Chapter 1660 — Chapter 1660 Ancient Azure Dragon

Sometime after their fight ended, Long Yejun said to Yuan, "Although you have passed the assessment, it never mattered since you're one of the Dragon God's descendants, so you will automatically be ranked above the Divine Dragon Council."

"Oh…"

Yuan wondered if he should follow the flow and pretend to be a Dragon God's Descendant.

'If the Dragon God is as powerful as the Primordial Phoenix, there's a good chance he will be able to see through me, so the longer I continue to impersonate his offspring, the worse things will get for me…'

'However, if I reveal myself now, who knows how Long Yejun and the others will react…'

After some serious pondering, Yuan decided to continue acting as one of the Dragon God's Descendants to take advantage of their training grounds for as long as possible.

Even if his identity were exposed later by the Dragon God, Yuan was confident that the Primal Monarch wouldn't allow any real harm to come to him.

"Hey, we meet again."

A familiar voice suddenly resounded, prompting Yuan to turn his head.

"Princess Meihui." Yuan acknowledged her with a nod.

"There's no need for such formality between us siblings. Allow me to introduce myself again. I am Long Meihui, the youngest of the Dragon God's Descendant." Long Meihui said with a beautiful smile on her face.

"I'm Yuan."

"I'll call you Brother Yuan from now on, so you should call me Sister Meihui. Elder Sister is fine, too." Long Meihui chuckled blissfully.

Although she was the youngest, she was still billions of years old, so one could imagine her happiness in finally becoming an elder sister.

"I am finally an Elder Sister! I am no longer the youngest! Ahaha! I thought this day would never come!" Long Meihui laughed out loud. She was so happy that she began crying a moment later.

"By the way," Yuan suddenly spoke, "Can I still participate in the Dragon God Festival as the Dragon God's Descendant?" "Of course. We'll also be participating." Long Yejun nodded.

"I see. That's great."

"Are you participating because there's something you want to accomplish? Can you tell us? Maybe we can help you right now." Long Meihui suddenly said.

As one of the Dragon God's Descendant, there was very little they couldn't achieve in the Divine Dragon Sanctuary.

Yuan nodded and said, "A close friend of mine is cursed, and I need the power of the Sacred Chalice of Purification to cure him."

"The Sacred Chalice of Purification, huh? If you can bring your friend to the Divine Dragon Sanctuary, we can help him." Long Yejun said.

Yuan shook his head and sighed, "Unfortunately, my friend cannot leave his territory, so I have to bring the treasure to him."

"Hmm… that would be difficult to do since the Sacred Chalice of Purification hasn't left the Divine Dragon Sanctuary since it was brought here." Long Meihui said.

"But if you win the Dragon God Festival, you can make that request to the Dragon God." Long Yejun continued.

"That's what I plan on doing," Yuan said.

"Good luck, Brother Yuan. Although we've participated in nearly every Dragon God Festival since its creation many billion years ago, we've only won a few times." Long Meihui said.

"What kind of trials are in the festival?" Yuan asked.

"All kinds, from trials that test your talent to nonsensical ones like racing each other across the Primal Expanse." Long Yejun said.

"Racing across the Primal Expanse…? How long did that take to finish?" Yuan asked nervously.

"A few hundred years."

"Oh…" Yuan immediately became worried after hearing that the festival may potentially last for hundreds of years.

"What's the shortest time a festival has ever lasted?" he asked a moment later.

"The shortest festival happened 750 million years ago. I believe that one ended in just a few minutes." Long Yejun said after pondering for a few moments.

"Ah, I remember that one. It was a ridiculous trial that required us to catch a Primal prepared by the Dragon God. The Eldest caught it in less than three minutes." Long Meihui sighed as she recalled the events of that day.

"Anyway, Brother Yuan, are you free now? I want to compensate you for the valuables that I destroyed." Long Yejun suddenly said.

"I am free now." Yuan nodded.

"Great. Take this." Long Yejun tossed another teleport stone to him.

"I'll see you later." Long Meihui said to him before flying away.

Sometime later, Yuan crushed the teleport stone and entered the rift, followed by Long Yejun.

When they emerged from the rift, Yuan found himself standing before a beautiful pavilion with a pond built around it.

"Where are we?" he asked.

Long Yejun smiled and said, "The Silver Pavilion."

When Long Yejun approached the pavilion, another portal appeared.

"This is just the entrance to my real home."

Once they entered the portal, Yuan found himself surrounded by an endless, shimmering sea that was completely motionless, like water in a still cup. He stood on a long silver bridge that stretched out toward a distant island, where a large house was situated.

"What do you think of my world?" Long Yejun asked for his impressions.

Yuan looked around for a moment before responding, "I can see that you like water."

Long Yejun laughed at his response.

He then said, "I'm actually a water dragon—an Ancient Azure Dragon."

"A water dragon? I thought you were a land dragon with how well you fought on land." Yuan was surprised to learn this.

Long Yejun smiled and said, "If we had fought near the ocean—even near a small pond, I wouldn't have lost to you."

Water dragons could only unleash their true potential when fighting near or within water, so Long Yejun had been severely handicapped during his battle with Yuan.

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," Yuan said provocatively.

"Do you want to find out?" Long Yejun's aura suddenly surged, causing the still water around them to tremble with excitement.

However, before Yuan could even respond, Long Yejun retracted his aura and chuckled, "I'm just joking with you. Follow me. I'll bring you to my living quarters."

Yuan silently nodded, maintaining a composed expression, though inwardly, he was startled by Long Yejun's aura just now, which was incomparably stronger than when they had fought. 'If we really fought here, I have only about a 20 percent chance of winning...' he sighed inwardly.
