Chapter 721 — Human Emperor’s Rebirth

Although the devouring process of the Information World had only taken a couple of minutes and Anna’s death occurred soon after, many changes had happened during this otherwise short period of time.

In the core of the Cosmic Universe, everyone’s expressions had changed.

Not long after Liora stepped into the Information World, the World Origin permeating this void began to be frantically consumed.

It wasn’t absorbed. Rather, it seemed to have disappeared into thin air.

The one who had the most intense reaction to this was none other than the Will of the Cosmic Universe.

The World Origin was the energy that sustained its existence and gave it the strength to contend with its opponents.

It was similar to the demonic energy of Devils and the Cosmic Energy of Awakeners.

Seeing large amounts of it being consumed, the Will was truly heartbroken.

Worst of all, it couldn’t sense where that World Origin had gone. It was as though an invisible thief had stepped into this place and was stealing the World Origin right under its watch.

The Wills of Worlds seldom showed any emotions. They mostly operated according to predetermined rules.

But now, the Will of the Cosmic Universe was furious!

The one to suffer under its wrath was none other than the Hollow Ancestor.

In the past, the Will had merely urged its power to wrestle for control over the Cosmic Universe.

As for the Hollow Ancestor? It hadn’t cared to target him.

Now, however, it had launched a full-scale attack against him.

Golden threads fired out endlessly, battling against the Hollow Ancestor, continuously pushing the concept of Hollowness back.

The Hollow Ancestor immediately groaned.

He was already at a disadvantage in their confrontation since Liora’s appearance. Now, things had gotten even worse.

Yet he didn’t show any panic.

With blood still trickling down his lips, he raised his head and looked at the other person in this void—Liora.

Although the Will of the Cosmic Universe had failed to realize it, the Hollow Ancestor knew that she was most likely the culprit behind the sudden change.

He was one of the people who knew her the best. Having once possessed the bloodline of a World Devourer, it made sense that she could silently devour World Origin.

His eyes flashed upon that realization.

His gaze pierced through her body and landed on the figure of the "Human Emperor," and he seemed to have made a decision.

A profound light briefly flashed in his eyes.

No one noticed it. Neither the Will nor the "Human Emperor."

The former because fury had long occupied its mind.

The latter because he was currently engaged in a battle of wills.

"Give up! As long as you lend me your body, I’ll be willing to revive you after regaining my strength..." a tempting voice echoed in Liora’s mind.

"You should have already sensed the strength of this world. As long as someone successfully refines it, they will be virtually omnipotent within its boundaries."

"At that point, reviving you will be simple. You pose no threat to me. I have no reason to take precautions against you."

The "Human Emperor" continued trying to convince Liora to give up her struggle and let him occupy her body.

In fact, he was telling the truth.

Refining the Cosmic Universe would allow anyone to reach the level of a Prince of the Demon World.

At that point, reviving someone who died within this world’s boundaries would indeed be simple.

The "Human Emperor’s" offer was tempting.

Faced with the corruption from what seemed to be an invincible being and the promise of a way out, most people would have already given up.

Liora, though, didn’t.

She didn’t respond.

She continuously battled against the "Human Emperor," making his possession slower and slower.

Despite her struggle, however, her features in the outside world rapidly alternated.

Even with her intense resistance, the outcome had long been decided.

Under normal circumstances, the "Human Emperor" would have been filled with joy.

But at that moment, he seemed to sense something.

First, the sudden disappearance of the World Origin.

Then, the destruction of the Information World and the death of Anna.

As the "tree" that had been planted long ago, the "Human Emperor" clearly had a way to sense its state.

Sensing that his "fruit" had been reaped by someone else, he grew furious.

He knew he had been tricked!

"How dare you?! I already gave you a chance to survive!"

"Do you think you can suppress me just because you refined the Information World? You think too highly of yourself!"

He paused briefly, his eyes flashing with a fierce light.

"I originally didn’t want to do this unless necessary. But since you’re unwilling to give up and even dare to struggle..."

The "Human Emperor" did not finish his words.

The next moment, the Human Emperor Technique in Liora’s body began to circulate on its own once more.

This time, it didn’t absorb the faith of the countless humans in the Human Federation.

Instead, it "lit" it on fire, burning it as though it were a consumable.

The "Human Emperor’s" power soared as a result.

Already capable of defeating Liora’s will, he could now suppress her with ease.

"I originally did not want to do this. Burning faith like this will mean that I will be weaker after I’m reborn."

"However, since you’re determined to resist, I can only suppress you first."

"It doesn’t matter. With so much faith and the status of the Human Emperor, regaining my strength will be easy..."

The "Human Emperor’s" voice echoed in Liora’s ears.

But by now, she could hardly listen to him.

In the battle of wills, she had lost!

Her mind grew dizzy and her vision dark. The consciousness of the Human Emperor Clone looked ready to be wiped out and replaced.

In the outside world, her appearance was no longer constantly changing. It had settled into that of the "Human Emperor", carrying his majesty and indifference.

Even the way she looked at her surroundings changed.

No! The person occupying this body was no longer Liora.

The "Human Emperor" had used her body to revive!
