Chapter 305 — Rapid Improvement

Since it was the center of the earlier battlefield, no one in the Heavenly Sword Sect dared to approach the forbidden area, afraid of alerting the intruder.

Therefore, when Liora left the mountain’s interior and reappeared in the wooden hut, no one was there to see it.

Similarly, besides her, no one was there to see the gruesome scene within the mountain, which went completely against common sense.

"I heard in the city earlier that several villages near the Heavenly Sword Sect were destroyed just recently."

"People originally claimed that it was the result of a gang fighting, but now it seems that they were wrong. These people ended up here."

Though she investigated the entire mountain, Liora still found no clue about why the Heavenly Sword Sect slaughtered these people.

However, she didn’t believe that their actions would be meaningless.

"Did the sect obtain an evil Warrior technique that requires the death of many people? Or did these Masters go insane and thirst for blood?"

Liora had trouble making sense of the situation. Ultimately, she pushed this matter aside for now, preparing to deal with the battle’s aftermath first.

Pulling the wooden chair on the side, she took her seat and summoned the System Panel.

Not much time had passed since the last time she saw it, so not many changes had occurred.

However, what Liora mainly looked at was the increase in her Evolution Points.

With the death of several Masters, her points had once again soared to almost two hundred thousand.

"It’s better to be weak..."

"If I killed these people while I was a True Devil, I would have probably gotten less than one thousand points. Now, I obtained so many points this easily.", Liora sighed, knowing that this was a unique advantage of weakening oneself.

Still, she wasn’t planning to suppress her strength and "farm" Evolution Points.

Unlike what everything suggested, this was a medium-level world. Sooner or later, she was bound to meet people stronger than her.

At that point, only her own strength would allow her to survive.

Thinking of this, Liora didn’t hesitate.

Her mind moved as her eyes focused on the Blood Blade Technique and clicked the button beside it.

Then, she watched as the Evolution Points rapidly decreased.

Information instantly poured into her mind. Her understanding of the Blood Blade Technique quickly deepened, while its overall power was enhanced even further.

At the same time, the Qi and Blood within her body underwent massive changes, almost doubling in quantity.

Similarly, her demonic energy also received many benefits. As if supported by her Warrior realm, her Devil strength also began to increase.

Just like the previous time, the transformation did not last for long. Only a couple of minutes later, everything was over.

However, Liora did not stop there.

Her attention shifted to the System Panel, and after she had confirmed that only twenty thousand points had been consumed, she clicked on the (+) button once again.

This time, thirty thousand Evolution Points were used before the familiar transformation began to take place.

--

Panic continued to spread among the disciples of the Heavenly Sword Sect.

In such a chaotic environment, no one would have ever guessed that a person was rapidly improving their strength at the mountain’s peak.

Information continuously poured into Liora’s mind regarding the Blood Blade Technique, which had by now become complicated enough to trouble her.

She closed her eyes and concentrated, doing her best to digest the overflowing information.

A tiny crimson light shone at the middle of her forehead as she did so.

The light gradually grew bigger until it emerged completely and flew out, stopping in the air and floating right before Liora’s face.

It was a saber.

Crimson in color and dripping with blood, it looked somewhat unreal, part illusory and part substantial.

It trembled faintly and resonated with Liora’s thoughts, as her consciousness began to spread without her control.

When she arrived at the Heavenly Sword Sect, her consciousness could only spread for about one kilometer.

But now, in such a short amount of time, this had increased to more than three kilometers and was growing even further.

Only when Liora opened her eyes and the saber retreated, merging back with her, did the enhancement in her consciousness cease, stopping at exactly four kilometers.

However, Liora’s mind was not on this.

Instead, she recalled the previous state she had unknowingly entered, and couldn’t help but subconsciously mutter an unfamiliar term:

"Manifestation. The ability to turn the illusory into real and use it to fight..."

"Is this the ability that only Grandmasters possess?"

Since Grandmasters were legendary existences only existing in fairytales, Liora did not have a deep understanding of this realm.

However, as the System improved the Blood Blade Technique, she got some precious information. This included information regarding the saber that had previously appeared.

Just as she was planning to digest it fully and dig into its secrets, though, Liora’s eyes narrowed.

Because of her earlier breakthrough, she had yet to bring her consciousness back.

Therefore, as it spread further, away from the mountain and into the surrounding lands, she soon noticed a fierce battle taking place not far away.

If that were all, Liora wouldn’t care. Unless Grandmasters fought and revealed their secrets, she would not pay much attention.

However, though she could sense that the colliding parties were not Grandmasters, they still piqued Liora’s interest.

She could feel that neither of the two warring parties used Qi and Blood. Instead, they used a different type of energy of seemingly higher origin, just like her own demonic energy.

This made it apparent: they were not Warriors. Just like Liora initially thought, there were other, perhaps stronger power systems in this world.

Realizing it, Liora did not dare to hesitate, afraid that she would miss the chance.

Without surveying the changes brought by her transformation, she hurriedly exited the wooden hut and soared into the sky, flying at a high speed towards the ongoing battle.
