Chapter 1125 — Book 2: Chapter 322: What cannot be understood (2)

Instant.
Using that power, Cale could use a longer time than others.
He could move around as time slowed down.
Then his plate would break.
Furthermore, his whole body would be slashed as if he was sliced by numerous pieces of glass and start to explode.
His body was unable to handle the slowed down time.
No, it wasn’t just his body.
Cale’s brain was barely able to handle that time as well.
More accurately, it wasn’t just pain, instant was a power that placed him on the border of life and death.
Boom-!
His heart was thumping.
Cale had not used instant yet.
At least that was what he believed, but…
– Your power has grown.
As the Super Rock mentioned, Cale’s body had started to use instant at some point.
It was similar to how he naturally used his ancient powers.
– The limits of what you can use has expanded.
His heart was thumping.
Boom, Boom-
The slowed time…
No, in the stopped time…
His heart was beating.
Boom, boom-
His heart that had stopped as if he was dead…
Boom, boom, boom-
Slowly getting faster…
Until it returned to its normal speed…
Cale could feel that he was alive in this stopped time.
‘It doesn't hurt.’
His body did not hurt.
His flesh was not exploding.
He was not bleeding.
He didn't have a fever.
‘I'm totally fine right now.’
Yes.
Instant has evolved.
Cale could finally feel that to be true.
– Of course, Cale, if you start to use that power… It will naturally burden your body. And if you push that power to its limits-
The Super Rock stopped for a moment before continuing.
– I'm sure you will explode. No, your plate will break.
The moment a plate that was connected together broke again…
– Cale, she said the plate cannot be connected together a second time.
That had been Mila’s warning to Cale.
Boom, boom-
But Cale could hear his heart beating.
He ignored the Super Rock.
It could not be helped.
Boom. Boom.
The faster his heart beat, Cale could see what was happening in this time that was slowed down so much that it felt as if all time had stopped.
Slash, slash-
Another Dragon had died.
They died by Dragon Lord Neo's hands.
That Dragon had been Neo's subordinate, but he was one of the Dragons that had been annoyed at Neo's condition and wanted to betray him just now.
It was at that moment.
“Aaaaaah!”
“Holy shit, what the hell is going on-?!”
Time started to move normally again.
Cale urgently turned his head.
Thankfully, he could see that all of his people were safe.
“H, human!”
Cale extended his arms back and subconsciously squeezed Raon.
He then made eye contact.
“You-”
He made eye contact with the Bone Dragon that was quickly flying toward him.
This guy, who was flying over after flinging Choi Han off of him, looked unsightly rushed.
It probably could not be helped.
Oooooo— oooooo–
A rumbling different from the weird climate change shook the area.
It was intense.
Cale felt extreme heat.
“Hehehe!”
Neo was laughing.
He was feeling a formidable heat from this bastard.
To be more specific, the heat coming from this bastard’s heart was so hot that even Cale, who possessed the Fire of Destruction, felt that it was hot.
Cale and Neo made eye contact.
"Are you not entertained?!”
The moment Neo said that…
Cale tried to open his mouth.
“!”
But Cale could not do anything once again.
‘Again!’
Time had stopped again.
No, it had slowed down.
Neo was using his attribute with no control.
He really did not care about his life any longer.
At the same time, that fact made Cale feel scared.
However, he couldn’t just stand here doing nothing.
‘Hey, hey-’
Cale called out to someone instead of the Super Rock.
– …Yeah…….
The hesitantly answering old man's voice…
‘You explain.’
Cale’s power of regeneration. The Vitality of the Heart. Cale demanded answers from the crybaby old man.
– Your heart is getting adapted to your instant.
‘So?’
Cale was interested in something else.
‘How much can it handle?’
Boom. Boom.
His heart was beating.
Slowly returning to normal.
It was still slow, but… It was definitely returning to normal speed.
– No clue. Even I can't tell how much you can handle yet. You'll need to experience it for me to figure it out.
Cale was about to get annoyed at the crybaby for this irresponsible answer, but…
– But I can let you know before you reach your limits. Even I know that it will be bad if your plate breaks this time!
He got half the answer he wanted.
– Cale. Are you going to do it?
Boom. Boom.
He ignored the Super Rock.
He didn't even need to answer.
It could not be helped.
Slash.
Neo used his purple mana to slice off the rest of the restraints.
He then disappeared from sight.
Baaaaaang!
Cale heard something exploding.
– You can move now!
He heard the crybaby but Cale did not move.
Why?
‘I can't let him find out.’
He couldn’t let Neo know that he could move during this time.
Boom. Boom-
He could slowly start to see the world as normal.
The slowed down world that he could barely make out was getting easier for Cale to observe.
