Chapter 1117 — Book 2: Chapter 314: I'll do it (1)
10 min read ·
The tarnished former hero Gisk. He handed Choi Han the sword and stepped to the side.
They could see the cracker door he had been covering.
“You came to destroy the thing in here, right?”
He asked Cale.
“Is the thing inside here dangerous?”
Cale answered the question.
“Yeah. It’s dangerous.”
“How dangerous?”
The Heinous Dark Bear had said the following.
‘Furthermore, the mass that can destroy eighty percent of Aipotu, that explosion device, is there as well!’
It said that a dangerous item that could completely scorch Aipotu was already activated.
But it was not just one world that was in danger.
“I'm sure Neo will end up in danger as well.”
The reference point inside…
If they could destroy the seal that was currently making Aipotu beneficial to Neo…
The world would arrive at a new conjuncture.
Gisk heard Cale’s answer and nodded his head.
“I see. It will put Neo in danger as well-”
Smile.
The moment a smile appeared on his face…
Baaaaang!
The cracker door was split in perfect halves.
Screeech- boom.
The top of the door that was kicked by Gisk…
The top part of the halves fell to the ground.
It allowed them to see inside.
The bottom part of the door was still dangling.
“As expected of the hero-nim-!”
The bear subconsciously cheered before covering its mouth in shock.
Gisk brushed off the crumbs now on his foot and leg.
Just one kick had split the cracker door…
Even though it looked like numerous magic circles were drawn around it and seemed to have quite the strong defense…
Gisk didn’t care and pointed inside.
"Alright, head on inside.”
A bright smile was on Gisk’s face.
“I am the guard. Opening and closing the door is up to me.”
“…….”
Cale was silent. His face stiffened.
“H, human!”
Raon stuttered in shock.
“What is that in there?’
“Hmm?”
Gisk looked confused.
“What is it?”
He looked toward the door he destroyed.
The moment he saw the inside of a regular house…
“!”
He saw Cale Henituse quickly move past him.
“Huh?”
Choi Han moved quickly as well.
He moved after Cale but he was faster.
“Uhh, uhh?”
Gisk's eyes opened wide.
Cale paid him no attention and the moment he looked at Choi Han who had moved past him.
Boom!
He pushed the dangling bottom door hard.
He then reached it.
He raised his head.
“…Choi Han.”
“Cale-nim.”
Choi Han was picking up the piece of the door Gisk had kicked off and putting it back together.
Cale nodded his head toward him.
“Amazing.”
“It was nothing, Cale-nim.”
Gisk opened his mouth.
“What is going on?”
As he asked in a flustered tone, Raon shouted after seeing that the door was closed.
“I saw Neo!”
“What?”
Gisk became shocked but Raon was even more shocked.
“T, that was definitely purple eyes! I know it is Neo! I don’t know Neo's face but the eyes were definitely purple!”
“I saw purple eyes too, nya!”
“…I'm sure I saw a room, nya! It looked like a castle, nya!”
Hong and On tensely commented as well.
“Huh?”
“?”
Cale saw Gisk and the bear looking confused and asked.
“You couldn’t see anything inside?”
“I could not.”
Gisk answered immediately and Cale sighed.
It was a sigh of relief.
He had been quite surprised as well.
“…We saw a portal inside the door.”
Yes. He was sure that it was a portal.
The temporary portal connecting the Central Plains to Aipotu… He saw something that looked almost exactly the same as that portal in the Black Castle within this cracker house.
“You guys saw it too, right?”
Choi Han and the children averaging ten-years-old nodded their heads.
“A portal… This game and Neo's world are connected?”
“That seems to be the case.”
Cale answered Gisk’s question and started to organize his thoughts.
‘I thought that Neo’s Lair, that basement, was the portal connected to the game.’
They had entered the game as soon as they walked through the basement door.
That was why it was a naturally connected portal, so well intertwined that they didn't even know they were walking through one.
But there was another portal here?
‘But this is different.’
This portal seemed to be built differently from the one they used to enter this game.
“Human, that portal looked unstable!”
That was right.
The temporary portal started from the ground and made a long oval shaped dimension in the air.
Cale had seen Neo through that dimension.
‘But I couldn't get a good look at it.’
Similar to the water fluctuating in a lake… He could faintly make out the scene on the other side of the portal.
‘This one is different from the temporary portal in the Black Castle and the one in the Dragon Lord's Lair’s basement.’
The unstable nature of it was clearly visible.
It seemed weaker than the temporary portal.
“We shouldn’t have been caught, right?”
Cale nodded his head at Choi Han.
“Yeah. He didn't see us.”
The man with the purple hair…
That bastard had his head turned away at first.
Cale and Choi Han closed the door right away after seeing the back of his head, and they had all seen those purple eyes right before the door closed.
Neo.
He was certain it was that bastard.
“Wait.”
Cale motioned for everybody to be quiet and asked Choi Han to do something.
“Raise it a tiny bit.”
“You want to see inside, Cale-nim?”
“Yeah.”
The upper portion of the now two-pieced cracker door moved up slightly.
Just ever so slightly.
Only big enough for Cale to look inside.
“!”
He made eye contact with the Dragon Lord.
‘No.’
That was not it.
The Dragon Lord was simply looking into the portal.
Cale just happened to look into his eyes.
The Dragon Lord was still observing something inside the portal.
“Huuuuu.”
Cale subconsciously let out a sigh of relief.
‘What is he trying to do?’
