Chapter 2058 — Entering the Immortal Realm

When the Heavenly Son realized he was fighting the Faceless Sword Emperor, an excited smile appeared on his face, as this meant that he had finally reached the end of the trial.

However, he didn’t dare to underestimate his opponent, who was several times stronger than his previous opponent on the 199th floor.

That said, he was very confident that he would be able to defeat the Faceless Sword Emperor.

Moments later, they clashed, their battle sending violent tremors rippling through the surrounding space without pause. Had they been fighting within the Nine Heavens, their clash would surely have brought unimaginable devastation.

Meanwhile, Yuan and the Great One’s battle raged on with undiminished ferocity. Their clash had endured for so long that Dragon Spiral Mountain had been worn down to an unrecognizable shape. It no longer resembled a towering mountain, but a mere hill.

Over these past several years, Yuan had been constantly exposed to Celestial Qi. Though it wasn’t potent enough to kill him, it inflicted just enough pain to deepen his understanding of its nature.

However, he was still nowhere near learning it. That was just how difficult it was to learn Celestial Qi.

"Dragon’s Gaze!"

The Great One suddenly used Dragon’s Gaze for the first time.

Yet, it didn’t even make Yuan flinch, as his Soul Strength was simply too overwhelming.

In response, the Great One used Dragon’s Gaze again, but it was somewhat different this time.

"Dragon’s Authority!"

This Dragon’s Gaze was several times stronger, and it was something only a few dragons in the world could use.

The Great One’s Dragon Authority was strong enough to shake Yuan’s soul slightly, but that was all it could do.

"I guess it’s about time we put an end to this farce," said Yuan.

For the first year, he had been slightly behind the Great One in terms of prowess, but as his soul continued to merge with his body, Yuan’s strength climbed steadily. Now, he was the one pushing the Great One back.

Ding!

The moment Yuan received the notification, he felt as if an invisible chain had been lifted from his body, leaving him feeling incomparably lighter.

"What?!"

The Great One exclaimed in shock when Yuan’s aura suddenly exploded.

Then, like a volcano, Yuan’s cultivation erupted.

In the blink of an eye, Yuan’s cultivation soared to the peak of Bronze Immortal, on the verge of Silver Immortal.

After finally stepping into the Immortal Realm, Yuan’s Immortal Qi underwent a profound surge in both depth and potency, and it was at least several times stronger than before.

Yuan unleashed a relentless onslaught against the Great One, wielding all of his most formidable techniques.

Already struggling to hold his ground, the Great One suddenly found himself utterly unable to retaliate, crushed beneath the sheer force of Yuan’s overwhelming power.

"Just stand there and accept your defeat!" Yuan shouted, using the Immortal Monarch’s authority.

The Great One’s movement froze at his command, even if it was just for a split second. However, a split second was more than enough for Yuan to land his attack.

As the God of War’s Final Execution grew more devastating with each strike, relentlessly building in power until its target was utterly annihilated, the Great One managed to withstand a total of seventy-two blows before he could no longer defend himself.

After several years of relentless battle, Yuan finally defeated the Great One, marking this as the longest time he had ever spent within a single trial of the Stairway to Heaven.

"You’ve won this time... but I will never give up on Yeyou..." The Great One’s voice echoed faintly as his form faded into the thin air.

A glowing orb of light appeared before him, and as Yuan absorbed it, fragments of his lost memories began to return.

However, that wasn’t all he received from clearing the trial.

Tian’er appeared before him with a wooden box, offering it to him.

"This is..."

When Yuan opened the box and saw the object resting inside, he raised his eyebrows, wondering why he had been given it. However, he didn’t question it and figured that it would come in handy one day.

At the same time, the Heavenly Son’s battle with the Faceless Sword Emperor reached its conclusion.

"Damn it! I was so close to defeating him!" Tian Yuexing cursed aloud, moments after being teleported out of the Endless Pagoda upon his loss to the Faceless Sword Emperor.

Had he faced the Faceless Sword Emperor from the very start, he would have surely won. But after climbing 199 floors, exhaustion took its toll, leading him to make a fatal mistake at the very end.

Fortunately, since he had surpassed the threshold needed to complete the Sword Emperor Qualifications, he still earned the title of Sword Emperor.

When Tian Yuexing exited the trial and returned to the platform, the first thing he did was look at the ranking.

"N-Nine hundred points?! That means he cleared all 200 floors!" Tian Yuexing was in disbelief.

He turned to Senior Bai and demanded, "Where is he?!"

"If you’re asking about Yuan, he finished quite some time ago, and he’s already gone," Senior Bai replied calmly.

"Some time ago...?" Tian Yuexing frowned.

Senior Bai nodded and continued, "He finished the trial in a little over two weeks."

Upon hearing this shocking revelation, Tian Yuexing’s expression went blank, as if he couldn’t quite comprehend what he had just heard.
