Chapter 1711 — Chapter 1711 Feng Yuxiang's Return

"Waaaah! Young Master!" Feng Yuxiang cried her eyes out as she embraced Yuan. "I thought I'd never see you again!"

The moment her life flashed before her eyes during the heavenly tribulation was still fresh to her, almost as if it'd just happened.

Yuan patted her head and said, "I've missed you."

He continued soothing her until Feng Yuxiang finally calmed down.

"…"

The Primordial Phoenix watched them in silence. She'd also tried calming Feng Yuxiang after her revival but was unsuccessful. Feng Yuxiang only grew more confused and anxious as time passed, so the Primordial Phoenix gave up and decided to let Yuan see her. It was also a test of sorts for Yuan. She wanted to see how Feng Yuxiang reacted to his presence.

As for the results, the Primordial Phoenix wasn't just surprised. She was absolutely gobsmacked by how different Feng Yuxiang had become—at least compared to the haughty daughter in her memories.

"Young Master, does this mean I am still alive? I thought I woke up in the underworld," Feng Yuxiang said after calming down.

"Yes, you're still alive. It's going to take some time, but I'll explain the whole situation to you."

Thus, Yuan began explaining to Feng Yuxiang about the Primal Expanse and how he'd got there.

Once Feng Yuxiang understood the existence of the Primal Expanse, Yuan proceeded to explain the Nine Heavens' connection to the Primal Expanse and how some of the beasts from the Nine Heavens originated from the Primal Expanse.

Next, he spoke of the Eternal Phoenix Domain and how the Primordial Phoenix before them was her mother.

"My… mother?" Feng Yuxiang looked at the Primordial Phoenix with wide eyes. She'd always thought she came into existence naturally, so the sudden appearance of her mother came as a great shock to her.

"So you don't have your memories…? When did your last rebirth occur—when were you born?" The Primordial Phoenix asked.

"A little over a hundred thousand years ago, I suppose."

"So recently…" Primordial Phoenix sighed. Most phoenixes who have the ability to reincarnate tend to regain all of their memories after they reach a million years old when they become adults, if not immediately after their rebirth.

"Give me some of your blood," the Primordial Phoenix requested a moment later.

Feng Yuxiang turned to look at Yuan, almost as if asking for his permission or approval.

Yuan nodded with a gentle smile.

Feng Yuxiang proceeded to give several drops of her blood to the Primordial Phoenix, who immediately began examining her blood.

"Although we have lifted your curse, it still has some lingering effects due to how long it affected you. However, it should completely resolve itself soon. When that happens, you'll regain your strength, and your true bloodline will reveal itself."

"I see… thank you for removing my curse," Feng Yuxiang bowed to her respectfully. However, the Primordial Phoenix shook her head and said, "I may have removed your curse, but it was mostly with the assistance of this treasure, which was obtained by your human friend there."

"Young Master?" Feng Yuxiang looked at him with sparkling eyes.

He smiled and said, "I'll tell you about it later since it's a long story."

She nodded and then looked at the Primordial Phoenix.

"By the way, he's not a friend. He's my master, and I am his number one loyal servant."

"…"

The Primordial Phoenix's eyebrows began twitching uncontrollably after hearing such words.

"A…a servant…?" she muttered in a trembling voice, almost as if she was trying to suppress her anger.

Ultimately, she failed, and after a moment of silence, the Primordial Phoenix erupted, "Unacceptable! No child of mine will be lowered to the status of a mere servant!"

"That's not for you to decide." Feng Yuxiang rebuked.

Yuan then spoke, "Are you sure, Feng Feng? Now that your curse has been lifted, you are essentially free to go—as we had initially agreed."

"I already told you that I want to follow you even after my curse is lifted! My mind hasn't changed even in the slightest! I will follow you until the end of time!" Feng Yuxiang spoke in a stubborn voice, her face resolute.

"…" The Primordial Phoenix narrowed her eyes at Feng Yuxiang.

"Whatever. You'll definitely change your mind once you recover your memories, so it's only a matter of time anyway," she said a moment later.

Feng Yuxiang didn't respond to the Primordial Phoenix's words. Instead, she looked at Yuan and asked, "By the way, how long have I been asleep?"

"It's been about three years, I guess."

"THREE YEARS?!" Feng Yuxiang cried out loud. "Where are you currently in the Nine Heavens?"

Knowing how fast Yuan progressed, she wouldn't be surprised if he'd already reached the Seventh Heaven or above.

"We're only in the Fourth Heaven. I have spent the last three years in the Primal Expanse. While I could've left sooner—two years ago, I couldn't leave knowing you could be healed here."

"Young Master…" Feng Yuxiang began tearing up again.

"I'm so sorry! Because of my uselessness, I have become a burden and set you back three whole years! I've wasted three years of your precious life!" Yuan wiped the tears off her face and smiled, "That's nonsense. I'd spend ten years here for you, let alone three. Also, none of my time here was wasted. As a matter of fact, I think I have grown more here than I would've in the Nine Heavens."

"There are many beings here that rival the Great One and the Dragon Ancestor, who are probably only found in the Ninth Heaven, and I am still a long way from reaching them."

Three years may seem like a lot at a glance, but considering how much Yuan has grown in the Primal Expanse, he'd probably need tens, if not hundreds, of years to achieve the same results in the Nine Heavens.

"If you say so…" Feng Yuxiang nodded, feeling much better knowing she didn't hinder Yuan's growth.

"By the way, how's Xi Meili? Did anything happen to her?" she inquired a moment later.
