Chapter 1123 — Book 2: Chapter 320: I'll do it (7)

“Emperor.”
“…….”
“No.
A ruler?”
“…Is the answer important?”
The Heavenly Demon laughed as he looked down at his hand.
The hand holding the sword was slightly shaking.
However, he could not look down at his hand for a long time.
His gaze automatically headed toward Cale Henituse.
‘This guy, what the hell is he?’
The world was flipping over.
The sky was roaring, it suddenly rained and then the sun came up before lightning and thunder rushed in.
The ground moved up and down before it cracked.
Even he might get swept up in the natural disasters and get seriously hurt if he didn’t pay attention.
‘The World Tree and the foundation of this world will not pay any attention to this area.’
It was exactly as they had been told.
Both the enemies and their allies did not pay any attention to the situation and charged at each other.
But now-
‘What is this?’
It was silent.
No, the world was still loud.
However, both enemies and allies alike were just standing there.
Silently.
‘No.’
They were unable to make any noise because they were scared.
They all just stood there.
Oooooo– oooooo–
The aura surrounding the Heavenly Demon remained the same.
This dark red aura…
Recognizing that he was the heaven and the apex of the Demon way, accepting that path as the one he had walked and the only way for him to push forward…
That was when the Heavenly Demon became able to handle this aura.
‘That’s probably why I can look at this.’
Furthermore…
‘The power is not focused on us.’
The Dragon Lord…
The Heavenly Demon could feel that the aura was focused on that bastard.
The aura was just so strong that it overflowed and seeped out like the scent of flowers to the nearby area.
‘This is different from the past.’
He had seen Cale Henituse use his aura in the past to make enemies kneel and suffocate them.
However, he didn't feel such an aura from this guy right now.
‘Warmth.’
Yes.
It was scary but he could feel warmth.
What was the reason for that?
This warmth…
It’s as if-
‘Yeah. If there was a god that looked after us…’
If an omnipotent existence like a god showed benevolence toward the humans…
Wouldn't it feel like this aura?
“Ha.”
It was a nonsensical thought.
Cale Henituse was human.
An extremely strong human.
‘And-
He’s a good guy.
Yeah.
No matter how he tries to look stoic and cold, Kim Hae-il is a good person at heart. It's definitely that bastard.’
“I am right.”
This aura was definitely that punk’s aura.
This aura suited Cale Henituse better than the one in the past.
‘But how come I cannot see that punk’s aura?’
The aura coming out of Cale Henituse was not visible.
But he could feel it.
‘Maybe it wouldn't be scary if I could see it-’
“Ha!”
‘What was that thought just now?
Was I really scared just now?
I was scared?
I, the Heavenly Demon?’
It seemed so ridiculous but the Heavenly Demon could not easily deny it.
He heard Rasheel mumbling in disbelief by his side.
“Is, is the mana running away right now?”
Between the sky and the ground…
The roaring mana was moving away from Cale Henituse.
Anybody would think that the mana was running away.
What was this aura to cause this?
What was in it?
What was making the mana, which had been running wild without being scared of anything, run away?
“Crazy bastard.”
The Heavenly Demon could only silently agree with Rasheel.
‘I can’t explain it.’
The aura coming out of Cale Henituse could not be explained.
Domination?
Fear?
Dread?
No.
It was none of those.
However, one thing was clear.
He should not try to stand against it.
And-
“Ha!”
He was surprised at the thought forming in his mind.
He felt that he should not stand against it, but he also wanted to reach his hand out.
Because it felt so warm.
The world was flipping over and going wild, but the warmth in this unshakable strength had a way of drawing him in.
“Haaaaa.”
Rasheel let out a deep sigh.
“This isn't good.”
‘This isn't good?’
Rasheel mumbled before moving away from Cale.
‘What is going on?’
The Heavenly Demon looked confused before seeing the enemy Dragons slowly moving away from Cale or using their Dragon Fear.
The Heavenly Demon made eye contact with Rasheel.
Rasheel quietly commented. He looked extremely annoyed as he did so.
“I can’t handle it!”
Rasheel looked down at his hand.
The back of his hands were covered in goosebumps.
"This bastard wasn’t originally like this. Just what the hell is he-”
Rasheel could not finish his sentence.
Dragon Lord Neo. This should just be a portion of the aura that overflowed while Cale was focused on Neo, but…
‘…Why-
Why am I scared?
No, why does it feel so leery?’
He could feel numerous emotions toward Dragons in Cale Henituse's aura.
‘Hostility?
No.
Competitive spirit?
That’s not it either.’
Rasheel looked around at the Dragons using Dragon Fear and saw one of the 10 Dragon gods that still barely managed to stay alive.
It was the Red Dragon with the attribute of gluttony.
The bastard, who had just come back to his senses after being pummeled by Eruhaben, was shaking profusely as he looked at Cale Henituse.
“Ah.”
‘Yes. That’s it.’
He had found the answer.
The feeling Cale Henituse's aura was giving the Dragons…
That was-
“…Gluttony.”
