Chapter 2069 — Immortal Monarch’s Blessing

"Please! I beg of you! Burn me with the True Primordial Fire!" The Grand Elder continued to beg when Yuan didn’t respond the first time.

"..."

"If I do that, you could die—your physical body, that is," Yuan shook his head.

"I don’t care! I am willing to take that risk!" The Grand Elder immediately responded without any pause.

Yuan turned to look at Feng Zhenyan, who was still lying on the ground, her body twitching slightly. If not for the euphoric expression on her face, Yuan might have been genuinely concerned for her well-being.

"Please! The fire! I am freezing to death here!"The Grand Elder continued to beg.

After a brief moment of silence, Yuan decided to grant the Grand Elder’s wish. After all, it would only work in his favor, helping him bring the Rising Phoenix Clan to his side.

Without uttering a word, Yuan used True Primordial Fire on the Grand Elder for a second time.

"YES! THE LIGHT! IT’S BACK!" the Grand Elder exclaimed joyfully, his voice filled with delight as he reveled in the embrace of the invisible flames.

Moments later, the Grand Elder suddenly sat down cross-legged on the ground and closed his eyes, slipping into cultivation.

Feng Zhenyan snapped out of her daze a few hours after the Grand Elder entered cultivation and said, "It seems the Grand Elder has gained enlightenment. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We’ll definitely compensate you for it."

Yuan calmly shook his head and said, "It’s fine."

"Would you like to wait at our residence? We’ll prepare our finest guest house for you," Feng Zhenyan offered quickly.

Yuan glanced at the Grand Elder and shook his head. "We’ll return at a later date."

"That’s..." Feng Zhenyan began, not wanting to let them leave so easily, but she couldn’t think of any way to keep them there.

"There’s no need."

The Grand Elder suddenly opened his eyes.

"You’re done already?" Yuan raised an eyebrow.

He stood up and bowed to Yuan, "Thank you, Esteemed Guest, for granting me a moment of enlightenment. As brief as it may be, I have gained a lot of insight. Now, let’s talk about your reason for coming to the Rising Phoenix Clan, shall we?"

Yuan nodded and said, "Then I will get straight to the point. I am here to recruit the Rising Phoenix Clan."

"Recruit... us?" The Grand Elder lifted his head, surprise written all over his face.

Given their status as one of the Royal Phoenix Clans, Yuan’s offer could have easily been seen as brazen and arrogant—an outright claim that he stood above the Rising Phoenix Clan itself. But as a Primordial Phoenix, Yuan had every right to make such an offer.

Yuan continued calmly, "If you agree to serve me, I will elevate your bloodline and your standing within the Royal Phoenix Clan to a far greater height."

The Grand Elder trembled at the thought of their bloodline being strengthened. Knowing Yuan was a Primordial Phoenix, he had no doubt about his capability. After all, the Primordial Phoenix wasn’t just the most ancient bloodline—it also possessed the power to elevate the bloodlines of other phoenixes.

"If you doubt my capabilities or sincerity, I’m willing to give you a demonstration," Yuan said, shocking them all. "Bring me one of your phoenixes, and I will strengthen their bloodline."

"Are you really willing to do that for us?!" The Grand Elder asked.

Yuan silently nodded.

The Grand Elder immediately turned to look at Feng Zhenyan and commanded, "Bring Feng Haoyu here immediately!"

"Yes!"

Some time later, Feng Zhenyan returned with another figure at her side—a handsome young man with long red hair and striking crimson eyes. He carried himself with a certain quiet charm and a scholar-like demeanor.

Feng Yuxiang immediately recognized the handsome young man—he was the eldest and most talented genius of the Rising Phoenix Clan, the very one they had once tried to pair her with.

Once they arrived, the Grand Elder introduced, "This is Feng Haoyu, the pride of our Rising Phoenix Clan."

"This junior greets Senior Primordial Phoenix," Feng Haoyu said, bowing deeply. Having been briefed by Feng Zhenyan, he knew what was about to take place and showed Yuan the utmost respect.

He then bowed to Feng Yuxiang and said, "It’s good to see you again, Junior Sister."

Naturally, he didn’t forget Feng Yuxiang.

"Do you know why you were summoned?" Yuan asked him.

"I had been briefed."

"Then I will proceed to strengthen your bloodline now."

"W-Wait. What about the preparations?" the Grand Elder suddenly interjected.

He had expected some elaborate ritual—after all, enhancing a bloodline was no simple feat and was usually an extremely complex and time-consuming process.

"Don’t treat him like an ordinary phoenix," Feng Yuxiang said with a faint smile. "My Young Master isn’t bound by common sense."

"Well, are you ready?" Yuan asked Feng Haoyu.

Feng Haoyu knelt on one knee and said firmly, "I am prepared."

Yuan gave a silent nod, then raised a finger and, a moment later, lightly touched it to Haoyu’s forehead.

After consuming the Primordial Phoenix’s Blood Essence, Yuan had gained a new technique through his Immortal Monarch’s Bloodline—one that allowed him to bestow power and strengthen the bloodlines of beasts.

Feng Haoyu suddenly felt a surge of power flow from Yuan’s fingertips into him, flooding his body with strength unlike anything he had ever felt before.

The change was so profound that even the Grand Elder could immediately sense that something was different about Feng Haoyu.

"How do you feel?" Yuan asked, withdrawing his finger.

Feng Haoyu rose to his feet and clenched his fists, a look of awe on his face. "I’ve never felt better. This overwhelming energy coursing through my body... I was only expecting a slight improvement, so this has far surpassed my expectations."

Yuan turned to look at the Grand Elder and continued, "You’re more than welcome to test his bloodline."
