Chapter 1700 — Chapter 1700 Refining the Dragon God's Blood

"Congratulations to those of you who have survived the first trial." The Dragon God's voice rippled throughout the Divine Dragon Sanctuary.

"You may choose to continue to the second trial or give up now. Those of you who will continue, keep the token in your grasp. Otherwise, crush it. You have an hour to decide."

Once the Dragon God's voice faded, everyone began mumbling to each other.

"He said that most of us won't even be able to refine a single drop of blood, correct? Do you think he's serious, or is he trying to scare us into forfeiting?"

"Knowing the Dragon God, it could go both ways. It's extremely risky, no doubt. However, the benefit of this trial is worth the risk, so I am going to risk it."

"Many of us have risked our lives for much less. This is a no-brainer for me."

Most of the participants shared similar sentiments.

Only a few remained hesitant. However, after thinking about it, they realized if they gave up now, they would have fought to the death for nothing in the previous trial. In the end, everyone who survived the first trial decided to participate in the second trial.

An hour later, the golden token suddenly emitted a golden light, and a small bottle materialized before the participants. Every participant had a single bottle containing ten drops of the Dragon God's blood.

"You will need to refine at least nine drops of blood to pass the second trial within three months. If you manage to refine all ten drops of blood, I will give you a special reward at the end." The Dragon God's voice returned.

"What kind of reward?" The participants mused to themselves.

However, the Dragon God did not respond to their curiosity and disappeared after saying, "The second trial begins now."

Yuan inspected the bottle of blood in his grasp. He had a quarter of a year to refine nine drops of blood, which seemed plenty of time at a glance.

However, after inspecting the Dragon God's blood, each drop contained an immense amount of chaotic essence that could take months if not years to refine, but they're only given three months to refine nine drops, which seemed impossible.

The first participant to act and consume a drop of the Dragon God's blood was Long Wu Qing. She retrieved a drop and swallowed it without hesitation. She then closed her eyes and began to cultivate in silence.

Many participants followed and consumed their first drop.

"Agh!"

Suddenly, a painful shout pierced the air, drawing everyone's attention. As heads turned toward the source of the scream, the individual who had cried out exploded into a gruesome, bloody mess before anyone could fully process what had happened.

However, that was just the beginning, and the situation quickly grew more chaotic as more and more participants exploded after failing to refine the Dragon God's blood.

The gruesome scene terrified the others, but they couldn't forfeit now and forcefully consumed their first drop of blood.

In half an hour, nearly 70 percent of the participants had perished from just the first drop of blood. There were tens of millions of participants who had passed the first trial, so one could imagine the carnage that occurred within these thirty minutes.

Yuan was one of the last participants to consume the Dragon God's blood. As soon as the first drop entered his body, a powerful surge of energy began coursing through his veins, filling him with a strength unlike anything he had felt before.

However, that sensation was short-lived. Shortly after his body began surging with energy, something within his body activated and started consuming the energy at a tremendous rate.

The energy from the Dragon God's blood disappeared within minutes, causing Yuan to raise an eyebrow.

When nothing else happened after waiting for several minutes, Yuan looked at the bottle of blood in his grasp. After some consideration, he retrieved the second drop of blood and consumed it.

His actions greatly bewildered the onlookers.

"Didn't he just consume a drop of blood a few minutes ago?"

"You're saying he's already on the second drop? Impossible! Even the Unrivaled Tyrant is still on her first drop of blood! You definitely saw it wrong, and he'd just consumed his first drop."

The onlookers quickly dismissed the possibility that Yuan had already refined the first drop of blood, let alone started on the second—everyone, that is, except for Yingzi. Having been watching Yuan closely from the very beginning, she was certain that he had already refined the first drop of the Dragon God's blood.

"There's no way he'd just refined a drop of my enhanced blood in just a few minutes. Did you do something to him?" The Dragon God questioned the Primal Monarch after witnessing this.

The Primal Monarch calmly shook his head and refuted, "No, I have nothing to do with this."

Yuan absorbed the second drop of blood just as fast as the first… No, it was slightly faster.

"No, no, no. There's just no way!" The Dragon God exclaimed as he watched Yuan consume the third drop of blood, his voice filled with disbelief.

"You must've done something to help him! I refuse to believe a human has the capability to refine my blood this quickly!"

The Primal Monarch glared at him and sneered, "Why would I lie to you? If I said I have nothing to do with it, then I didn't." His tone was cold, leaving no room for doubt or further questioning.

The Dragon God clenched his fists as he returned to focusing on Yuan, who was already preparing to consume the fourth drop of blood.

A few moments later.
