Chapter 1751 — Chapter 1751 Embroidery

"You want to know about the Xi Family? It'll have to depend on your questions since some information cannot be disclosed." Xi Meili said.

Shen Shi nodded and asked, "Then can you tell me what life is like in the Xi Family for you?"

"Life is boring." Xi Meili sighed. "As a princess from a royal family yourself, you should know what I mean. We spend most of our time studying and cultivating long before we even learn to run, and there's always a certain level of expectations for our every action. There are a lot of things that I wish to do but cannot do solely because of my background. It's a little suffocating at times if I have to be honest." Shen Shi's eyes flickered with emotion after hearing her own experience and feelings from Xi Meili's mouth. "I understand!" she said, "And I'm sure it's a lot worse for you, who is from the Supreme Heaven! I cannot even begin to fathom your hardships…"

"Well, I am used to it by now."

"Then what do you typically do when you're not studying or cultivating?"

"I go out to do missions such as this one for my family, which might be the only thing keeping me sane. Every time I leave home, it's like visiting a new world." "Do you have any hobbies that you do when you're free?" Shen Shi continued to ask.

"Hmm… Don't make fun of me for saying this, but I enjoy making things, such as sewing or embroidery."

"Wow! You know embroidery?! That's amazing!"

Xi Meili chuckled, "I can make something simple for you while we wait for your father's return. We have plenty of time, after all."

"Really?! Please do!" Shen Shi nodded enthusiastically.

Xi Meili proceeded to retrieve a piece of white cloth, a thread, and multiple colorful yarns. Once prepared, she began working with swift and precise movements.

Not only was Shen Shi amazed, but Yuan was also surprised by her unexpected talent.

'I didn't know she had such a hobby.' Yuan smiled inwardly. He thought she was a princess who only knew how to fight, so something so delicate was truly unexpected.

Several hours later, Xi Meili handed the finished piece to Shen Shi, whose eyes flickered excitedly.

"Here you go."

The embroidery had Shen Shi's name, as well as Shen Shi's beautiful face on it.

"Wow! This looks just like a painting! How did you achieve such fine details in this small piece of cloth? I watched from the beginning to end and still cannot figure it out." "The secret lies in the materials—the yarn, specifically. See how thin they are? It will take much longer to complete the work, but it's definitely worth it." Xi Meili showed her the yarns.

"Want to learn? I can teach you." Xi Meili then asked Shen Shi.

Shen Shi nodded enthusiastically, and Xi Meili began teaching Shen Shi the art of embroidery.

Sometime later, the guard outside the Shen Family noticed a lone figure wearing a veil approaching their residence.

"Halt and identity yourself!" The guard shouted at her.

"Tan Songyun from the Fairy Paradise. I would like to speak with the Dragon King."

"What does the Fairy Paradise want from the Dragon King?"

"This is a private matter," she said.

"Regardless, you'll have to come back later since the Dragon King left yesterday."

"When will he come back?" Tan Songyun asked.

"He should be back sometime today—tomorrow at the latest. However, you should return next week since we have important guests at the Shen Family, and we don't know when they'll be leaving."

"Important guests?" Tan Songyun raised her eyebrows.

"Fine, I'll be back next week. Notify the Dragon King of my presence the moment he returns."

Tan Songyun didn't argue with the guard and turned around.

However, just as she began leaving, her footsteps halted.

"Hm? What's that noise?" The guard raised an eyebrow after hearing a beautiful sound coming from inside the Shen Family.

Hearing this noise, Tan Songyun turned around and approached the guard once again.

"Change of plans. I need to speak with the individual playing the zither right now," she said.

Not only was the sound played from a zither, but Tan Songyun could sense the Soul Ensnaring Zither's aura from those music notes.

'The Soul Ensnaring Zither! That means that bastard is currently at the Shen Family! I have finally found you, Tian Kai!' Tan Songyun clenched her fists in anger.

"I-I'm sorry, but that's not possible. The Shen Family is not accepting any visitors right now, even if that individual is the Fairy Empress herself."

"I don't care. I will speak with the man playing that zither today, whether you let me or not."

Tan Songyun ignored the guard and approached the gates.

"If you take another step forward, I will have to stop you forcefully!" The guard raised his sword at her.

"You can try." Tan Songyun retrieved her sword and swung it at the gate, destroying it in the blink of an eye.

The guard rushed to stop her, but he was sent flying the next moment.

"Intruder! We have an intruder!" The guard shouted, his voice resounding throughout the Shen Family's premises.

Noticing the commotion outside, the Shen Family's guards and elders quickly moved to assess the situation. Typically, only the guards would intervene, but with the Xi Family and the Dragon Emperor visiting, the elders felt compelled to take action as well.

"Who dares to invade the Shen Family?! Are you looking for an early death?!"

"Elders! That woman claims to be from the Fairy Paradise!" The guard said.

"What? The Fairy Paradise? Are you trying to start a war with the Royal Dragon Family?!" The guards and elders surrounded Tan Songyun.

"I have no business with the Shen Family. I only have business with whoever is playing the zither right now!" Tan Songyun said, releasing her cultivation base.

"An immortal!" The elders were shocked once they realized she was emitting Immortal Qi.
