Chapter 1804 — Chapter 1804 Heavenly Beast Sect(10)

"I understand your feelings, Yingying, but being a contracted beast is more than just about fighting," Yuan spoke after hearing Lan Yingying out.

"When I was the Immortal Monarch, the Nine Divine Supremes barely stood in the frontlines, and I fought most of my enemies on my own, but that didn't mean they were useless or didn't fulfill their role. Everyone has their own role."

"For example, the Shadow Dweller rarely fought but specialized in information gathering. The Celestial Turtle spent most of its time serving as my flying treasure and living quarters as we traveled the starry sky. The Divine Yin Yang Crane, the laziest of all, spent most of its time sleeping."

"Instead of focusing on how you can assist me in battle, you should try to figure out the kind of role you want to play as my contracted beast. Even if you don't have any specific role, I will never see you as useless or a burden."

"My own role…" Lan Yingying muttered with a contemplating expression on her face.

"That's right," Feng Yuxiang suddenly joined the conversation. "In my case, I see myself as our group's finance expert and wallet. If you ever need money, you can always come to me." Yuan raised an eyebrow at her words and asked, "Our wallet? Since when?"

"I decided that just now," she proudly announced. "Doing business was just a hobby—something to pass the time while I figured out how to remove my curse, and I have more money than I ever need, so I might as well put it to good use."

Although Feng Yuxiang certainly had enough wealth to serve as the group's financier, Yuan wasn't lacking either, with piles of treasures and precious materials at his disposal.

"Although I don't know how I feel about using you as a wallet, there is something I would like you to do for me using your expertise as a business expert," Yuan said a moment later. "Can you help me sell all of these treasures and materials that I have been collecting?" He showed all of the treasures he'd collected over time, from treasures he looted from his enemies to materials he found in the Primal Expanse.

"Wow, there's enough to open a store…" Feng Yuxiang swallowed nervously after seeing the massive pile of treasures before her.

"Are you in a hurry to sell them?" she then asked.

"No, you can take your time selling them. If it's too much, you can just sell the most valuable treasures," he said.

"No! This is something you entrusted me to do! I will sell every single treasure here, even if some of them are only worth less than a single spirit stone!" she declared.

"Thank you."

"Since we still have plenty of time before the Hidden Domain is accessible, I'll start selling the treasures now." Feng Yuxiang said.

"How do you intend on doing that?" Xi Meili asked out of curiosity.

"I can easily hand off most of these treasures to auction houses and sell them that way, but that would be too easy, and we won't be getting the full value of these treasures. In that case, I'll open a store and sell them myself."

"Opening a store? You make it sound so easy…" Xi Meili said.

"That's because it's easy. Do you want to come and experience it yourself? I can use a helper." "A helper, huh? Sure." Xi Meili nodded after pondering for a moment.

"What about you?" Feng Yuxiang looked at Lan Yingying.

"I'll stay in the Heavenly Beast Sect to study more about beast tamers," she said.

"Just to be safe, I'll have Yin or Yang follow you," Yuan said a moment later.

Feng Yuxiang smiled and said, "You don't need to worry too much, Young Master. We're not going out to play. Most marketplaces have strict rules and are well-guarded."

A few days later, once all preparations were done, Feng Yuxiang and Xi Meili set out for their business endeavor, leaving the Heavenly Beast Sect.

"Yin, are you here?"

"I am here," Like a ghost, Yin responded to his call through voice transmission.

"Can you follow Feng Feng and Meili and watch over them? If anything happens, contact me immediately."

"As you command."

After leaving the Heavenly Beast Sect, Feng Yuxiang and Xi Meili traveled to the nearest business city to open a store. Thanks to Feng Yuxiang's experience, the process went incredibly smoothly, and within just three days, they had their store up and running.

"How can you tell a treasure's worth? I can't tell at all." Xi Meili said as she helped Feng Yuxiang place the treasures inside their display case.

"Experience, experience, and experience. I have been selling treasures for centuries, after all."

"What made you choose this kind of work?" Xi Meili then asked.

"I honestly don't know. It was the first thing that came to my mind when I thought about what I wanted to do. I didn't question it, either."

Sometime later, their store had its first customer.

"W-what kind of material is this?! Where did you acquire it?!" The customer was shocked after seeing an unknown material that Yuan had acquired from the Primal Expanse.

Feng Yuxiang calmly smiled and said, "I'll tell you if you purchase a treasure."

The customer swallowed nervously.

"Any treasure?"

"Yes."

After some contemplating, the customer purchased one of the cheaper treasures in the store, paying several hundred spirit stones just to learn more about the material.

"This material was acquired from a Hidden Domain," Feng Yuxiang said.

"A Hidden Domain! Is it still available?!"

"I'm sorry, but I cannot say more. Moreover, I am not the owner of this material, and I am merely helping the owner sell it."

"How much for this material?"

"This is a one-of-a-kind material, so I cannot sell it immediately. However, you're more than welcome to leave an offer for the owner."

"In that case, I will be back later with some experts," said the customer.

"As you wish."
