Chapter 2061 — Hell Molten Eel

The cultivators trembled at Feng Yuxiang’s threatening pressure, but before any of them could respond, Yuan spoke in a calm voice, "Relax, Feng Feng. There’s no need to spill blood over something like this."

Feng Yuxiang immediately retrieved her aura and fell silent, but she continued staring at them, especially the Golden Immortal who spoke first.

Yuan continued, "I’m sure you all want to resolve this without unnecessary deaths, right?"

They silently nodded their heads.

"In that case, why don’t we start by explaining your situation?" Yuan said.

The Golden Immortals exchanged uneasy glances, clearly reluctant to reveal their true purpose.

Seeing this, Feng Yuxiang let out a cold sneer and said, "They’re probably here to seize some natural treasure—this place is perfect for birthing treasures rich in yang energy, after all."

The Golden Immortals flinched slightly at her words, their reactions speaking louder than any words could.

"A treasure, huh? If you’re worried that I’ll fight you over it, rest assured—I have no interest in it," Yuan said calmly a moment later. "However, I’d like to know when you’ll be done with your business and on your way."

After a moment of silence, one of the Golden Immortals answered without revealing any details, "We should be out of your territory within a month."

Yuan nodded and said, "Then we’ll wait for you to finish your business."

He turned and returned to the flying treasure with Feng Yuxiang shortly after.

Though he had left, his presence still lingered like an invisible weight, forcing the cultivators to remain on high alert.

"What sort of treasure do you think they’re trying to acquire?" Yuan asked out of curiosity.

"Well, the most common treasures found in the Infernal Gorge are minerals for forging artifacts and rare yang element herbs that can only grow in extreme environments like this," Feng Yuxiang explained.

"But for so many people to gather here—and given that we’re right above the Flowing Molten Serpent—the treasure is likely the Hell Molten Eel, a rare creature that only appears once every few thousand years," she continued.

Directly beneath them lay a massive river of flowing magma that resembled a serpent from afar, hence why it was known as the Flowing Molten Serpent. Though it might seem far too extreme to sustain life, there were actually magical beasts born and thriving within its fiery depths. The Hell Molten Eel was one such creature.

"What’s so special about this creature?" Yuan asked.

"Well, consuming its meat can drastically enhance one’s fire resistance and improve one’s yang qi. Beyond that, its skin and heart are prized ingredients for various pills and are highly sought after by alchemists."

"I see... but why are they all just waiting there?"

"They probably lack the fire resistance to enter the Flowing Molten Serpent to capture the Hell Molten Eel. The creature surfaces once a month, so they might be waiting for that chance."

A few days later, Yuan sensed new presences approaching in the distance, prompting him to pause his cultivation.

The moment the newcomers arrived, they immediately demanded that those already present leave at once. Naturally, their demand was refused, and not long after, a battle erupted.

As for Yuan, he simply observed the chaos from a distance, intending to stay uninvolved. However, the newcomers, unaware of who he was, foolishly targeted him as well in the heat of battle.

Seeing this, Feng Yuxiang said, "Young Master, please leave this to me. There’s no need for you to lift a finger for these weaklings."

Yuan nodded.

In the next instant, Feng Yuxiang leapt from the flying treasure, intercepting the seven Silver Immortals who had charged toward them.

"How dare you weaklings raise your weapons against the Young Master?! Do you even know who you’re dealing with?!" Feng Yuxiang shouted as she unleashed her flames, instantly trapping them in a massive sphere of fire.

"Phoenix flames?!" The Silver Immortals recoiled in shock, stunned by the true identity of their opponent.

"For your crime, you shall be punished with death!" Feng Yuxiang declared, making a squeezing motion with her hand. Instantly, the sphere of flames began to contract, shrinking rapidly around her helpless prey.

"W-Wait! We were wrong!" the Immortals cried out, begging for their lives as their skin began to blister and burn away under the relentless flames.

"Of course you were in the wrong. Why else would you be dying?" Feng Yuxiang said coldly, shaking her head as she ignored their desperate pleas and mercilessly reduced them to ashes.

"I never knew she could be this scary..." Yu Ning commented after seeing Feng Yuxiang’s brutal side for the first time.

Meanwhile, the cultivators fighting nearby witnessed this scene and trembled in fear. Those who had chosen to ignore Yuan and Feng Yuxiang let out a sigh of relief, grateful they hadn’t provoked them earlier. As for the newcomers, they stood frozen in shock at the sight of a phoenix—a rare and mighty mythical being that many of them were encountering for the first time.

Feng Yuxiang then proclaimed in a clear, commanding voice, "I don’t care if you fight among yourselves, but if you dare disturb us, I’ll kill you without a second thought!"

Soon, the newcomers, unaware that Yuan had no interest in the Hell Molten Eel, quickly chose to retreat once they realized they were facing a phoenix at the True Immortal Realm.

However, that was far from the end of the commotion, as more and more cultivators continued to arrive, drawn by rumors of the Hell Molten Eel’s appearance, each ready to fight for a share of the prize.

Those who had arrived first refrained from fighting among themselves, as they had already agreed to share the treasure peacefully.

As for the newcomers, they would all attack Yuan’s flying treasure, only to be met with Feng Yuxiang’s wrath.

Despite the chaos, Yuan chose to remain at the Infernal Gorge, knowing that things would quiet down once the treasure was claimed, giving him the chance to absorb the Primordial Phoenix’s Blood Essence in peace.
