Chapter 1749 — Chapter 1749 Visiting the Royal Dragon Family Again

"I remember the man who entered the Fairy Paradise a little over three years ago. However, I don't think he's the person you're looking for." Fairy Empress shook her head.

"What? Why do you say that?" Tan Songyun asked with a puzzled frown on her face.

"The man you're looking for is a human, right?" Fairy Empress asked for confirmation.

Tan Songyun nodded with raised eyebrows.

"He is…as far as I am aware."

"Then it's impossible for the man who visited the Fairy Paradise three years ago to be that man. After all, the man who visited us was a Dragon Emperor," said Fairy Empress.

"A Dragon Emperor?! Impossible!" Tan Songyun exclaimed, outright refusing to believe this information.

"He must've somehow tricked you! There's no way he's a Dragon Emperor! I am willing to bet my life on this claim! But can you describe his appearance to me, just in case?"

Fairy Empress shook her head and sighed, "Unfortunately, I don't remember. I had my memories stolen by some fugitive, so my memories of that Dragon Emperor are gone. I only remember that he had showed up at the Fairy Paradise."

"What? Why would anyone want to steal your memories? And how many memories did you lose?" Tan Songyun was baffled by this news.

"That's the strange part. That fugitive only stole memories of that Dragon Emperor, such as his appearance and our conversations. Besides that, I have all of my memories. I was even interrogated by Heaven's Mandate because of that incident." "Heaven's Mandate!? They only deal with the most dangerous and wanted fugitives in the Nine Heavens! I'm surprised you managed to survive an encounter with someone like that."

"In any case, you don't remember anything about this 'Dragon Emperor', right?"

Fairy Empress sighed, "Sorry. However, the Royal Dragon Family may know something about him since that's where he went after leaving the Fairy Paradise."

"The Royal Dragon Family…? The only Royal Dragon Family in the Fifth Heaven should be the Shen Family." Tan Songyun muttered.

"It's exactly that Shen Family." Fairy Empress confirmed.

"Okay, I will give them a visit."

"Sister Songyun, before you leave, do you think you can play a song on your zither? I have been longing to hear it again for years now." Fairy Empress suddenly asked.

"That's…" Tan Songyun wore a hesitant expression on her face.

"Sorry, but I am still reminded of him when I play the zither." Tan Songyun shook her head.

Sometime later, Tan Songyun left the Fairy Paradise to make her way toward the Shen Family.

At the same time, Yuan and Xi Meili had just arrived at the Shen Family, both of them wearing masks to hide their identity.

When the guard at the gate noticed their suspicious appearance, they were immediately told to halt.

"Stop right there and identify yourselves!"

They stopped moving, and after a moment of silence, Xi Meili unleashed her aura, causing her dragon scent to spread quickly.

"I am from the Xi Family, and I am here with my mentor, who is a Dragon Emperor! We'd need to speak with the Dragon King as soon as possible!"

"The Xi Family and the Dragon Emperor?!" The guard fell on his buttocks after hearing this.

"P-please wait a moment!"

The guard hastily rushed inside to notify the Dragon King.

"What?! The Xi Family and the Dragon Emperor?! Together?! That's impossible!" Just as the Dragon King uttered these words, an overwhelming presence suddenly enveloped the entire Shen Family, causing everyone to tremble in fear and awe.

"What an unfathomable presence! My bloodline is screaming for me to bow down! This must be the Dragon Emperor's presence!"

Realizing this, the Dragon King wasted no time rushing outside, with the rest of the Shen Family following suit.

"The Shen Family greets the Xi Family and the Dragon Emperor!" Xi Meili stepped forward and said, "My surname is Xi. Are you the Dragon King?" she asked.

"Yes! This humble one is the Fifth Heaven's Dragon King, Shen Guang Yao!" Xi Meili nodded and spoke, "We apologize for the sudden intrusion, but we have an urgent matter that requires your attention and cooperation."

"Please! You're more than welcome to intrude on us whenever you wish!" the Dragon King said, his tone with apparent reverence. "Moreover, we could never be bothered by your presence—in fact, we are humbled to be graced by such a noble presence!" He spoke as though he were nothing more than a lowly servant.

Xi Meili then said, "We would also like to apologize for not revealing our faces, as we do not wish to reveal our identity. However, we're more than willing to prove our identities if you need."

"No, that won't be necessary. We already have more than enough proof…" Dragon King's eyes shifted to Yuan as he spoke.

Even though Yuan had already withdrawn his presence, revealing it only for a split second, the Dragon King could still feel it as vividly as if it were still active and enveloping the entire place.

"Please follow me." Dragon King said to them a moment later.

As Yuan and Xi Meili followed the Dragon King inside, Yuan subconsciously glanced at a beautiful young lady in the crowd. She was Shen Shi, who had brought him out of the Fairy Paradise during his previous visit.

Shen Shi noticed Yuan's gaze, but she didn't dare to say anything and merely acknowledged him with a silent nod. Once inside the building, the Dragon King brought Yuan and Xi Meili to a private room.

"Please wait a moment for the tea—"

"It's fine." Xi Meili interrupted. "If you say so." The Dragon King closed the doors and sat across from them.

"So, what brought Lady Xi and His Majesty to the Fifth Heaven?"

"I will get straight to the point. It's about the Ancient Seal in your possession." Xi Meili said in a solemn tone.

"A-Ancient Seal?" The Dragon King's eyes widened.

"You don't need to pretend. We know it's in your possession." Xi Meili quickly said.

"N-no… I am not pretending. I was just surprised. I see… so this is about the Ancient Seal…" he muttered in a low voice.