Yes. It felt similar to gluttony.
“Ha.”
He couldn't believe it.
‘He wants to eat Dragons?’
No, it was different.
It was something a bit more slimy and dreadful than gluttony.
Boom. Boom.
Rasheel could feel his heart beating.
‘Ah.
This is how it feels.
This is how a herbivore feels in front of a predator.
This is that kind of fear.’
Rasheel didn't know the reason behind it, but he could feel that there was something fundamental in Cale Henituse’s aura that made the Dragons scared.
It was something that-
‘God.’
It was something that had an aura so strong that it made them think of the gods.
Rasheel would not be able to defeat Cale’s aura even if he used his Dragon Fear to the max.
That should be the same for the other Dragons as well.
“Hehe-”
Rasheel couldn’t help but laugh after seeing that none of the enemy Dragons could move to go save their leader, Neo.
He also realized something else as well.
Although he was a bit rude, he was actually pretty smart.
Even his rudeness was tactfully controlled.
‘Nobody else is affected as much as the Dragons.’
They were scared, but he could see that the other races were not full of fear like they were.
‘Mm.’
Rasheel's eyes clouded over.
‘The humanic ones.’
Humans and Beast people.
The way they were looking at Cale was different from how they looked at Cale when he used his aura.
They were definitely scared, but there was warmth in their gazes.
‘Warmth?’
He could also see friendliness and goodwill as well.
They were looking at Cale Henituse as if, as if-
‘Ah.’
They were looking at Cale the same way the Elves looked at the World Tree.
The humans and Beast people had such looks of reverence in their eyes.
‘What the hell?’
It made sense for the Elves to have such gazes toward the World Tree.
Their homes, their entire worlds, had started from the World Tree.
That was why he couldn't understand why the humans and Beast people were looking at Cale the same way.
‘That makes no sense.
Cale is not their home or their world.
Cale Henituse is also a fellow human.
So why are they looking at him as if they are looking at a world… As if they are looking at their hometown?
And why is it so natural that they themselves don’t even realize it?
This is different from how they worship gods.’
The Elves treated the World Tree like a god but did not consider it to be a god.
In fact, they just cherished it as a part of their life.
Even the gazes of the enemy humans of Aipotu were subconsciously full of warmth as they looked at Cale Henituse.
Rasheel realized it after seeing this.
‘This is an aura that makes Dragons feel scared but humans feel warm.’
“Ho.”
How was something like this possible?
‘This is like-’
It felt like he was looking at another guardian of the human world, or a neutral mediator.
Rasheel recalled a moment in the past when he discussed Cale's state with Mila and Eruhaben.
‘Cale's plate now contains the world.’
‘Are you saying it is its own world?’
‘Yeah.’
Why was he recalling that right now?
‘Is it because I am a Dragon?’
Dragons were the guardians of the natural world.
But the Dragons of Aipotu were trying to destroy this world.
But what if there was another existence in this natural world that was able to fight against Dragons or other figures, even gods, that tried to destroy the natural world?
If that existence was human but that human was large and strong enough that he had a whole world within him?
‘Yeah.’
If such an existence was to appear…
‘They would be like Cale Henituse.’
Rasheel couldn't even scoff anymore.
He looked around.
The enemy Dragons did not look good.
They had realized it as well.
They had realized the identity of Cale Henituse.
That an existence that would take away the unique position Dragons held as neutral mediators or guardians had appeared.
Furthermore, they knew that an existence that was strong enough to consume the Dragons, someone they did not dare to easily attack, was in the natural world.
They realized it after looking at Cale Henituse.
“… How surprising.”
Lord Sheritt was floating above the Black Castle watching everything.
‘The gods said that Cale Henituse has the qualifications to be a god.’
Sheritt chuckled while thinking about what Eruhaben wanted her advice about.
“A god my ass.”
Her hand started to move after that comment.
It was not just her.
Those who had firm beliefs despite being Dragons…
Those who happily gave their bodies to that aura for that reason…
"Cale Henituse wants to consume the Dragons?”
That was absolutely not possible.
“It must be the power of the crown.”
Eruhaben's hand moved as well.
Ssssssssss-
Mila started to move as well.
“Keeeeek, huuuuff.”
Dragon Lord Neo was breathing heavily.
– 95%.
Cale listened to the Dominating Aura’s voice as he walked closer to Neo.
"This can’t-, be-”
Cale heard what Neo was saying in between his heavy breaths.
“Ugh.”
He then saw Neo push his body back up.
– No way!
The Dominating Aura could not hide his shock.
– He can handle this much? Is he the fucking god crazy about balance?
Cale easily ignored the fuss.
“A human, dares-, to me-”
Neo's body filled with a bit more power.
His body stood up a bit straighter.
Smile.
Cale then smiled.
“!”
As Neo’s eyes opened wide while seeing the smile…
Chhhhhhh-
He heard the sound of chains coming from somewhere.
“Ugh!”
Neo's head moved to the left.
