Chapter 2301 — Chapter 2301 An Absurd Theory(2)

The entire room fell silent after Xie Mey revealed to them that Kulas had fallen sick literally the day after their departure. In order to properly test his theory, Kulas made it so that even if he were to fall sick after Tian Yang had left, they wouldn't tell him.

"Can we even call this a coincidence anymore?" Ren Xia sighed out loud. "Now, we need to see if Kulas recovers after your return. If he does…"

Ren Xia didn't dare to finish her sentence due to how ridiculous it would make her sound.

Tian Yang was also perplexed by the situation. Why would Kulas fall sick the moment he left the palace? Was he somehow involved with Kulas' situation?

Thus, Tian Yang and Ren Xia began living within the palace once again, patiently waiting for any changes from Kulas.

One month… three months… half a year later.

"..."

Tian Yang and Ren Xia's jaws dropped with disbelief when Kulas suddenly appeared before them with a broad smile on his face, looking as healthy as ever.

"You…" Tian Yang opened his mouth but closed it almost immediately after finding himself speechless.

"I am pretty much convinced that you're the cure to my situation," Kulas declared with a serious face. "However…"

He turned to look at Ren Xia and continued, "That said, there's also a possibility that you might be the cause instead. After all, you are always with my brother."

Since Ren Xia followed Tian Yang wherever he went, there was a chance that Ren Xia might be the one who was helping him recover.

Thus, in order to rule out any possibility, Kulas asked Tian Yang to leave the palace again. However, this time, Ren Xia had to stay behind.

Although Ren Xia despised the idea of leaving Tian Yang after spending the last several thousand years by his side, she had no choice if she wanted this testing to be over with.

Tian Yang left the palace a few days later, while Ren Xia stayed behind.

"Even if one of us might be the reason you're recovering from your phenomenon, it won't solve anything unless we figure out the core issue of it," Ren Xia said to Kulas. "It's not like we can stay by your side for the rest of our lives, after all."

Kulas sighed, "I am well aware of that. However, it's a starting point."

Kulas and Ren Xia continued their conversation, mostly with Ren Xia asking about the situation between the Giant Race and the Three Pillars of Heaven.

However, halfway into their conversation, Kulas had a mood swing and attacked Ren Xia.

"Kulas, you son of a bitch… I knew I was right to remain alert even if you looked normal."

Ren Xia cursed at him after avoiding his surprise attack.

Fortunately, Ren Xia was also at the True Immortal Realm, and she had been cautious of Kulas since Tian Yang left.

Kulas continued to attack Ren Xia while exuding immense killing intent. His family, who were always on alert and ready to act, quickly arrived to assist her. This was Ren Xia's first time seeing Kulas during one of his mood swings, and what she witnessed left her baffled.

"You call this a mere 'mood swing'?" she muttered with a dumbfounded look on her face.

Kulas's appearance had visibly shifted, his skin flushing an unnatural crimson, like an overripe tomato.

"He looks possessed!" Ren Xia remarked as she worked with Kulas' family to subdue him.

"Hey! How do we calm him down?!" she asked.

"We can't do anything but wait!" Xie Mey replied. "Once he's in this state, he will go on a rampage until he falls unconscious."

"Damn it! And how long will this last?!" "It typically lasts for a few hours, but it could last as long as several days!"

A few hours later, Kulas suddenly stopped moving, and his red complexion began to return to normal. However, Kulas didn't fall unconscious as Xie Mey had said.

"What happened? I came back as soon as I got your message." A familiar voice suddenly resounded.

Standing by the door was Tian Yang, who purposefully didn't travel too far from the Giant's Continent and immediately returned upon receiving Ren Xia's message, as she had contacted him the moment Kulas attacked.

"This crazy son of a bitch attacked me in the middle of our conversation," Ren Xia said. "And seeing how he calmed down the moment you returned, I guess we can only accept his theory as reality. For some reason, you're keeping whatever phenomenon is causing him to rampage and turn sick at bay."

Kulas, who had returned to normal, first offered his apologies to Ren Xia for attacking her before speaking to Tian Yang.

"So, as long as you stay at the palace, I won't have any mood swings."

However, Tian Yang then said, "Have you forgotten about what happened during the incident with the Three Pillars of Heaven? I was still at the palace at that time. Yet, you still had a mood swing, even killing one of them."

"That's…" Kulas shook his head. "I cannot explain that."

At that time, Tian Yang was chatting with Jing Ruye and Sun Rouxi inside his room, which wasn't far away from the throne room.

"But if you're still not convinced, I am willing to do a few more tests," he then said.

Tian Yang sighed, "There's no need. Who knows what might happen if we keep triggering your mysterious illness?"

"A phenomenon that won't trigger if you are here, huh? I have never heard of anything this bizarre before." Chao Shuying, who was also there, said out loud.

"What if he's the reason our father is sick in the first place?"

Someone there suddenly uttered.

"Which bastard dares to utter such nonsense?" Kulas was the first to respond, and he glared in the direction from which the voice came, his gaze full of anger.

If looks could kill, he would be able to massacre an entire army with his current expression.
