Chapter 1776 — Chapter 1776 Level 4 Array Master

After arriving in the city home to the Array Tower, Yuan was immediately struck by the sheer number of formations that filled the area. The bustling streets were a showcase of intricate arrays and formations, seamlessly integrated into everyday life. From glowing defensive barriers that protected the buildings to automated market stalls and transportation platforms powered by arrays.

Compared to all the other places Yuan had visited in the Nine Heavens, this city had an almost futuristic appearance.

Moreover, the formations grew increasingly impressive as Yuan approached the Array Tower. The tower itself was a marvel of formation craftsmanship, its structure covered in profound Tier 7 and above formations that radiated an aura of power and complexity.

Out of the five Breakthrough Towers, the Array Tower was undeniably the most protected and powerful. Attacking it would be akin to trying to breach a fortress where you could be attacked in every direction, regardless of your location.

At the entrance of the Array Tower was a sign that read, "Only Level 5 Array Masters and above qualify to take the entrance exam to join the Array Tower."

"Level 5 Array Master, huh?" Yuan was currently a Level 2 Array Master, though this was primarily because he hadn't yet taken the assessments for the higher levels. His true knowledge and capabilities surpassed his official rank.

Occasionally, Yu Ning, with her extensive expertise, would lecture Yuan, helping to deepen his understanding of the art. While these lessons weren't frequent, they were more than enough to help him become a Level 4 Array Master.

"I need to somehow improve my array skills to level 5 before I can even attempt to join the Array Tower…"

Yuan left the Array Tower and began wandering the city in hopes of finding something, as he couldn't ask for Yu Ning's help since she was sent to the spectator's room.

However, not wanting to stress out Tan Songyun, Yuan had them sent to a second spectator's room, so while Tan Songyun occupied a room herself, Xiao Hua, Feng Yuxiang, Yu Ning, and Yingzi also occupied their own rooms.

As for Zi Xuan, Ji Ran, and Dragon Goddess Yeyou, they remained within Yuan's Soul Weapons. That said, Yuan wouldn't be able to contact them until the trial ended.

Sometime later, Yuan stopped in front of a specific building.

"Array Masters' Association."

Such a sign was grandly displayed on this building.

"I should improve my rank first," he muttered to himself as he entered the building.

When Yuan got close enough, the young man standing by the entrance asked, "How can we help you today?"

Yuan retrieved his Level 2 Array Master badge and showed it to the young man.

"I'm here for a promotion."

"Of course! Please, follow me."

Yuan followed the young man into a spacious room, where three individuals were already seated behind desks. Their authoritative auras were palpable, radiating a sense of power and experience that immediately set the tone of the room. It was clear that these three were the judges responsible for overseeing his assessment. They studied Yuan with discerning eyes, their expressions neutral but their scrutiny evident.

"State your name and current rank," said the old man sitting in the middle.

"I am a Level 2 Array Master, Yuan."

"Then you'll be partaking in a level 3 assessment. I want you to create a hundred level 3 array symbols within 10 seconds. You have half a minute to prepare yourself."

Yuan then said, "I can start now."

Without any hesitation, he began writing in the air, creating a hundred flawless level 3 array symbols in only a little over two seconds.

The judges' eyes widened with awe and surprise after seeing his flawless array symbols. They couldn't believe how quickly Yuan had managed to create such beautiful symbols in such a short time.

"You don't plan on stopping after passing the level 3 assessment, correct?" one of them suddenly asked.

Yuan nodded, "I plan on taking the level 4 and level 5 assessment as well."

Even if he wasn't confident in passing the level 5 assessment, he still wanted to try it and see how close he was to being one.

"Very well."

They continued the assessment shortly after.

The three judges began creating their own level 3 formations. Once they were done, they had Yuan try to replicate it to the best of his abilities.

Familiar with this process, Yuan copied them flawlessly.

"You pass."

The judges nodded with satisfied looks on their faces.

For the final test, Yuan had to create a level 3 formation that wasn't just used by the judges, and he had three minutes to do so.

Yuan didn't spend much time pondering and randomly picked one—not that he knew many level 3 formations.

Sometime later, Yuan finished the formation.

"Congratulations, you have passed the assessment. Do you wish to take the level 4 assessment right away? Of course, you can return another day to take it."

"I want to take the level four formation right now."

The judges nodded.

"Then, for your first test, you must create forty level 4 and three hundred level 3 array symbols within 30 seconds. You have a minute to prepare, or you can start before then."

Yuan didn't immediately start. He took about ten seconds to mentally prepare himself before he started writing in the air.

It took him seven seconds to finish all three hundred level 3 array symbols, but the level 4 array symbols were much more complex and tricky. Although he only had to create forty of them, it took him almost as long as it took him to create the level 3 array symbols.

Next, he had to copy the judges' level 4 formations, most of them consisting of around five hundred symbols.

Several minutes later, Yuan easily passed the second test and moved on to the final one. Sure enough, he passed it with flying colors as well, becoming a Level 4 Array Master in no time.
