Chapter 1720 — Chapter 1720 Even More Monstrous Than Yuan

"What's there to think about? I can tell you're someone who craves a good battle just as much as I do. Moreover, your physique…" Kelan's gaze lowered to look at Yuan's physique.

'His clothes and boots are both Celestial-grade treasures. Either his family or sect spoiled him, understandably so. This young man is not even 28 years old, and his aura is already this overwhelming. His cultivation is also deceptively low. There's no doubt he can fight someone several realms above his own. Yuan may be a monster, but this guy is on a whole different level!'

Kelan compared Yuan to the mysterious monster before him. Although Yuan was wearing clothes that covered most of his skin, Kelan could still tell that he had a powerful physique.

"You're a body refiner like me, aren't you?" Kelan asked.

"I do temper my body whenever I get the chance, but I cannot say that I am strictly a body refiner." Yuan shook his head.

"That's absolute nonsense. Even gifted and hardcore body refiners in the Ninth Heaven will have difficulties achieving your level at your age." Kelan did not believe Yuan in the slightest.

"My level? What do you think my level is?"

"I can't say for certain without exchanging a few punches with you, but it's definitely as extraordinary as that ominous energy inside your body."

'Oh? He can sense my chaotic essence even though I hid it to the best of my abilities?' Yuan was slightly surprised.

Although Kelan could sense something ominous inside Yuan, it was just a feeling, and he had no idea what it was. Yuan's gaze suddenly turned to look at the members of the Demon Sealing Faction and asked, "Those children are yours?"

Kelan shook his head and said, "No, not really. I am just training them. They're not really my disciple."

"They're not your disciples, but you're still willing to train them? I didn't know the Celestial Overlords were this generous."

"It's complicated, and I don't know about the others, but I don't mind training strangers as long as they show promise and determination."

"Are you confident they'll be able to reach the top 20?" Yuan asked.

"Of course. I have confidence that they'll dominate the whole tournament and reach the top 20—unless they start fighting each other. However, one of them will definitely win the tournament." Kelan spoke in a proud manner, as if he was speaking of his own children.

"I see. Then how about this? If one of them manages to defeat me, I'll spar with you."

Kelan didn't immediately respond because even he wasn't confident they could beat him while his cultivation was suppressed to Spirit Grandmaster.

'No… I need to have some trust in them, especially that little monster who might one day rival Yuan. I don't believe they won't be able to defeat a Spirit Grandmaster, even if their opponent is a prodigy from the upper heavens!' Kelan thought to himself, shaking away his doubt.

"Alright," he said a moment later.

"Very well."

Yuan didn't say anything else and returned to watching the tournament.

"I'll be back," Kelan said before flying back to the others directly from the booth.

"What did you talk to him about?" Li Jinxi asked, her face filled with curiosity.

"That man is much more powerful than I'd anticipated, but that doesn't mean you have no chance of winning. He'll be suppressed to Spirit Grandmaster. If you guys, who are also able to defeat those above your own realm, cannot defeat someone at his level… Ah, forget it."

"Anyway, you need to defeat him no matter what, you hear me? Otherwise, I'll force all of you to endure a whole year of hell that would make even the disciples at my sect wish for death—regardless if Yuan has returned or not."

The members of the Demon Sealing Faction swallowed nervously upon seeing Kelan's serious expression. Although Kelan hadn't mentioned anything about his spar with Yuan, they could instinctively sense that something significant was on the line.

"If you compare him to Yuan, how would you—" Xi Meili suddenly asked.

Kelan interrupted before she could even finish her sentence, "Yuan is very talented—probably one of the most talented individuals I know, but this man is on another level. I don't want to pat my own butt, but I am very confident in my ability to assess people's abilities with a glance."

"How big is their disparity, in your opinion?" Li Jinxi asked.

Kelan pondered for a moment before responding, "If Yuan was at the Spirit Sovereign realm, he'd probably be able to defeat someone at the Divine Emperor realm—even the Divine Sovereign realm with some difficulty. However, that man will be able to defeat someone in the Immortal Ascension realm. The difference between Divine Sovereign, Divine Ancestor, and Immortal Ascension is unfathomably vast."

"Of course, this is just an estimate since I haven't fought him. For all we know, he could be weaker—or even stronger." "Man, it's really hard to believe that someone out there could outclass Yuan to such an extent. Is this what it feels like to be a frog in a well? I never thought I'd see the day, but alas…" Hong Xiuquan sighed.

"Hey, hey! Why are you suddenly acting like Yuan is no longer relevant? We're still talking about Yuan in the past! Who knows how much he's improved in the last three years." Chu Liuxiang suddenly spoke up with a frown on her face.

"Calm down, Sister Chu. We're not looking down on Yuan. He's still a monster. We're just surprised that someone is even more monstrous than him." Wu Zao said.

"However, what Sister Chu said has merit. We haven't seen Yuan in three years, so we cannot compare them in a fair manner. However, we can all agree that the Yuan three years ago would lose to this powerhouse, right?"

"..."

"I'll withhold my opinion until I fight that man." Li Jinxi said.

"Me too." Wang Xiuying agreed.

At the same time, Feng Yuxiang asked Yuan about Kelan, "Who was that man? And why is he training Meixiu and the others?"

Yuan smiled and said, "Let me explain. It's a long story, though. Fortunately, we have plenty of time."
