Chapter 2197 — Chapter 2197 Location of the Spirit Tree

Hearing the man's offer, Yuan couldn't help but smile.

"I see. So you're going to attack the Asura Clan. How many people do you already have with you?" he asked.

The man then said, "We have the majority of the top factions on our side. The Asura Clan might be powerful—undoubtedly the most powerful in the Primordial Realm—but if we all work together, not even they will be able to stop us."

"You sound very confident. Have you fought the Asura Clan before?"

"Nobody has seriously fought the Asura Clan in ages. However, they are not omnipotent. Moreover, they have fewer than ten people in their faction, while we have over ten thousand experts. There's no way we will lose to them."

"..."

After a moment of silence, Yuan asked, "When do you plan to attack the Asura Clan?"

"We're already fully prepared, so we can attack whenever. Right now, we're just waiting for an opportunity to launch our attack."

"In other words, it might happen a week or a hundred years from now," Yuan shook his head. "Unfortunately, I am short on time."

"Why are you in such a hurry?"

Yuan pondered for a brief moment before responding, "Because I am hunted by the Chaotic Sect, and the longer I am away from my family, the more dangerous things get for me."

"What? Why is the Chaotic Sect hunting you?" The man frowned at this news.

Yuan gave a brief explanation of his situation with the Chaotic Sect.

"Those arrogant bastards are always trying to take advantage of others! It's because of this behavior that we decided not to include them in our plan, as people like them are likely to backstab us."

"But you don't need to worry. As long as you join us, not even the Chaotic Sect will be able to touch you."

"If you say that, it'll be hard for me to refuse," Yuan said with a smile.

After a moment of silence, he continued, "Alright, I'll join your cause. However, can you still tell me the location of the Spirit Tree? I won't approach the Asura Clan alone. I just want to have peace of mind knowing where I can find them."

"Even if you know the location, you won't be able to enter it without the Asura Clan or the Inferno Alchemist's assistance."

"What's the Inferno Alchemist have to do with this?" Yuan raised an eyebrow.

"Well, the Spirit Tree exists in its own dimension, and it can only be accessed by the Asura Clan or the head of the Inferno Alchemists."

"What's their relationship with the Asura Clan?"

The man stared at Yuan with a baffled expression. "You… you truly know nothing of this world? Just how isolated has your life been until now?"

Yuan silently shrugged.

"Anyway, the Inferno Alchemists are basically the only alchemists in the Primordial Realm. But without spiritual energy, they can hardly practice their craft. That's why they struck a deal with the Asura Clan—unlimited pills for them in return for access to the Spirit Tree."

"Our lack of access to the Spirit Tree is also another reason why we cannot attack them whenever we want."

"Are the Inferno Alchemists not on our side?" Yuan questioned.

The man shook his head and said, "No, those guys only care about alchemy and money, and since they already have access, they wouldn't want to jeopardize it."

"Then how do you plan on reaching the Spirit Tree, much less attacking the Asura Clan? Do you intend on forcing the alchemists to lead you to the Spirit Tree or something?"

"You're quite insightful. That's right. We are going to force them to take us to the Spirit Tree. The Inferno Alchemists barely have a hundred members in their faction, so it won't be difficult to subdue them." Yuan found it amusing how this man was so quick to reveal their schemes to someone who was no more than a stranger.

'Does he have ulterior motives, or is he really just this… loose-lipped?' he wondered inwardly.

"So, where's the Spirit Tree located?" Yuan asked as he retrieved two spirit stones and showed them to the man.

"The entrance to the Spirit Tree is located at the Burning Tree in the Land of Inferno, but like I said, you won't be able to enter it without the Asura Clan or the Inferno Alchemists." "I know. Here are your spirit stones." Yuan casually handed him the spirit stones.

"Take this."

In exchange, the man handed him a token and continued, "This will not only serve as an identification but also a communication device. If it activates, you must immediately head to the Spirit Tree, as that is when we will launch our attack."

"Alright." Yuan accepted the token.

The man left shortly after, while Yuan returned to his room to wait for the auction payout.

A week passed in the blink of an eye, and during this time, several more individuals approached Yuan for his offer.

In case the man lied about the location of the Spirit Tree, Yuan acted like the offer was still available to confirm the location.

And out of the eight people that approached him, three of them mentioned the Burning Tree, while the other five all gave him different locations.

"The Burning Tree, huh? Just wait a little longer, Xiao Hua. You're almost home."

After a whole week had passed, Yuan returned to the Chaos Auction House for the payout.

"So, do you have my money, or do I have to make a trip to the Chaotic Sect?"

Chen Cheng quickly responded, "Rest assured, esteemed guest, you will receive your payment. Regardless of your situation with the Chaotic Sect, we cannot steal your money or treasures at the auction house, or nobody would dare to trust us again."

"Please, follow me. Your money is stored in another room."

Yuan nodded and followed Chen Cheng to a different room, where over a dozen large chests were gathered.

"The money is all here. You can count them if you'd like."

With a sweep of his divine sense, Yuan verified that the chests held all the money. But amidst the coins, something unusual stood out.

A few of them had a subtle and unique aura hidden within them.

"Thanks." Yuan pretended not to notice it and tossed all of the money into his spatial ring.
