Chapter 1715 — Chapter 1715 The Ning Family

Although Yuan could no longer log off Cultivation Online, he quickly calmed himself down, as there were more important issues at hand.

'If the Celestial Emperor is aware of my presence, should I just remove his curse?'

He was slightly worried that the Celestial Emperor could track him through the curse. However, he didn't immediately use the Sacred Chalice of Purification because there was an even higher chance the Celestial Emperor would realize he was still inside Cultivation Online if his curse was broken.

'No… I have never heard of any curses that can be used as a tracker. However, the caster can, more often than not, feel their curse being destroyed and track it back to where it had been destroyed…'

If he destroyed the Celestial Emperor's curse, there was a good chance the Celestial Emperor would send someone to check on the location and realize he was still in Cultivation Online.

'As of this moment, I need to move without alerting the Celestial Emperor—at least until I find and activate the Dragon Spiral Mountain in the Nine Heavens and reconnect it with Earth.'

"Buy first… I need to find Meixiu and the others to let them know of my situation…"

Yuan scanned his surroundings with divine sense to better understand his location. However, he saw thousands of individuals flying toward him urgently, their faces filled with panic. In fact, tens of thousands of people in guard uniforms were already surrounding him.

"…"

Yuan wore his mask and patiently waited for them to approach him since they didn't appear to be with the Celestial Emperor, as they lacked the cultivation and atmosphere.

A few moments later, one of the guards, who appeared to be their leader, approached him. Although the guard appeared calm and fierce at a glance, his gaze was filled with worry and fear.

"I am the Royal Guard for the Ning Family, surnamed Sau. May I request for your identity?" the guard requested respectfully.

Although Yuan was unaware, his presence right now was akin to Long Wu Qing—absolutely tyrannical and overwhelming for those around him. In these people's eyes, Yuan was no different than a monster in human skin.

"Xiao. My surname is Xiao." Yuan said.

"T-then, Senior Xiao, what brought you to the Ning Family's household? Are you here for the Ning Family? Do you have an appointment with them?" Guard Sau continued to ask.

The Ning Family was one of the most influential families in the Fourth Heaven. In fact, they were essentially royalty. Yuan had invaded their private space without warning, and his earlier shouting had alerted them. However, the guards didn't dare to do anything rash because of his presence.

'While his cultivation only appears to be in the Spirit Sovereign realm, his real cultivation is definitely much higher! He must be one of the envoys from the upper heavens!' the guard swallowed nervously.

"Ning Family? Sorry, but I didn't mean to intrude. I came here by accident. Do you know where the Grand Mystic Sect is? I'll quickly be on my way."

"Ah, so you're with the Grand Mystic Sect. No wonder you're emitting such an overwhelming presence, Senior Xiao!"

The guards there sighed in relief after mistaking Yuan to be with the Grand Mystic Sect.

"My presence?" Yuan muttered.

"Young Master, your presence right now is very overwhelming—strong enough to make those guards faint if they get any closer." Feng Yuxiang revealed his situation to him.

Hearing this, Yuan looked at the guard in front of him, who appeared to be struggling to stay awake for some reason.

"Ah."'

He hastily suppressed his presence.

"I didn't mean to scare you with my presence. I apologize if I caused any trouble."

"No, it wasn't any trouble at all! We were just slightly alarmed by an unknown presence! That's all, Senior Xiao!" Guard Sau bowed.

"Anyways… about the direction of the Grand Mystic Sect…"

"The Grand Mystic Sect is located on the other side of this world. However, if you're willing to wait a few days, they will be making their way to this location." Guard Sau said.

"Hm? Why? What's happening here?"

"The Ning Family hosts a worldwide tournament every seven years to allow the younger generation to show off their talents. Most sects tend to send their most promising disciples, and the Grand Mystic Sect is one of them. Of course, this tournament is open to individuals, so even those without any affiliation may participate. In fact, we have the highest number of participants this year."

"I see," Yuan said.

He pondered inwardly, 'Meixiu and the others should still be training with Kelan at the Grand Mystic Sect, but there's a chance they might come here to participate. Waiting a few days won't hurt. I still need some time to study Shura's System, too.'

"If Senior Xiao would like, you can stay with the Ning Family in the meantime. We'll show you to our royal guest room if you allow us."

Yuan nodded, "Alright. I'll trouble you for a few days."

"It's an honor to serve you!"

Guard Sau led Yuan to their most luxurious guest room, usually reserved for the Sect Leaders of the Three Grand Sects.

"Please make yourself at home for now. We'll be contacting you again shortly after speaking with His Majesty."

Yuan nodded and waited in the room while Guard Sau notified the Ning Family of the situation.

Meanwhile, at the Grand Mystic Sect, a group of young men and women gathered in front of Kelan like a group of private soldiers.

"The Ning Family will be hosting one of the biggest tournaments in a few days, where most of the top talents in the Fourth Heaven will participate. I want all of you to participate and show me the results of your training for the last three years. Whoever wins the tournament will receive a special reward. Whoever leaves the tournament first will be punished instead." Kelan said to Meixiu and the others.

He continued, "And if nobody wins the tournament… I will subject all of you to hell! Understand?!"

"Yes!" They all responded with excitement, their eyes filled with fighting spirit.
