Chapter 1679 — Chapter 1679 Boots of Swift Destruction

After returning to the Endless Arena, Yuan immediately started testing his new equipment and techniques.

'First up, let's try out my new equipment.'

Yuan looked at Long Yejun and said, "Throw some attacks my way."

"How many?"

"As many as you want."

Long Yejun nodded and started attacking Yuan with techniques weaker than his Dragon's Breath.

Since these attacks weren't threatening enough, Yuan just allowed them to land on his body.

The Robes of Destruction increased his Physical Defense by 100,000%, and what would've severely damaged him before barely hurt him now.

"I'm going to attack now," Yuan suddenly warned.

Once Yuan had accumulated enough damage, he activated Dragon of Destruction's Ultimate Chaos, unleashing a ball of concentrated power at Long Yejun.

Long Yejun's eyes widened slightly when a ball of mass destruction that was ten times more powerful than all of his attacks combined flew at him.

Of course, even if the Dragon of Destruction's Ultimate Chaos could strengthen the attacks a thousand times, it would not be enough to harm a hair on Long Yejun, who only attacked Yuan with Divine Lord-level attacks while being as powerful as a God Ascension cultivator.

"Was that your robes ability?" Long Yejun asked afterward. "That attack resembled one of the Dragon of Destruction's techniques."

Yuan nodded, confirming his suspicions.

"So you can draw out the power of the Dragon of Destruction in such a manner… how interesting…" Long Yejun muttered as he learned something new.

"Okay, now attack me with the intent to kill me." Yuan suddenly said. "Do that Dragon's Breath attack on me, but make it stronger than last time."

"Are you serious?" Long Yejun's eyes widened with surprise.

"Don't worry, I won't die."

"If you say so. Don't blame me if anything happens!"

Long Yejun immediately began preparing for a Dragon's Breath.

A few moments later, he released it.

A Dragon's Breath that was twice as powerful as the last one flew at Yuan, who merely stood there with a calm smile on his face.

A black barrier enveloped Yuan's entire body. When the Dragon's Breath connected with the barrier, it was immediately absorbed by the barrier, like a black hole.

Seeing this, Long Yejun continued to release Dragon's Breath.

Long Yejun closed his mouth after seven full seconds.

"Wow… you really escaped that unscathed. Is that also the robe's ability?"

Yuan nodded. "But I can only use it once a month."

"That's amazing. You basically have an extra life every month!" Yuan tested the Boots of Swift Destruction next.

He tested Sky Sundering Steps first. When he activated the technique, Yuan transformed into a streak of golden lightning as he traversed around the arena at the speed of light. However, his spiritual energy was also being drained at lightning speed.

Even with how rapidly he could restore his spiritual energy, Yuan could only maintain Sky Sundering Steps for a full minute before he was completely exhausted.

'Even if it's only for a minute for now, I can travel an immense distance in that minute, and if I use it wisely, I can maintain it for much longer.'

After recovering enough spiritual energy, Yuan began testing Lightning Strides.

Every time he activated Lightning Strides, he would instantly travel tens of thousands of meters, up to 100,000 meters.

'It's basically short-distance teleporting, and it doesn't consume that much spiritual energy either.'

He looked at Long Yejun and asked, "Do you have any technique that restricts movement?"

"I do. Want me to use it on you?"

He nodded.

"Alright."

Long Yejun made a grasping motion at Yuan the next moment.

"Water Prison."

A barrier of water enveloped Yuan. It didn't directly restrict his movements, so the movement immunity from the Boots of Swift Destruction didn't activate, but it did trap him inside.

Once he was fully imprisoned, Yuan activated Lightning Strikes again.

Sha!

He turned into a streak of lightning that bypassed the water barrier, appearing outside it without any issues.

"It's not completely teleportation, but it's close." Long Yejun muttered after seeing this.

Sometime later, Yuan said to Long Yejun, "Alright, I'm going to attack you with a lightning attack next."

"Do your worst." Long Yejun replied with a confident pose and smile.

Yuan pointed at him with two fingers and activated—

[Heaven's Final Judgement!]

The sky above Long Yejun suddenly darkened before swiftly releasing a thick lightning bolt, striking him.

At the same time, Yuan felt all of his spiritual energy deplete almost instantly.

Meanwhile, Long Yejun casually swatted the lightning bolt away.

"It's definitely powerful—even more powerful than your robe's ability, but it didn't completely activate." Long Yejun commented as his gaze landed on Yuan. "Because you lack the cultivation to activate it."

Yuan nodded and said, "Yes, my cultivation is not enough to use it, but I want to try again."

He sat down and cultivated until he fully restored his cultivation.

"I'm going to do it again now."

Once he was prepared, Yuan activated the technique again. However, instead of just using his spiritual energy, he also used the chaotic essence within his Chaotic Heart.

The sky above Long Yejun darkened again, but it was much more ominous this time.

Yuan could feel his spiritual energy and chaotic essence deplete instantly, but miraculously, he managed to retain a sliver of chaotic essence.

[Heaven's Final Judgement!]

BANG!

A massive streak of golden lightning emerged from the black clouds, striking Long Yejun.

Long Yejun tried to flick it away like last time, but when the lightning struck his arm, it immediately exploded, releasing countless smaller lightning energy.

Once the explosion subdued, Long Yejun looked at his arm. It wasn't bleeding, but he wasn't completely unscathed either, as there was a slight burnt spot where the lightning struck.

"For you to damage me without my cultivation suppressed, even if it's only to this degree… As impressive as ever, Brother Yuan!" Long Yejun laughed out loud.
