Chapter 1848 — Chapter 1848 Half a Year

After returning to the Hunting Grounds, Yuan wasted no time grinding magical beasts. After the Soul Refining Elixir, the prices of talent-boosting treasures in the point store no longer experienced extreme price hikes. However, they were still far from affordable, with most of them priced between one million and five million points.

The Translucent Dew of Flawlessness was a treasure that cost seven million points, but Yuan was pretty confident he'd be able to win the tournament.

'With six months before the tournament, I only have enough time to purchase two, maybe three treasures if I sell all of my monster cores…'

Before going to the Hunting Grounds, Yuan stocked up on recovery and hunger pills, which would allow him to get rid of hunger entirely. Each pill could make an adult feel full for an entire week without any issues, and some could even last a month—even a year.

Knowing that there was only half a year until the tournament, Yuan did not want to waste any time outside the Hunting Grounds. Hell, he even purchased several more spatial rings to reduce the number of trips he'd need to take to the point store to sell his materials.

As Yuan hunted magical beasts day and night, he improved his understanding of the Peerless Immortal Technique.

In the blink of an eye, an entire month has passed since Yuan entered the Hunting Grounds, and for the first time since he entered, he had to leave to empty out his spatial rings.

At the point store, Yuan placed a dozen spatial rings on the table before the young clerk, causing him to raise an eyebrow.

"I'd like to sell everything for points," Yuan said.

"Please give me a moment to confirm the contents…"

The young clerk accepted the spatial rings and inspected their contents.

A few minutes later, he said, "I can give you 320,000 points for the materials and 90,000 points for the monster cores."

"Deal."

After selling the materials, Yuan purchased some more recovery pills before heading right back to the Hunting Grounds.

Due to the upcoming tournament, Yuan noticed a lot more people were at the Hunting Grounds when he entered it. However, the majority of them were in the outer areas, and as Yuan entered deeper into the Hunting Grounds, he stopped encountering participants and would only encounter real disciples.

For the second month, Yuan earned a total of 450,000 points, bringing his total to 860,000 points.

In the third month, Yuan earned exactly half a million points, bringing his total to 1,360,000 points.

After collecting over a million points, Yuan stopped farming magical beasts to purchase a treasure and consume it.

After carefully considering all his options, Yuan decided to purchase the Refined Dragon Blood Pill—an exceedingly powerful pill infused with the blood of a true dragon.

This pill granted the consumer immense physical strength and significantly enhanced resilience, bestowing them with a body akin to that of a dragon.

Although the pill had cost him 1,250,000 points, Yuan did not regret it, especially after consuming it and immediately feeling several times more powerful than before.

"In my current condition, I should have no problem hunting even magical beasts at the Spirit Master realm,' Yuan thought to himself.

His cultivation also increased by a single level, bringing him to the sixth level of Spirit Warrior. However, even without factoring in his techniques, his raw strength alone had already reached the level of a first-level Spirit Master.

This breakthrough also allowed Yuan to push the Peerless Immortal Technique to the beginning of its second level. When used, it could amplify the prowess of its targeted technique by five times.

Once he was prepared, Yuan returned to the Hunting Grounds. Once he arrived, he went right past the outer area and even the inner regions, only stopping when he reached the deepest parts of the Hunting Grounds, where magical beasts at the Spirit Master realm roamed. The core region of the Hunting Grounds was so dangerous that most Outer Court disciples avoided it, and only Inner Court disciples would dare to traverse this land.

However, in Yuan's eyes, these magical beasts were no different than the ones roaming around the inner region, as he'd still kill most of them with a single strike.

The only issue was that he needed to use the majority of his spiritual energy to take down a single magical beast, so after every kill, he'd need to consume a spirit recovery pill.

A month later, he returned to the point store to unload his materials.

Each magical beast now earned him around a thousand to two thousand points. Although the price of materials didn't increase too much, the monster cores were an entirely different story.

A single monster core could earn him anywhere from 10,000 points to 50,000 points, depending on the rarity and quality of the monster core.

In the end, Yuan earned a grand total of 1,750,000 points. This allowed him to purchase another treasure, and he purchased the Phoenix Rising Pill, a potent treasure that increased his recovery rate, resistance to fire, and Dantian's capacity. It also cost him 1,500,000 points.

After spending three days absorbing the treasure, Yuan's cultivation reached the seventh level of Spirit Warrior.

He then wasted no time returning to the Hunting Grounds and immediately began grinding again.

In the fifth month, Yuan earned an impressive 2,000,000 points. However, he didn't purchase another treasure and decided to save it for a specific treasure he had his eyes on.

For the last month, Yuan had a little less than a month, and he'd killed so many magical beasts in the previous months that the core region of the Hunting Grounds had become void of life.

The magical beasts were simply being slain faster than they could regenerate, so Yuan was only able to earn a total of 1,300,000 million points. Fortunately, he had just enough to purchase the treasure he wanted.
