Chapter 1931 — 1931: Demon Sealing Clan's Highest Priority

"I—I don't know what you're talking about!" Yan Hara exclaimed, slamming her hand on the desk as she shot to her feet. Her voice trembled, and the panic in her eyes was impossible to miss.

Sun Ling Cai chuckled, "You're really cute when you panic, Senior Sister Yan. You're also very bad at acting. Who are you trying to fool with that kind of reaction? Anyway, I know that the Little Founder is the Divine Paragon's reincarnation."

Yan Hara's entire body trembled at such words.

"H-How did you…?"

"Relax, the Little Founder told me himself."

"You met Yuan?! Where and when did you meet him?!"

"I was with him right before I returned to the Demon Sealing Clan. Ah, he's in the Sixth Heaven right now."

"He's in the Sixth Heaven already?!"

Despite knowing that Yuan was the Divine Paragon's reincarnation, Yan Hara was still surprised by his fast progress.

"Yes, and he'll be arriving at the Seventh Heaven soon."

"In that case, I must head down to the Seventh Heaven to meet him as soon as possible!"

"Slow down a bit, Senior Sister Yan. I still have a lot to tell you."

"Oh, right… I heard you dealt with two demons before returning. Was he with you at that time?"

Sun Ling Cai nodded with a somewhat bitter look on her face and said, "Honestly, he was the one who dealt with the demons."

"Eh?" Yan Hara's eyebrows rose in a questioning manner.

"I altered my report to protect the Little—the Founder. In truth, the demons weren't ordinary demons. One was a Demon General, and the other… was a Demon Emperor."

"A Demon Emperor?!?!?!" Yan Hara exclaimed, nearly falling on her buttocks from shock.

"The Founder called it Demon Emperor Slaughter. If it weren't for the Founder, I would've died that day."

"So he's powerful enough to defeat a Demon Emperor by himself now…" Yan Hara clenched her fists in excitement.

"He didn't just defeat the Demon Emperor. He practically toyed with it. I have never seen anyone mess with a demon like that before, much less a Demon Emperor." Sun Ling Cai sighed as she recalled their fight.

"I am going to need you to tell me everything that happened from the beginning to end without missing a single detail," Yan Hara spoke with a serious look on her face.

Sun Ling Cai nodded.

Once they were seated, tea in hand, Sun Ling Cai began recounting everything to Yan Hara in vivid detail. She left nothing out—starting from her arrival at the Frozen Cloud Ethereal Sect, to witnessing Yuan confront the Demon Worshippers, and finally, his battle with and victory over the Demon Emperor.

Yan Hara's body trembled with delight as she listened.

"Ah… he's truly grown into an unfathomable individual since I last saw him… I cannot wait to see him again," she muttered in a daze.

"Also, I can't believe he turned out to be the demon we've spent the last several years searching for… It's no wonder he'd hide his identity from you."

Sun Ling Cai then spoke, "Oh, right. When I asked him if I could be of any assistance, he asked me to ask you."

"Assistance, huh? Actually, I do need some help. I have been thinking about recruiting people outside our clan to my group, and you, who have more influence than me outside the Demon Sealing Clan, can help me do that."

"You're trying to dethrone Qian Chu, right? Why would outsiders matter in the Demon Sealing Clan's affairs?" Sun Ling Cai asked.

"You're not thinking far enough. While an outsider may have no say in our affairs, do you think Qian Chu will peacefully hand over his position to us?"

"Probably not… We all know how obsessive he is with his position. He might even fight us to death if it means protecting his position."

Yan Hara nodded and continued, "And once he starts fighting, those on his side will join. Qian Chu has over half of the Demon Sealing Clan's support. If we want to defeat him, we'll need external help."

"That might be true now, but if the Founder reveals himself, I'm sure most of them would switch sides," said Sun Ling Cai.

"That's very possible, but it's still better to be safe than sorry."

"That makes sense…"

"When will you be returning to the Sixth Heaven?" Yan Hara then asked.

"Right after the Demon Sealing Clan's meeting."

"Alright."

A few days later, the Demon Sealing Clan started their major meeting, drawing participation from nearly all of its Demon Sealers regardless of rank or status. The topic was about Sun Ling Cai's report on the demons' plans to unseal the Demon Realm.

"During my encounter with the demons, I questioned their reason for kidnapping maidens, and it told me that they were making a 'key' to open the Demon Realm."

A tense atmosphere filled the place when Sun Ling Cai mentioned the Demon Realm.

If the Demon Realm were ever unsealed, the Nine Heavens would, without a doubt, experience another Demonic Era, and nobody there wanted such a thing to happen.

"W-We must stop that from happening at all costs! If the seal to the Demon Realm ever unseals, countless people will die!"

"That's right! We have to do something about this!"

"Isn't that obvious?"

The meeting was brief and to the point. Qian Chu issued a firm directive: the Demon Worshippers were now the highest priority. All Demon Sealers were to remain vigilant and travel the Nine Heavens while giving special attention to any cases involving kidnappings and places with high numbers of missing people.

At the end, Qian Chu also announced that he would be away from the Demon Sealing Clan for some time, but he didn't go into details or even mention why he'd be away. However, nobody there questioned him.

Yan Hara wanted to question him, but she didn't want to attract more attention to herself right now. However, she did task someone from her group to follow Qian Chu and report all of his activities to her.
