Chapter 1844 — Chapter 1844 Peerless Immortal Technique

The Peerless Immortal Technique was comprised of nine known levels, with the first two levels considered the foundational basics.

Although most disciples only ever managed to reach Level 2, even at this stage, they were able to display a level of prowess that far surpassed that of other cultivators with the same cultivation level. This is why, despite the difficulty, the Immortal Monastery remained a top sect during the Primordial Era.

Yuan retrieved one of his swords from his spatial ring and made his way to an empty spot in the Training Grounds. With plenty of space around him, he could practice without worrying about disturbing the others.

'While the Peerless Immortal Technique is the Immortal Monastery's main technique, they also have other techniques that, while not as versatile, are still incredibly powerful,' Yuan thought to himself, considering his options.

The Peerless Immortal Technique was designed to amplify and enhance other techniques, meaning it required a foundational technique to pair with. Without one, practicing it would be meaningless.

Yuan closed his eyes and focused, delving deep into Tian Yang's memories to recall the techniques he had once practiced. Once the memories surfaced, Yuan began training.

The first technique was called Thousand Miles Sword Strike, a straightforward yet powerful sword art. With a precise swing of the sword, it unleashed a sharp arc of spiritual energy, cutting through the air and striking targets from a distance.

Standing on the Training Grounds, Yuan raised his sword, channeling his spiritual energy as he practiced the technique. He swung the blade, and a faint arc of energy shot forward, dissipating shortly after. It wasn't perfect, but with each repetition, his movements grew sharper, and the spiritual energy more concentrated.

Several hours later, once Yuan was satisfied with the speed and distance, he began training the Peerless Immortal Technique.

Once activated, Yuan's sword became engulfed in an ominous red and black aura. The next time he used the Thousand Miles Sword Strike, it flew two times faster and further than before while only using about 50 percent more spiritual energy than he usually would.

'With my cultivation, I'll only be able to use the Peerless Immortal Technique up to the first level, but this is already powerful enough.'

Yuan continued training until he was satisfied.

As Yuan concluded his training session and prepared to leave, he caught sight of three individuals approaching him from a distance. Their hurried pace and the unmistakable killing intent in their gazes left no doubt about their hostile intentions.

These three disciples were the same ones who tried to rob his Enriched Roots of Vigor. Despite having plenty of time to run away, Yuan remained still, patiently waiting for them to reach him.

The three disciples thought he was frozen from fear, causing smiles to appear on their faces.

"Did you really think we'd forget about what happened last time, you bamboo bastard?" the Spirit Warrior snarled, his voice dripping with anger. His face turned red, both from the effort of suppressing his rage and the humiliation that resurfaced as he recalled their previous encounter.

"Of course not. In fact, I was hoping you'd return," Yuan said.

He faced them with a calm expression and continued, "So, what are you going to do about it?"

"How dare—"

The Spirit Warrior's voice halted as he noticed Yuan's cultivation.

"Y-you! How are you already a Spirit Warrior?! You were only at the sixth level of Spirit Apprentice the last time we spoke!"

In the time it had taken Yuan to advance from the sixth level of Spirit Apprentice to Spirit Warrior, none of the three disciples had made any progress in their cultivation

This realization didn't just shock the three disciples—it terrified them.

The speed of Yuan's advancement was far beyond anything they had seen or heard of before, and the thought that they might have offended a genius sent chills down their spines. Their anger and confidence began to waver, replaced by a creeping sense of dread as they considered the possibility of offending someone they shouldn't have.

Noticing the fear in their eyes, Yuan smiled and said, "Is there something weird about me being a Spirit Warrior?"

He raised his sword and activated the Peerless Immortal Technique before pressing its blade against the Spirit Warrior's neck.

"I want to kill the three of you right now, but I am a rule-abiding disciple. However, if I see any of you outside the sect—especially the Hunting Grounds, I won't give any warnings and swing my sword."

The disciples trembled in fear. However, it was not Yuan's threat that terrified them—it was his usage of the Peerless Immortal Technique. Despite being at the sect for over half a decade, neither of them had managed to reach the first level of the technique.

Yet, despite having just become a Spirit Warrior, Yuan was already demonstrating a mastery of the technique that seemed superior to even that of Inner Court disciples.

"I will give you five seconds to get out of my sight before I start swinging my sword."

"Y-you wouldn't dare to kill another disciple in the sect!"

"This is the Training Grounds. Accidents happen here every once in a while. I can just say that I was too absorbed in my training to notice you and accidentally killed you," Yuan shrugged.

The moment the disciples sensed the cold, suffocating wave of killing intent emanating from Yuan, their courage evaporated in an instant. Without a second thought, they turned and bolted, fleeing as fast as their legs could carry them.

Once those three disciples left, Yuan made his way to the Hunting Grounds.

At the Hunting Grounds, Yuan ignored the weaker magical beasts and went straight to the area with powerful magical beasts at the Spirit Warrior level.

Magical beasts are inherently stronger than human cultivators at the same level, so it was common to see disciples work together to hunt a single magical beast. However, Yuan traversed the place alone, killing magical beasts left and right with the Thousand Miles Sword Strike and Peerless Immortal Technique, quickly filling his spatial ring with materials.