Dragon Lord Neo. Cale recorded the Dragon Lord’s face and silently observed him.
‘Mm.’
He then saw the Dragon Lord temporarily turn away from the portal.
‘Is that the Dragon Lord’s room?’
The Dragon Lord's lair…
Neo was not there.
That meant that the room he was in right now was the castle where the enemies were fighting against the Black Castle.
It should be Neo's room in that castle.
‘How desolate.’
The only furniture in there was one chair.
That chair was a common wooden chair as well.
However, the space looked extremely big. It resembled a Grand Pavilion.
Neo was sitting there by himself.
‘Yeah. Nobody is there.’
He didn't see any other signs of life on the other side of the temporary portal.
He couldn't see it clearly because of the fluctuating barrier, but it was enough to tell that much.
‘He has no interest in this side.’
Neo completely turned away from the portal.
Swish swish.
Cale motioned to Raon with his hand.
“Me?”
Raon whispered and Cale motioned even faster.
Raon quickly moved to Cale’s side.
He hung on Cale’s back and placed his head on Cale's shoulder to look into the small gap.
“It’s a portal, right?”
“That’s right.”
Raon and Cale whispered.
On walked up to them and commented.
“I don’t think there’s a need to be so quiet, nya.”
Cale flinched.
On didn't care and calmly continued to speak.
“Gisk made a lot of noise earlier destroying the door but the lord in there didn't even look in our direction. I think sound cannot be transferred through that portal.”
“Our noona is smart, nya!”
“That's right!”
Raon was amazed while Cale responded.
“Ahem. You are right.”
He then looked inside again as if everything was fine.
“…….”
His gaze then sank.
On and Hong came over as well to look through the gap with Raon.
The inside of the cracker house was not dark.
“Human, the inside is full of mana!”
The house was full of a purple light.
“Also, isn’t that the foundation of this world?”
There was a radiant five-colored light as well.
The Dragon Lord's mana and the foundation of this world were intertwined inside this house.
“…Human.”
Raon’s voice slowly started to sink.
“This seems serious.”
Yes.
Cale could feel that too.
The portal was not the issue.
The portal at the center of the house…
The numerous rays of light surrounding the portal…
The rays of light were slowly starting to intertwine and cause friction.
“I don't think they were like this to start.”
Raon did his best to speak calmly but his voice was shaking.
“Human, did the Dragon Lord consume the foundation of this world?”
“…I don’t know.”
“I'm sure the Dragon Lord must have swiped the most amount of the foundation of this world. Did he use it somewhere?”
“…….”
“I think he used it all here.”
The problem was not just these two presences.
“Human, that magic circle is a problem too.”
“…What is that machine?”
A magic circle and a machine…
There was a large magic circle underneath the temporary portal and the rays of lights.
The shape was quite odd.
“I don’t really know either. That is not a magic circle to activate mana.”
Cale listened to Raon as he looked away from the magic circle and focused on the machine.
“That looks like a cannon.”
On was right about the machine resembling a cannon.
However, it wasn’t one that used gunpowder-
‘It looks like something like a laser will shoot out.’
Cale looked at the top of the machine.
Wiiiiiiiiiiiiing.
The sound of the machine moving echoed around.
He didn't know who made that magic circle…
Or who made this machine, but…
“Human, do you see that glass bottle on top?”
“Yeah.”
The glass bottle was connected to a part that looked like it might shoot out laser.
A crystal-like jewel floated inside it.
‘For some reason, that-’
He could tell even without being told based on his senses.
‘That looks like the reference point.’
The sealed device… It was that item itself.
Furthermore, he had a feeling about what the explosive device was as well.
Clang. Clang.
The liquid started to fill inside the glass bottle the more the machine ran.
“Human, it’s grey!”
Grey.
This liquid made him think of the God of Chaos.
That liquid was slowly starting to fill.
‘He was looking at that.’
Cale realized that Neo had been checking on how much liquid had filled inside the bottle.
“…It’s almost full.”
The liquid was almost full.
Approximately 85 percent of it was full.
“Human, I'm sure that the power sent by that machine will explode with the mana and foundation of this world around it! I'm sure that the plan is to take the impact through the portal into Aipotu!”
Raon shouted confidently.
“So let’s destroy that!”
After finishing his shout, Raon shook his head.
“No. Nevermind! Too dangerous!”
Mana and the foundation of this world…
Hypothesizing that Raon and Cale each dealt with one to push forward…
It felt like they shouldn’t touch that machine without knowing what to do.
Neo was the type who would make the machine explode as soon as someone touched it.
‘What do I do?’
As Raon’s eyes filled with concern…
“!”
Raon’s eyes opened wide.
Neo.
He could see it.
He could see it in that way again.
“I, it’s magic!”
Neo was using his magic.
He was doing so with the time stopped.
Mana fluctuated as he stood alone in the center of the large area.
They couldn't see what he was doing.
“Ah.”
But they could tell what the magic was doing.
Ooooooooo—
The quiet purple mana fluctuated wildly.
It then moved toward the portal.
The foundation of this world, as if reacting to it, crashed against it and moved as well.
It felt as if they were racing against each other.
“Human! The Dragon Lord used magic again! The more magic he uses, the mana inside the cracker house reacts and tries to get past the portal!”
Raon came to a conclusion.
“If that machine is a ship with bombs, that purple mana is the key to the ship! As for the foundation of this world, that is the second round of bombs to explode after the first!”
