Chapter 2231 — Chapter 2231 Outside the Primordial Realm

"What is going on out here? Why are we suddenly in the middle of a battlefield?" Xiao Chen questioned with a dumbfounded look on his face after coming out of the Primordial Realm, the excitement on his face quickly replaced by confusion.

"Their armor… They're the Celestial Emperor's lapdogs, the Heaven's Mandate!" Xiao Meilin's eyes flickered with killing intent after seeing their familiar-looking armor.

Despite being in the Primordial Realm for tens of millions of years, she'd never forget the Heaven's Mandate.

"My lord—Yuan, what is the situation?" Xiao Cangming asked him.

"According to Dong Ye, there was a surprise inspection, which alerted the Celestial Emperor of our activity," he gave a brief explanation.

Xiao Cangming narrowed his eyes.

"So, can we kill them all?"

Yuan pondered for a moment before responding, "Go help out Dong Ye and the Shadow Army, but be prepared to leave at any moment. Since the Celestial Emperor is aware of our activity, there's a good chance more reinforcements will appear. We're not prepared to fight the Celestial Emperor and his army right now."

Without another word, Xiao Cangming and the Asura Clan joined the battle.

Of course, Heaven's Mandate had been aware of their presence since they left the Primordial Realm. "Exiles have escaped the Primordial Realm! Kill them all!" The commander of the army shouted and commanded over a hundred God Ascension experts to deal with them.

Soon, the Asura Clan and Heaven's Mandate clashed.

"Hahaha! I never thought I would get to fight with the Celestial Emperor's dogs so soon after leaving the Primordial Realm! How refreshing!" Xiao Meilin laughed excitedly as her cultivation exploded outward.

"Be careful! That exile is at the peak of God Ascension!"

"What?! How did she reach such a level within the Primordial Realm?! I thought there was no spiritual energy in that world!"

The soldiers were both bewildered and puzzled by the Asura Clan's unexpected prowess.

Most of the soldiers there were between the third level and the fifth level of God Ascension, so they were all powerless before Xiao Meilin.

"God of War's Astral Arts!"

Despite his lack of cultivation, Xiao Cangming was still an unstoppable force on the battlefield with his martial techniques.

Yuan didn't immediately join the battle and continued speaking with Dong Ye.

"My liege, we're only staying here to fight because you were still inside the Primordial Realm. Now that you're out, we should leave this place as soon as possible," said Dong Ye.

"Not only will there be more reinforcements later, but there's a small chance the Celestial Emperor might even show up himself."

"I agree. I'll distract them while you withdraw with the Asura Clan."

"You will? How are you going to do that?"

"I have my ways. However, there are a little too many people for me to do it right now, so I'll start once we cut down their number some more."

"I understand."

"Time to warm up," Yuan mumbled to himself when he noticed several presences approaching him.

When he turned to look at them, he could see four soldiers soaring directly at him, and the strongest amongst them was only at the third level of God Ascension.

"Let me deal with them for you," Xiao Hua suddenly said.

"No, you should save your energy and focus on recovering your soul. I can handle them without breaking a sweat."

"Okay…"

Without another word, Xiao Hua entered his Dantian.

Shortly after, the soldiers arrived and surrounded Yuan.

"You're not an exile. Who the hell are you?"

The soldiers questioned him when they couldn't sense the aura of an exile on him.

"I'm the one who went inside the Primordial Realm and freed those people," Yuan calmly responded.

"A mere Immortal like you? You have no idea what you got yourself into!"

"Let's not kill him and capture him instead. We'll need to question him," one of them said.

"Good idea."

Yuan chuckled and said, "I'd like to see you try."

The very next moment, Yuan retrieved Number One Under Heaven and struck first, attacking the strongest amongst them.

Despite his sudden attack, none of the soldiers seemed concerned. If anything, they sneered in disdain.

"How foolish."

The soldier targeted by Yuan muttered as he raised his weapon to block the incoming attack.

However, Yuan's aura suddenly exploded right before he struck.

Not only did he activate True Dragon Awakening, but he also enhanced his prowess with Chaotic Essence.

Before they left the Primordial Realm and while the Asura Clan prepared for their departure, Yuan approached Xiao Cangming to see if he had any Chaos Coins for him to consume.

As the most influential and powerful family in the Primordial Realm, the Asura Clan was naturally unfathomably rich. Although most of their wealth was made up of the Inferno Alchemists' currency, they also held currencies from the other two powerhouses.

In the end, Yuan was able to acquire around a hundred billion small Chaos Coins, ten times the amount he attained from selling the spirit stone. And with that amount of Chaos Coins, he was able to advance his second cultivation to the peak of Chaotic Immortal, which was equivalent to a True Immortal who was on the verge of entering God Ascension realm. However, for Yuan, in terms of prowess, he could easily rival a third-level God Ascension cultivator if he used it to enhance his strength.

"W-What the hell is that ridiculous power?! Is he really a True Immortal?!" The soldiers cried out in shock after witnessing his overwhelming prowess.

As for the soldier targeted by Yuan, he had died in a single strike because he had underestimated Yuan and failed to block his attack.

After killing the first soldier, Yuan immediately turned his attention to the next closest one.

Seeing this, the other two soldiers quickly reacted and went to help their comrade.

However, not only were they unable to save their comrade, but they also died at the hands of Yuan in a single strike.
