Chapter 1741 — Chapter 1741 The First Players to Ascend to the Seventh Heaven

"I shall wait for your response here." Qiang Qing Yun said a moment later.

"Alright." Yuan nodded.

Their conversation ended there, and Qiang Qing Yun waved goodbye as Yuan walked out of the restaurant.

When Yuan left the restaurant, Kelan immediately looked at him with a questioning gaze. He wasn't aware of Yuan's plans or his conversation with Qiang Qing Yun. However, the conversation ended a little too early for his comfort.

Despite understanding Kelan's feelings, Yuan ignored him and left. "Commander Kelan." Qiang Qing Yun's voice resounded from inside the restaurant shortly after Yuan left.

Kelan hastily entered to see Qiang Qing Yun smiling from ear to ear. This caused Kelan's eyebrows to involuntarily raise.

'Why is she so happy when he rejected her invitation?' he wondered inwardly.

"You've done an excellent job scouting such a talented individual. Although I wish to reward you, I don't want to create any misunderstandings since you belong to Celestial Overlord Xu's group."

"It's fine. And honestly, I intended for Celestial Overlord Xu to recruit him, but she refused, so there's nothing else I can do."

"You could've recruited him before I arrived. Why didn't you?" Qiang Qing Yun asked.

Kelan sneered, "And offend you, who has the second largest group in the faction? I'd rather not. There are plenty of talents out there, anyway. We can miss one or two."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that. There may be many talented individuals out there, but there are rarely any monsters like him. Even a thousand geniuses wouldn't be able to compare to him."

"You think so highly of him despite this being your first meeting with him. Why?"

Qiang Qing Yun smiled and said, "You're not the only one in the world who recognizes talent when they see it. That man… I have never seen anything like that before."

'I must get my hands on him no matter what!' she clenched her fists, her eyes filled with determination.

While Qiang Qing Yun waited for Yuan's return, she purchased and drank nearly the entire wine restaurant's stock.

Yuan pretended to contact his family when, in reality, he was spending his time at the Myriad of Techniques with the others.

"Brother!" A familiar figure greeted Yuan when he returned to the Myriad of Techniques.

"Yu Rou…" A warm smile appeared on Yuan's face after seeing his little sister.

Meixiu had revealed Yuan's situation to Yu Rou. When Yu Rou learned of this, she cried like a baby. Fortunately, there were still ways for them to meet inside Cultivation Online.

"Sorry, but I won't be able to visit you for a while." Yuan apologized to her.

"It's okay. It's not like you have a choice." Yu Rou shook her head as she embraced him.

"However, I am worried about your body."

"I should be fine. With my cultivation, I can survive with just spiritual energy alone, and my body naturally absorbs them."

"Don't worry. Yu Rou. I will check on Yuan's condition every week just to make sure his body is healthy." Wang Xiuying assured her.

"Thank you, Sister Xiuying."

A few days later, it was time for the Demon Sealing Faction to ascend. However, since Kelan was busy accompanying Qiang Qing Yun, Senior Bai went to the Fourth Heaven to escort them to the Seventh Heaven.

"Until next time, Yuan."

"Good luck, and don't slack on your training," Yuan said to them.

Before they left, Yuan revealed his plan to accept Qiang Qing Yun's invitation. Senior Bai was baffled at first, but after hearing Yuan's reasoning, he agreed with Yuan's decision.

"Acting within the Celestial Overlords without affecting Lady Xu, huh? That's a great idea. I will let her know later." Senior Bai said.

Once the Demon Sealing Members left with Senior Bai, only Yuan, and Yu Rou remained in the Myriad of Techniques.

Soon, announcements began appearing for all of the players to see.

These consecutive announcements left the entire world shocked and speechless. "W-wait a minute! I recognize their names! They belong to the Demon Sealing Faction!" Some of the players quickly noticed this detail.

"They must've found a method to ascend quickly! Does this mean we also get to ascend up to the Seventh Heaven now?"

"No… They didn't ascend through the Stairway to Heaven. Instead, they were escorted to the upper heavens by experts who already live there, just like when Thunder Emperor and Healer Wang became the first players to ascend to the Spirit Heaven after the Mystic Realm a few years ago."

"That's strange… How come Player Yuan didn't ascend with them? Surely, he wouldn't want to miss such an opportunity."

The players were quick to notice Yuan's name was missing from the announcement.

"Didn't he also refuse to ascend the last time? He's probably going to challenge the Stairway to Heaven soon."

"The sooner the better. I want to see what's in the Fifth Heaven."

Yu Rou left shortly after, returning to her own faction.

As for Yuan, he made his way back to Kelan and Qiang Qing Yun. "Wow, what a smell." Even before Yuan stepped into the restaurant, a strong aroma of wine filled the air, assaulting his nose and eyes.

"Oh, welcome back. Have you spoken with your family?" Qiang Qing Yun placed the bottle of wine in her hand on the table and gestured for him to sit down.

Yuan nodded and responded, "Yes, and they have given me permission to join the Celestial Overlords."
