Chapter 2381 — Chapter 2381 Forsaken

"A fight intense enough to split an entire world? I can't even begin to imagine what kind of beings would be involved," Lev said, shaking his head. "More importantly, how could a world remain intact after being split apart? If you smash a toy into several pieces, it becomes useless."

Yuan raised an eyebrow at Lev's comment, as the thought had never really occurred to him before.

'Now that I think about it, the Divine Heavens didn't collapse after being split apart. Normally, when a star is shattered, it explodes. Could the Absolute Power have had something to do with it?' he wondered inwardly.

"What about the people living in your world? Are they all as strong as you… Or near your level?" Lev continued to ask.

"There are many people with a higher cultivation base than I out there. However, if we're talking about pure combat prowess… I wouldn't lose to Cultivation Gods… probably. They're basically equivalent to True Gods in this world."

"Huh?" Lev looked at him with a puzzled expression. "What do you mean by 'probably'? If Cultivation Gods are equivalent to True Gods, you'll definitely defeat them, as you have already killed several of them here—with relative ease, at that."

Yuan shook his head and explained, "While that may be true, I possess an overwhelming advantage against the people of this world because of my Demon Sealing Aura, a power created specifically to counter your kind. If I were fighting a fellow human cultivator, I wouldn't have such an advantage. Even so, I am fairly confident that I would still be able to defeat them."

"Demon Sealing Aura… I've heard many stories about it, but its origins still remain a mystery to me. Why would someone create such a power? Were they trying to exterminate our race or something?" Lev asked.

A stiff smile appeared on Yuan's face as he replied, "Indeed, that's exactly why that individual created such a power. He wanted to completely annihilate demons—the same demons who killed his lover and terrorized his entire world for hundreds of years. However, he later learned that the demons who terrorized his world were different from the ones that lived in this world." "The Forsaken, huh?" Lev immediately understood what Yuan meant and let out a sigh.

"They were once ordinary people. But after being 'abandoned' by the Demon God, they turn into bloodthirsty monsters. Every day, every living being in this world lives with the constant fear of becoming a Forsaken, which is especially cruel for us, who are immortal. If I could meet the Demon God, I would want to ask him why he made us this way."

Moreover, according to some of the most ancient records available, the inhabitants of the Demonic Realm had not always been demons. Some accounts even claimed that they had once all resembled humans, just like Supreme Ruler Dena and those regarded as having 'noble' bloodlines.

"The Demon God, huh?" Yuan mumbled before asking aloud, "Has anyone actually seen the Demon God before? Or any evidence that he truly exists and isn't just some imaginary being?"

Lev shook his head and replied, "While I have never seen the Demon God before, he definitely exists."

Supreme Ruler Dena then said, "The Demon God is real."

Hearing the confidence in her voice, Yuan had to ask, "You… have you seen the Demon God before? I find it hard to believe that a Supreme Ruler would never have any contact with him."

"I have never personally met the Demon God before, but I have definitely spoken to him. It happened during the ritual where I obtained my title. It was also the Demon God who granted me this power."

Supreme Ruler Dena said while pointing to her forehead, or more specifically, the 'Authority' branded into her soul.

Supreme Ruler Dena said while pointing to her forehead, or more specifically, the 'Authority' branded into her soul.

"What did you talk about?" Yuan asked, his interest piqued.

Supreme Ruler Dena pondered for a moment before replying, "It happened so long ago that I can no longer remember much of it, but most of what he said concerned my responsibilities as a Supreme Ruler and the things I was forbidden from doing."

"Such as?"

"Such as…"

Supreme Ruler Dena paused for a bit before shrugging, "I don't remember."

"What? How can you forget about something so important?" Yuan exclaimed in disbelief. "What if you accidentally do said forbidden thing?"

"I was able to remember it perfectly when I was still the Supreme Ruler. However, after being replaced, I can feel my memories of the Demon God slowly vanishing. It'll only be a matter of time before I completely forget about our conversation."

"Is that so?"

"But the Demon God is definitely real. I can guarantee you that," she insisted, thinking Yuan didn't believe her.

However, to her surprise, Yuan spoke with a calm smile, "You do not have to convince me. I never doubted the Demon God's existence. In fact, I have personally met the Demon God before."

"What?! Is that true?!"

Both Lev and Supreme Ruler Dena halted their movements and shouted at him simultaneously.

He nodded and elaborated, "It happened shortly after I left the Demonic Realm in the past, and he was the one who approached me."

"What… What did the Demon God look like?" Lev asked.

"What did you talk about?" Supreme Ruler Dena questioned.

The two of them stared at Yuan with gazes so intense it felt as though they could burn a hole through his body.

Yuan opened his mouth but delayed his words for a good moment.

Then, he said, "I… forgot."

"What?! How can you forget about something so important?!" Lev exclaimed.

Yuan shrugged. "Since I died several times before my current incarnation, I'm still in the process of recovering all of my memories, so I don't remember everything."

"No way!"

Just as they were about to voice their complaints, an overwhelming pressure suddenly descended, swallowing what felt like the entire ravine.

The instant Yuan and his group sensed it, their bodies froze stiff.

"T-This presence! It could only be that thing!" Lev exclaimed in a low voice, his body shivering in fear.

"What thing?" Yuan asked with a slight frown.

"The undisputed ruler of the Demise Ravine—the Wraith Queen of Demise!"
