn't advance any further, Yuan looked at the sixth level, where purple-colored flames raged.

After a moment of silence, he released a resolute roar before transforming into his dragon form.

"That's—?!" Feng Yao and Feng Liqiu were startled by Yuan's transformation.

While they took a moment to comprehend the situation, Yuan dove into the sixth level.

"This scent… does he have dragon blood flowing through his veins?!" Feng Yao cried out loud.

"Does mother know about this?" Feng Liqiu looked at her with a slight frown.

Dragons were forbidden from entering the Eternal Phoenix Domain. It didn't matter if they were real dragons or only had a single drop of dragon blood in their whole body. Rules were rules, and not a single dragon managed to remain in their territory for more than a day, much less cultivate inside the Nine Levels of Hell Peak, a sacred place for phoenixes.

"I-I don't know!" Feng Yao vigorously shook her head. "I was only told to bring him to this place!"

Once the nearby phoenixes noticed Yuan's scent, they immediately rushed over to the Nine Levels of Hell Peak, thinking that a dragon had invaded their sanctuary.

"A dragon?! In the center of the Eternal Phoenix Domain?! Impossible!"

"How did a dragon manage to invade so deeply inside our territory without revealing its presence until now?!"

"This dragon has a weak presence, but it still doesn't explain how it evaded us until now!"

"The scent is coming from the Nine Levels of Hell Peak! Don't tell me they're trying to sabotage our sacred place!"

Hundreds of phoenixes gathered at the Nine Levels of Hell Peak within minutes, surrounding the place.

Not a single one of them wasn't baffled at the moment of their arrival when they saw the situation.

"W-what the fuck is going on…? What the fuck am I looking at?!"

"Are my eyes deceiving me, or is there a dragon inside the Nine Levels of Hell?! At the sixth level, no less!!!"

None of the newcomers dared to believe their eyes.

Sometime later, they snapped out of their daze and began shouting at each other.

"Hey! Someone go fish that dragon bastard out!"

"Why don't you do it?!"

Although nobody there wanted to admit it, none of them could enter the sixth level, much less drag Yuan out.

"Lady Liqiu! You're the only one here who can endure the flames on the sixth level!"

Eventually, they all turned to the only individual there who had any hopes of surviving the sixth level.

Feng Liqiu remained silent for a moment before responding to their hopeful gazes, "Huh? Why should I?"

Her words instantly shattered their hopes and left them dumbfounded.

"W-what do you mean, why?! There's a dragon in our territory—inside the Nine Levels of Hell!"

She shrugged, "I'm exhausted right now."

"Exhausted? From what?!!"

"From rushing back home," she explained.

"…"

An awkward silence filled the atmosphere.

Suddenly, a loud and authoritative voice resounded, "What the hell is going on here?!"

"Master Mu!" These phoenixes became hopeful again after seeing Feng Mu's appearance.

These phoenixes pointed to the sixth  level of the Nine Levels of Hell without uttering a word.

When Feng Mu followed their gesture and saw Yuan cultivating in the sixth level, his eyes widened with shock and disbelief.

"The sixth level?! Impossible!"

He immediately looked at Feng Liqiu and questioned her, "What did you do to him?"

He assumed Feng Liqiu was responsible for Yuan's achievements since she was the only one there capable of entering the sixth level.

"And why the hell does he smell like a dragon? Is Mother aware of this?"

"No clue what you're talking about." Feng Liqiu casually responded

Feng Mu looked at Yuan and frowned.

"Whatever. If you're not going to take him out, I will do it myself. I won't allow him to dirty this place with his presence any longer."

"Halt."

Right as Feng Mu prepared to dive into the volcano, a calm and clear voice rippled through the air, halting everyone's movement.

The second the phoenixes recognized this voice, they lowered their heads and loudly greeted her.

"Empress Feng!"

"We greet Her Majesty!"

The Primordial Phoenix emerged from a rift, her figure hovering majestically above the Nine Levels of Hell. Her gaze was fixed intently on Yuan, observing him with a mixture of surprise and curiosity.

"Nobody is allowed to disturb him. Leave."

The phoenixes bowed to her and left the scene without uttering a single word. The only ones who remained were her children.

Once most of the spectators were gone, the Primordial Phoenix created a barrier around the peak that prevented Yuan's scent from spreading.

"Mother, did you let him enter knowing that he has dragon blood flowing through his veins?" Feng Mu asked.

"Yes, I am aware."

"..."

Once the Primordial Phoenix confirmed this fact, Feng Mu no longer had any say in this matter. He gave Yuan one final glance before disappearing from the scene.

"I know you're watching this, Primal Monarch." The Primordial Phoenix suddenly spoke out loud.

Sure enough, another rift appeared above the volcano, and the Primal Monarch emerged from it.

"I don't remember the last time I made so many public appearances in such a short time. In fact, this might be a first," he spoke as he appeared.