“You, you-!”
The golden chains wrapping around his wrist…
The chain connected to the shield managed to bind Neo.
“F, u, ck!”
As Neo barely managed to channel his mana to strike at the shackle…
Boom!
“Ugh!”
His head was raised up.
– Human, I hit him!
Raon sent a mana missile that struck Neo in the face.
Drip.
– His nose is bleeding!
Neo's nose started to bleed.
“Ugh, ugh.”
Chhhhh-
The golden shackles continued to bind Neo's arms and legs.
Neo stopped resisting and took a deep breath.
It could not be helped.
“Huff. Huff.”
This aura suppressing him…
‘… The God of Chaos.’
Why was he thinking about that crazy motherfucker of a god right now?
It was at that moment.
“You-”
Cale slowly asked.
"Why haven’t you been looking into my eyes?”
Flinch.
Neo's shoulders flinched.
“You’re scared, aren’t you?”
Neo bit down on his lips.
This human in front of him… Cale Henituse.
‘Be wary of a person named Cale Henituse.’
A wanderer of the Five Colors Bloods had warned him.
‘But I didn't hear about something like this.’
Cale Henituse's gaze was odd as he looked down at him.
They had been normal, but Cale Henituse’s eyes had been saying something since he started releasing this mysterious aura.
Give me your blood.
Give me your power, your heart.
Dragon Slayers.
An intense greed that could not even compare to the Dragon Slayers swept over Neo.
He felt as if he was seeing a mirage of being imprisoned in a swamp.
This power was also the one that made him think of the God of Chaos.
‘What is going on?
Who the hell is this human?’
“Haaaaaaaaa. Haaaa.”
‘I can’t look into those eyes.
Even though I am someone who is to become a god…
Despite all of the time I persisted through to get to this point…’
‘There is only one task for the patriarch of the Purple Bloods.
To keep things going.’
‘You just have to pass your time to the next generation.’
The Purple Bloods.
That time when he became the patriarch and succeeded the past generation's time…
Neo felt as if he had gained everything.
He was the greatest of all Dragons.
Maybe he could even defeat a god.
However, reality had been cruel.
‘I believe I told you to pass it on?’
His role was to pass it on.
‘The Five Colors Bloods……
I was just a damn chess piece for those motherfuckers.’
‘I already told you. Dragons cannot become gods. You will be alone even if you were to become a god. None of the gods would accept you as one of them.’
That bastard from the Five Colors Bloods… He recalled what that bastard had said.
‘It would be bad if a mere Dragon coveted a position only single-lifers could hold.’
‘The finite life of a strong individual. Just enjoy that to its fullest and pass the power on to the next generation.
That is your role.’
‘The patriarch of the Five Colors Bloods!
That bastard is also human.
Yeah. He is a living human.
Just like this Cale Henituse.’
“Haaaaaaaaa. Haaaa.”
Boom.
Neo's heart was beating.
His whole body was bound by chains now.
It had gone past his arms and legs to tie up his body as well.
“…I-”
Neo opened his mouth.
“Do you think I would be defeated like this?”
‘I have time.
I still have my time.’
It was at that moment.
“Pfft.”
Cale chuckled and looked at Neo.
No, he was looking down at the bound Neo.
“You-”
Neo did not dare to look at him.
However, he had no choice but to do so after hearing what Cale said next.
“You don’t have time.”
Boom.
Neo's heart thumped.
Cale continued to speak.
He pointed at Neo.
“Axion told me something.”
Axion, the Third Saint Dragon.
He had been Neo's trusted subordinate and his longest and closest friend.
“He had never seen you use the time attribute so much and so often.”
Cale’s dark brown eyes glowed eccentrically.
He had kept his eyes on it.
He had been paying close attention to Neo's body's weird condition.
He breathed heavily every time he used his power.
It was as if it was difficult to use it.
Neo would supposedly die if his heart was struck properly even once.
“Your body.”
What would all of that mean?
Why had Neo been holding on without using his time attribute?
“Haaaaaaaaa. Haaaa.”
What did his heavy breathing, something that Neo had not realized, mean?
Neo.
His body…
“You're already breaking down, aren’t you?”
It had started a countdown to the end.
Dragon Lord Neo.
This guy was the one without time.
His lifespan…
A law of nature that nobody could avoid was coming for him.
The answer had slowly revealed itself since the cataclysmic period, the roaring of the mana had started.
Cale looked at Neo's body, which could no longer maintain the purple mana he had been desperately keeping around him.
While the other Dragons were using their attributes or bodies as that was more efficient than using mana in this situation…
Neo had not returned to his true appearance, he had not used his body. He just held onto his mana.
He held onto it even stronger than he held onto his attribute.
Cale reached his hand out.
Shh.
Neo's hair gently fluttered in between his fingers.
“Time didn't forget about you.”
The purple hair that lost mana was turning white.
Neo's young face slowly turned wrinkled like the fatigue that was visible under his eyes.
A feeble old man was now in front of Cale.