What did that mean?
‘I can match him!
I can match my time to Neo's.’
He could move the same as that bastard.
‘Of course, I still won't have much time to fight against him.’
Even if Cale’s instant had grown stronger, it was not comparable to Neo.
Cale was sure about that.
‘Because the world really did stop.’
No, time was definitely flowing.
However, it was flowing extremely slowly.
It would be accurate to say that time practically stopped.
Cale was using the speed of the drops of blood falling down from the decapitated Red Dragon to assess the flow of time.
It felt like the blood was not falling at all.
That was how slow Neo's time was flowing right now.
‘The God of Time.’
He felt like he could understand the meaning of those words now.
Cold sweat started to drip down his back.
Baaaaaang!
He heard another explosion.
‘Fuck!’
He wanted to turn his head.
He wanted to see where that sound was coming from.
What if-
‘What if it is one of my friends?’
What if this was the sound of his friends getting hurt while time was slowed?
‘Then is it really okay for me to stand here doing nothing?
Shouldn't I move right now?’
‘Fuck!’
But Cale remained still.
He didn't let it show.
It could not be helped.
“He, hehe-”
He heard Neo’s laugh.
‘!’
Neo suddenly appeared in front of Cale.
Cale stood there without even blinking.
“Hehe, as expected, this much seems too difficult?”
Neo laughed as he looked at Cale.
He then turned his gaze.
He was looking at the black Bone Dragon stopped in the air.
“Seems difficult for this guy too.”
Neo clearly remembered those who had reacted to his time.
‘As expected.’
This was why Cale could not easily move.
However, he wasn’t just powerlessly in despair right now.
‘The chance will come.’
Boom. Boom.
His heart was returning closer to normal.
Cale could feel the thoughts in his mind and everything he was looking at starting to return to normal as well.
That was why he could see it even more clearly.
“Heeh, gasp-”
He could see the heavy breathing coming out of the laughing Neo's mouth.
Furthermore, he could see that enlarged grotesque heart within his sliced open heart.
‘It is more of a heart inside a heart.’
The heart glowing purple was beating wildly.
‘Almost like it will explode.’
Anybody would be able to tell that this beating was not normal.
It was excessive.
It felt like it would explode.
Oooooo– oooooo–
Furthermore, the purple mana surrounding Neo was strong but violent.
It looked like a bomb ready to blow at any moment.
‘A Dragon overloading.’
An overloaded Dragon was basically a time bomb.
Boom, boom, boomboomboomboom!
Cale could hear Neo's heart beating.
‘Those motherfucking Five Colors Bloods.’
What had those bastards done to create this purple heart?
He had no idea how they had placed the attribute of time in this heart to pass it down for generations.
Maybe he would only be able to tell after he took care of Neo.
‘Yeah.
I need to finish this bastard.’
Drip.
Even more cold sweat dripped down his back.
It could not be helped.
‘Shit.’
Cale was trying to maintain his calm as much as possible.
‘I can’t let him find out.’
Then it would all be over.
‘Hold on and-’
Yes. Hold on and…
“Kehe, hahahaha-!”
Neo laughed manically.
‘Yes. Keep holding on.’
“Hahaha! I should have done this from the beginning! I truly feel like a god! No, I AM a god!”
Neo freely moved around this time.
He was happy.
His mouth was bleeding, his heart felt like it would explode, and the veins on his face had turned red, but…
He was happy.
“Kahahahahaha-”
Cale had a thought.
Hold on and…
Once this bastard lets down his guard…
“I'll kill you all!”
Yes. While he was excited like this and put his guard down…
“I'm sure I will die soon after this slowed down time ends! I’ll kill you all first!”
Cale flinched.
– Cale, we have no way of knowing how many Dragon hearts have been absorbed into that Dragon heart.
– If this guy overloads and reaches his end, it will cause a ginormous explosion.
– Maybe it is a good thing this guy slowed down time right now.
The Super Rock was right.
Time.
That attribute was what allowed Neo to maintain his life and do the things he wanted to do.
He wanted to kill everybody, but…
Slash.
He heard something else getting cut off.
Honestly speaking, even that sounded slow now.
‘That should mean that my body has adapted to this time that much.’
Cale's body was slowly becoming a part of this stopped world.
Fully immersing itself within it.
Boom. Boom.
His heart was beating normally.
Ooooooooo—
Neo started to cast a spell.
“Hahaha, I’ll kill you all! You will all die without even knowing that you died! You motherfuckers, I don’t need any of you!”
He lost his rationality and looked like a crazy bastard.
Cale just watched.
‘Yeah.
Once that bastard lowers his guard, at that time-
Kill-!’
Cale could not finish his thought.
Swish.
