Chapter 1796 — Chapter 1796 Heavenly Beast Sect(2)

"You guys can do whatever. I'm going to cultivate," said Tan Songyun.

She pointed to a certain room and continued, "I'll be staying in there. Don't bother me unless it's an emergency."

After saying that, Tan Songyun entered the room she picked.

"It's not easy getting along with her," Xi Meili sighed.

"I'm sure she'll open her heart more as she comes to trust us," Yuan said with a calm and reassuring tone. "Anyway, it's only three months. I don't really have anything in mind, so I'll probably just cultivate."

When Yuan mentioned he would cultivate, he wasn't referring to increasing his cultivation but rather to strengthening his Soul Strength. While his soul cultivation technique passively enhanced his Soul Strength over time, actively cultivating it allowed for much greater and faster progress.

"In that case, I'll take a look around the Heavenly Beast Sect. This is my first time visiting a human sect, much less one that focuses on taming magical beasts," said Xi Meili.

"Have fun, and try not to cause any trouble."

"I'll go with her." Feng Yuxiang suddenly emerged from his Dantian and said.

"Alright."

"Are we going now?" Feng Yuxiang asked Xi Meili a moment later.

"Yes."

"Wait, I also want to come." Lan Yingying suddenly appeared and said.

"The more the merrier." Xi Meili chuckled.

Thus, Feng Yuxiang, Lan Yingying, and Xi Meili left the building to explore the Heavenly Beast Sect.

Once they left, Yingzi appeared and said, "I am going to try to cultivate with the cultivation technique you gave me."

"Sure. If there is anything you don't understand about the technique, let me know."

Yingzi nodded, and she sat on the ground with the cultivation technique in her grasp.

While Yuan cultivated his soul strength and Yingzi started learning the cultivation technique, Xi Meili and her group approached one of the Heavenly Beast Sect's servants.

"Excuse me, we would like to take a look around the Heavenly Beast Sect. Would that be fine?" Xi Meili asked the young servant.

"Of course. However, you will need a sect elder to accompany you at all times. Do you see that tall building there? You can find someone to accompany you there." The servant pointed at the pagoda not too far in the distance.

"I see it. Thank you."

Sometime later, Xi Meili and the others entered the pagoda. Inside, several individuals with a powerful presence were present, and they were all speaking with a sect elder of the Heavenly Beast Sect.

Noticing Xi Meili's group, a female sect elder approached them and asked, "Hello, are you here for a guide?"

"Yes, we'd like to take a look around the sect."

"I understand. Please, follow me."

The sect elder brought them to a nearby empty desk.

"Before we assign you with someone, is there any specific place within the sect you would like to visit?"

"Not really. What about you guys?" Xi Meili asked the other two.

"I don't really care, either." Feng Yuxiang said.

Lan Yingying then said, "I would like to learn more about taming in general. How do normal cultivators and their contracted beasts typically act?"

"Oh? Are you looking to become a beast tamer yourself?" the sect elder asked, misunderstanding Lan Yingying's intentions.

"Something like that, I guess." Lan Yingying decided to go along with the sect elder.

"In that case, we can give you a full tour around the Heavenly Beast Sect. Please give me a moment to see if any guide is available…"

A few moments later, she spoke, "I'm sorry, but all of our guides are currently attending to other guests. I can put you on a waiting list for now, and we'll contact you as soon as the next guide becomes available."

"Sure." Xi Meili nodded.

"Are you currently residing within the sect?" the sect elder then asked.

"Yes, we're staying at building 909."

"In that case, we will send the guide straight to your building whenever we have one."

"Okay. Thank you."

Xi Meili and the others returned to their living quarters and waited for their guide to show up.

A few hours after they returned home, someone knocked on their door.

"Excuse me, I am here as your guide." A woman's voice loudly resounded outside.

"Already?" Xi Meili was pleasantly surprised by how fast the guide showed up.

When she opened the door, a woman with red and yellowish hair greeted her.

"My name is Hong Ling, and I will be your guide."

Xi Meili and the others gathered outside.

"Um…"

When Hong Ling saw Feng Yuxiang, she hastily approached her and said, "Um… It's an honor to meet you, Senior Phoenix!"

Feng Yuxiang raised an eyebrow and asked, "Do I know you?"

"No, but the Sect Leader—my master—told me about you!" Hong Ling explained, her tone filled with a mix of excitement and awe. "I am actually a beast with the Crimson Raven bloodline," she added.

After hearing about Feng Yuxiang, Hong Ling wanted to meet her immediately. However, Hong Ling didn't want to appear nosy, so she spent a good amount of time wondering how she should approach Feng Yuxiang.

After learning about their situation, Hong Ling immediately volunteered to be their guide. No, she demanded to be their guide.

"I see. Nice to meet you."

Hong Ling's eyes sparkled with a mix of excitement and reverence, her demeanor resembling that of a fangirl standing before her idol.

Crimson Ravens were powerful magical beasts, highly respected for their mastery of fire. Though they were not true phoenixes, their abilities and lineage placed them in close relation, often considered distant cousins of phoenixes.

Hong Ling retrieved a flying treasure that was an enormous crimson feather with a flourish, her excitement palpable as she exclaimed, "I heard you wanted to learn more about beast taming! Don't worry—I'll make sure you know everything there is to know about our path before this tour ends!"

"We'll be in your care." Feng Yuxiang nodded as she stepped onto the flying treasure.

Xi Meili and Lan Yingying followed.
