Chapter 1712 — Chapter 1712 Sleepy Xiao Hua

"Don't worry, nothing happened to Xi Meili. She endured her heavenly tribulation well." Yuan said.

"So I was the only one who ended up in such a pathetic state, huh…" she sighed.

"Don't put yourself down so much. Your case is special."

"By the way, I met with Bai Xutao." Yuan suddenly said.

"Y-you did? You didn't kill him, did you…?" she asked in a somewhat nervous tone.

"No, but I did punish him a little. I'll kill him later—when I visit the Heavenly White Tiger Clan."

"..."

Feng Yuxiang began pondering in silence. A moment later, she spoke, "Young Master, if it's not too much to ask, can you let me deal with Bai Xutao? I want to be the one to punish him properly."

Yuan nodded without hesitation, "If that's what you want. I won't touch him then."

"Thank you, Young Master… By the way, didn't Xiao Hua come with you to the Primal Expanse? Why is she so silent?" Feng Yuxiang suddenly asked.

"Now that you mention it…" Xiao Hua had been oddly quiet for the past two years.

"Xiao Hua, are you okay?" he asked her.

"..."

No response.

Yuan frowned at this and said, "Give me a moment to check on her."

He closed his eyes and entered his Dantian through his consciousness. Inside, he could see a small figure hugging her knees and curled up in a ball as she floated around aimlessly.

Yuan approached Xiao Hua's figure, but he didn't bother her. 'She's asleep… There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with her, but something feels off.' Yuan thought to himself.

He continued to examine her condition without waking her up. However, a few minutes later, as if she sensed his presence, Xiao Hua slowly began opening her eyes.

"Brother Yuan…?" she looked at him with a dazed face, seemingly still half-asleep.

"Xiao Hua? Are you okay?"

She gave him a slow and weak nod, "I think so… It's just that I have been feeling extremely sleepy lately… and I cannot fight it… I don't know why… I have never felt like this before…"

"Can I check your body?" Yuan asked with a worried face.

"Yes…"

Yuan gently pressed his fingers against Xiao Hua's wrist and used his spiritual energy to probe inside her body. Everything appeared healthy—she wasn't injured or ill. However, the flow of her qi was unusually slow, a condition typically seen when someone is in a weakened state, and their body is instinctively trying to conserve energy.

'Something is forcing her to conserve her qi, but what…?' Yuan was completely dumbfounded by her condition. He tried looking through the Evil God's memories since he was related to the Asura Clan. However, just like Tian Yi's life, there were bits and pieces missing.

'It doesn't seem to be hurting her now, but that could change in the future. I'll need to figure out the cause of her condition as soon as possible.'

"Xiao Hua, Feng Feng's revival was a success, so you can sleep peacefully and not worry about her." Yuan caressed her head in a gentle motion.

"Who is… worried… about that… dumb… pigeon…" Xiao Hua closed her eyes and fell asleep again.

"..."

Yuan stared at her for a few more moments before leaving her alone and returning to the outside world.

"Something's wrong with Xiao Hua," he explained the situation to Feng Yuxiang.

"What? What happened to her?" "I don't know, but she's in a state of spiritual energy conservation. Something is affecting her, but there's no telling what."

Yuan turned to look at the Primordial Phoenix and asked her, "Can you take a look at my friend?"

The Primordial Phoenix silently nodded.

"Father, I would also like to borrow your knowledge," Yuan said out loud.

"Y-your father?!" Feng Yuxiang exclaimed, as she wasn't aware of the Primal Monarch's existence yet.

"I'll explain it to you later," Yuan said.

The Primal Monarch appeared a moment later, and Feng Yuxiang was shocked by how much he resembled Yuan.

'No… it's more accurate to say he's Young Master when he was just a child!' she cried inwardly.

Yuan retrieved Xiao Hua from his Dantian and carried her in his arms as she slept soundly.

"Hm. I have never seen this condition before. I can sense a few curses on her, but they have no relationship with her condition." The Primordial Phoenix said.

"By the way, you also had those curses, but they were dispelled alongside your other curse," she looked at Feng Yuxiang and said.

"You must be talking about the Celestial Emperor's curse. They prohibit those with it to acknowledge certain information." To prevent the Nine Heavens from questioning the existence of Players from Earth, the Celestial Emperor had placed a curse on those below the Seventh Heaven.

"Huh? Now that I think about it, I never questioned it when the Young Master disappeared into thin air. Looking back, it felt like I was affected by an illusion." Feng Yuxiang said.

The Sacred Chalice of Purification not only removed the curse on Feng Yuxiang's bloodline, but it also lifted the Celestial Emperor's curse on her, allowing her to be conscious of Players as people not from their world.

'I wonder if it'll get rid of the Celestial Emperor's curse on me…' Yuan thought to himself. However, he was not in a hurry to remove the Celestial Emperor's curse, as it could attract the Celestial Emperor's attention. Moreover, the curse had almost no effect on him due to his inability to breakthrough without advancing his physique first.

Therefore, if he got rid of the Celestial Emperor's curse now, he'd only attract unwanted attention without any real benefits.

"This human girl… she's fighting with another soul. To be precise, her soul is fighting against itself." The Primal Monarch suddenly said.

"What?" Yuan looked at him with a questioning face.

The Primal Monarch continued, "Her soul…contains two separate souls within. It's almost like the Dragon God, who originally had two souls in one body. In her case, two souls inhabit a single soul and body, and they're subconsciously clashing with each other for control of the body."

"Two souls in one…?" Yuan quickly recalled the other personality Xiao Hua had revealed before.