Neo suddenly turned his head.
He was suddenly looking at Cale.
‘Did we get caught?’
– Did we get caught?
Cale and the Super Rock were both anxious.
– No. Don’t get flustered!
The crybaby urgently showed.
– Your heart is thumping loudly! Your body is reacting!
‘Yes. Let’s calm down.’
Cale tried his best to hold it in.
“Hehe-”
Neo laughed and tilted his head to the side.
Shhhhhhh-
A breeze blew by.
No, as Cale mistakenly thought that…
“How interesting.”
As he heard Neo say that…
‘!’
Neo had returned right in front of Cale.
‘Holy crap!
Did he find out?’
– Did this son of a bitch hear your heart, Cale?
– There’s no way! Sob, w, what gave us away?
As the Super Rock and the old man anxiously commented…
“Pfft.”
Neo chuckled as he extended his hand.
“Child.”
His hand was not aiming for Cale.
On Cale’s back…
“You are tearing up.”
Although Raon was acting as if he was stopped…
Neo was reaching toward the young black Dragon.
“You can see this time.”
As Raon kept his eyes open wide so as to not blink, his eyes naturally filled with tears as he could not close them.
“Fuck!”
Cale made his move.
Neo flinched.
Raon was shocked as well.
“No! Human, don’t move!”
Raon knew about it.
He had been on Cale's back after all.
Cale’s beating heart…
The sweat filling up Cale's back…
He could also feel Cale’s hand, which was holding his front paw, slowly start to grasp stronger.
Because he knew all that….
‘No.’
Raon had not adjusted to it at first either.
The world had turned too slow.
However, he started to hear at some point.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Someone's beating heart.
That was the sound of Cale's heart as he stood while hiding Raon behind him.
The beating heart he could feel through the cheek on Cale’s back brought Raon's world back to the present.
Raon was able to return to normal within the stopped time.
That was why he held back.
The smart Raon knew why Cale was not moving right now.
Furthermore, he also knew that this was not the time to move.
‘Something is weird!’
He could see the slowed down time right now but the mana in this slowed world was not moving.
Maybe this was obvious.
Raon had seen all of Neo until now but he had always been a step behind.
This was because time needed to flow normally for him to react properly.
That was why Raon was so angry right now.
He was angry at himself.
“No!”
‘We were caught because of me!’
Baaaaaaaaaang!
The explosion echoed out.
Raon could not see clearly ahead of him.
Cale’s back had completely hidden Raon behind him.
“Ha!”
Neo looked down at his hand.
Crackle, crackle.
Rose gold currents were charging to swallow the purple mana.
Neo asked with a calm look on his face.
“You, what the hell are you?”
However, the crazed look in his eyes was even crazier than before.
– Cale, we don't have much time! You’ll die if you use it for a long time!
“Huuuuu. Huuuuu.”
Cale slowly breathed in and out.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
His heart was beating normally.
The crybaby sobbed as he urgently spoke.
– I'll let you know when you reach your limits! You HAVE to stop when we get there! You have to finish everything before we get there!
‘I know.’ He knew.
Cale ignored the crybaby and only looked at Neo.
“Huuuuuu.”
His body was slowly heating up.
His heart was starting to run even faster.
Yes. This was the sensation of using instant.
“Human, no!”
Raon also noticed that Cale had used that power.
That time he thought the human would really die…
That time he felt like his human would truly disappear…
Yes, it was that power.
Raon’s heart started to beat wildly.
This was not just concern, this was full fear.
That was why Raon didn't know.
If he was only capable of only seeing it before…
He was now able to speak and move.
And-
Ssss–
That the air near them, which was reacting to Raon’s intense emotions, was rumbling albeit faintly.
Raon had no idea yet.
He did not have time for that.
“Hoo hoo. How entertaining. This is perfect for the finale.”
Neo swung his arm.
Purple mana extended toward Cale like a whip.
Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-
A half-transparent shield appeared.
Cale left that shield with Raon and charged toward Neo.
Chhhhhhh–
He had the water whip in his hand.
Neo saw this and whipped his whip again.
Bang, baaaaang-!
Neo and Cale started their fight.
It started in this extremely slowed down time.
Buried beneath the explosion, none of Cale, Neo and Raon could recognize it.
Craaaaaaack.
They heard an extremely quiet sound of something cracking.
Craaaaaaack-
Black bones were starting to crack.
Craaaaaaack-
The Bone Dragon had stopped looking as unsightly as Cale had seen earlier.
That Bone Dragon's black bones were cracking.
It resembled a bird coming out of its shell.
Although the time felt like it had stopped…
It was still flowing despite being extremely slow.
Faint light was flowing out of the gaps of the cracked black bones.
