Chapter 2417 — Chapter 2417 The Appearance of an Absolute God

"Hahaha! The Demon God's Formation is much stronger than I anticipated! To think it would subdue the strongest Supreme Ruler in history with such ease!" The Supreme Adviser laughed out loud with a delighted expression on his face, misunderstanding the situation.

Since Purple never had the chance to tell him about Supreme Ruler Dena being in a weakened state, he thought the Demon God's Formation was powerful enough to overwhelm her with ease.

Meanwhile, Yuan watched the whole thing without moving and with a calm expression on his face.

Perhaps the Supreme Adviser didn't see Yuan as a threat and wanted to focus all of their efforts on Supreme Ruler Dena, but the Demon God's Formation completely ignored him, so not a single sword flew at him.

"To think we worried over nothing! Or maybe her strength was exaggerated. Either way, we handled her without the Supreme Ruler's help!" the Supreme Adviser laughed merrily.

However, Yuan then spoke aloud, "I wouldn't celebrate so early if I were you."

"What?" The Supreme Adviser's laughter died as he narrowed his eyes at Supreme Ruler Dena.

Only then did he notice the swords impaled in her body were moving, slowly being drawn into her flesh.

"The Demon God's Formation… is being devoured?!" he exclaimed in disbelief.

Without hesitation, he reactivated the Demon God's Formation, resuming the assault. Before the swords could reach her, however, a crimson barrier suddenly materialized around Supreme Ruler Dena, enveloping her entire body like an egg.

When the swords struck the barrier, they sank into it without a trace, as though hurled into a bottomless sea.

Yuan watched the scene with a nostalgic smile on his face.

"This is the second time I have seen her in this state…" he mumbled.

"What the hell is going on?! What in god's name is she doing?!" The Supreme Adviser shouted at Yuan in confusion, demanding an explanation.

However, Yuan merely shrugged in silence.

Quickly realizing that Yuan wasn't going to explain the situation, the Supreme Adviser decided to continue attacking her with the Demon God's Formation.

"I refuse to believe that you can remain in that state forever! Whatever technique you're using, I bet it consumes a lot of energy!"

She nodded and explained, "I'm simply so powerful that I hardly need to use any energy to defeat anyone. Because of that, I gain far more energy than I spend. As a result, my 'core' is always full, and the excess builds up in other parts of my body. It's like drawing water from rivers that were created from an overflowing lake."

"The last time I was forced to transform was when I had to confront a certain Demon Sealer," she reminisced with a subtle smile on her face, her gaze briefly glanced at Yuan.

"T-That's ridiculous…" The Supreme Adviser trembled as an overwhelming wave of fear crashed over him.

"Now then…"

Supreme Ruler Dena slowly turned her head from left to right, her crimson gaze sweeping over the surroundings.

"Supreme Blood Arts, Crimson Storm."

In the next instant, a pair of crimson wings unfurled from her back—formed not of feathers, but of countless crimson swords resembling the Demon God's Formation. Then the sword-like feathers shot forth in every direction like a machine gun on steroids, clashing into the Demon God's Formation like an endless rain.

Although the Demon God's Formation could regenerate endlessly as long as it had energy, Supreme Ruler Dena shattered it faster than it could repair itself. In mere moments she completely annihilated the formation, forcing those supplying it with energy to cough up mouthfuls of blood.

"I've destroyed your trump card. Now what?" Supreme Ruler Dena asked calmly as the Supreme Adviser unconsciously backed away.

He caught himself and stopped retreating, then shouted angrily, "So what if you destroyed the Demon God's Formation?! We're far from finished!" His body began to twist and change, shedding its human semblance as he transformed into something far more demonic.

Much like how some Forsakens would transform when enraged, humanoid demons also possessed a demonic form they could assume, which would greatly enhance their prowess at the cost of consuming more energy.

Of course, the Supreme Adviser had no intention of facing Supreme Ruler Dena alone, as that would be no different from stepping into his own grave.

"Plan B!" he shouted.

In the next moment, tens of thousands of demons who'd been lying in ambush surged forth like a tidal wave, surrounding Supreme Ruler Dena on all sides.

These demons were all True Gods who served directly under the current Supreme Ruler, including members of both the Special Execution Squad and the Elite Execution Squad.

But they weren't the only reinforcements. Soon, another presence descended—a lone demon whose aura eclipsed everyone else's.

An Absolute God had appeared.

Yuan focused all of his attention on the Absolute God, wondering if the Supreme Ruler had finally chosen to reveal himself.

"We greet the Supreme Ancestor!" The Supreme Adviser and the demons greeted the Absolute God.

"Supreme Ancestor?" Yuan raised an eyebrow.

"That's the title given to someone who used to be a Supreme Ruler," Supreme Ruler Dena explained. "He's probably the 13th generation Supreme Ruler."
