Chapter 1707 — Chapter 1707 Returning to the Eternal Phoenix Domain

"Can you bring me back to the Eternal Phoenix Domain now?" Yuan looked at the Primal Monarch.

"Eternal Phoenix Domain? How are you related to those annoying birds?" Dragon God inquired with a raised eyebrow.

"My companion is waiting for me there," he said.

"Does it have something to do with your wish?"

"Yes. I need the treasure to get rid of her curse."

"Ah. Can you bring me back to the Divine Dragon Sanctuary first? I also have a friend waiting for me there." Yuan quickly said, nearly forgetting about Yingzi.

The Dragon God nodded. While he had problems with the Eternal Phoenix Domain and Primordial Phoenix, he wasn't unreasonable enough to cause trouble for someone purely because they had connections to the phoenixes there.

Yuan returned to the Divine Dragon Sanctuary shortly after. He was teleported directly to Yingzi's location.

"Congratulations on winning the Dragon God Festival," Yingzi said to him.

"Thank you."

"Look! It's the Primal Monarch's descendant!"

The nearby beings quickly noticed him and began gathering around him.

"We're going to return now," Yuan said to Yingzi.

A rift appeared before them the next moment. Yuan and Yingzi stepped inside it, disappearing from the Divine Dragon Sanctuary. The others tried to follow, but the rift closed before anyone else could enter it.

Meanwhile, when Yuan emerged from the other side, he was already inside the Primordial Phoenix's world. The place was initially empty, but a bewildered voice resounded shortly after they appeared, "Seriously? You're just going to waltz into my personal world like that?"

The Primordial Phoenix appeared before them the next moment with a displeased expression on her face.

"Uhh… That old booger sent me here when I told him I wanted to return. I never specified where, too." Yuan immediately expressed his innocence.

However, the Primordial Phoenix was silent, and she was staring at him with a somewhat dumbfounded expression.

"You… what have you been doing for the last two years?" The Primordial Phoenix asked, as she was greatly shocked by how much stronger he'd gotten in such a short time.

'He's essentially a different person! And he reeks of dragon's scent even while in his human form!'

"A lot has happened, but I will not get into it. Here, this is what you asked for." Yuan retrieved the Sacred Chalice of Purification and showed it to her.

"Wow, you actually managed to acquire it? How did you do it?"

"Do you know of the Dragon God Festival?"

"I have heard about it. Something about the winner will have their wish granted by the Dragon God."

"Well, I won it and wished for the Sacred Chalice of Purification." He gave her a brief explanation of how he acquired the treasure.

"Is that so…"

The Primordial Phoenix wasn't familiar with the specifics of the Dragon God Festival, but she had heard of its notorious difficulty.

'I heard that almost any wish could be granted. To think he'd use such a precious opportunity just to save my daughter…'

Primordial Phoenix looked at Yuan in a different light.

She accepted the Sacred Chalice of Purification and said, "Give me a week—a month at most to remove the curse."

Yuan nodded and said, "I'll return to the Divine Dragon Sanctuary in the meantime. I still have some business left there. I'll be back after a week or so."

"Do whatever you want."

Yuan returned to the Divine Dragon Sanctuary shortly after and waited for his appointment with Long Wu Qing to arrive.

As the days passed, beings from all over the Divine Dragon Sanctuary gathered around the Endless Arena to witness Yuan's fight with Long Wu Qing.

The Dragon God even decided to broadcast it throughout the territory.

"Who do you think will win?"

"Although the human has won the Dragon God Festival, he has almost no chance to defeat the Unrivaled Tyrant in an actual fight."

"The Unrivaled Tyrant is too overpowered. There's no way she'll lose to a human."

"I don't know about that… If you watched how he dealt with Hellfire Dragon, you wouldn't say that with such confidence."

"Even a hundred Hellfire Dragons cannot compare to a single Unrivaled Tyrant."

Time passed swiftly, and the moment for Yuan and Long Wu Qing's highly anticipated match had finally arrived.

Long Wu Qing arrived in her petite human form—the one she saved Yuan in.

"Have you recovered?" Yuan asked her.

"Yes, I have made a complete recovery," she calmly nodded.

"So, any rules before we begin?" he continued.

"Since this is only a spar, I don't think we should seriously aim for each other's throat. Of course, accidents could happen, but that's different from purposefully aiming for the heart."

Yuan nodded, "I agree. I don't wish to turn this into a deathmatch."

"Next, I will lower my cultivation to match yours."

Long Wu Qing lowered her cultivation to the Perfect Chaotic Master.

"Do you have anything to add to the rules?" she asked.

Yuan pondered for a moment before speaking, "Let's set the time limit to seven days. Also, to make this more interesting, we'll each have three lives."

"How will that work?" she raised an eyebrow.

"While I won't die even if you destroy my heart, we'll still consider that as a death," he explained.

"I see. I can do that," Long Wu Qing responded confidently. In an instant, she summoned three thin barriers around her body, each one perfectly conforming to her figure, outlining her form with precision.

"Each barrier will represent one life. If you manage to destroy all three at once, I'll consider it my loss," she said.

"Whenever you're ready." Long Wu Qing said a moment later.

Yuan retrieved Number One Under Heaven.

"Ready."

The instant Yuan uttered those words, Long Wu Qing opened her mouth and released a massive Dragon's Breath that completely engulfed Yuan's figure. The output and strength of her Dragon's Breath were at least ten times stronger than the one Long Yejun released while sparring with Yuan with his suppressed cultivation.

"..."

"Guess I wasn't completely ready," Yuan said after escaping the Dragon's Breath—but not before dying once to it.
