Chapter 2386 — Chapter 2386 The Essence of True Chaotic Qi

Now that he could sense True Chaotic Qi clearly, Yuan temporarily stopped absorbing the Chaotic Essence to focus on studying it.

His sudden pause caused the Queen Wraith of Demise to raise her eyebrows.

"Are you… done?" She questioned him shortly after.

"No, I am just taking a break," he calmly replied before falling into complete silence again.

Very quickly, Yuan realized that the Supreme Chaotic Dragon Core not only helped him sense True Chaotic Qi better, but it even helped with his comprehension, allowing him to study it with more ease.

It didn't take long before Yuan started to grasp the essence of the energy. Perhaps it was because of his Supreme Chaotic Dragon Core, or that he'd already mastered Celestial Qi, but he was progressing much faster than usual.

Several weeks into his training, Yuan suddenly fell into a trance-like state.

He had entered the state of Enlightenment.

'What is he doing?' The Queen Wraith of Demise could sense the atmosphere around Yuan shifting, along with his aura. However, she had never seen someone enter a state of Enlightenment before, leaving her both intrigued and puzzled.

Supreme Ruler Dena, who was watching from afar with her divine sense, also noticed this change and became somewhat worried.

Although demons could also experience Enlightenment, it was far more uncommon. Moreover, they would emit a different aura, so Supreme Ruler Dena had no idea what was happening to Yuan at this moment.

"If Celestial Qi embodies the essence of life… then the true essence of True Chaotic Qi is to consume it!"

A year into his Enlightenment, Yuan's eyes snapped open, gleaming with a profound light. The aura around him changed drastically, as though something unseen was bowing before him.

Unlike Celestial Qi, which was its own separate energy from ordinary Qi and Immortal Qi, True Chaotic Qi already existed within Chaotic Essence. However, only those who comprehend True Chaotic Qi are capable of sensing it could wield it.

After comprehending True Chaotic Qi, Yuan finally understood why ordinary cultivators couldn't use their spiritual energy normally when surrounded by Chaotic Essence. It was because the True Chaotic Qi within it was extremely sensitive to spiritual energy and would actively absorb it.

True Chaotic Qi didn't merely respond to spiritual energy; it was attracted to anything spiritual in nature. As such, entities like Nether Wraiths, which were completely spectral, became its prime targets.

Moreover, not only could it absorb energy, but it can use that energy to strengthen itself. In a way, it was similar to Yuan's physique, which can absorb all sorts of energy and turn it into his own power.

Yuan had a strong desire to test out his newfound strength, but with the Queen Wraith of Demise nearby, Yuan didn't want to make her feel threatened. Thus, he started to absorb the rest of the Chaotic Essence from the black mountain.

Even though he'd already formed five additional Chaotic Hearts, he had only absorbed about a third of the available Chaotic Essence, so he could easily create a few more.

When Yuan resumed his cultivation, he shifted his focus from the Chaotic Essence to the True Chaotic Qi within it, allowing him to absorb it at a far greater speed.

A small black vortex suddenly formed around him as he devoured the Chaotic Essence. It steadily grew larger until Yuan resembled a black hole.

Five years later—

Although it had taken him over twenty years to absorb 30 percent of the Chaotic Essence within the black mountain, it now took him only five years to absorb another 20 percent.

Suddenly, Yuan halted his cultivation and lowered his gaze, a slight frown appearing on his face as he stared at the mountain beneath him.

Perhaps the overwhelming Chaotic Essence had concealed it, but only after absorbing half of it did he finally sense a hidden presence within the black mountain.

Something had been lurking inside it all along.

The moment Yuan sensed the presence, it reacted. As if awakened, the black mountain suddenly began to tremble.

Yuan immediately got up and distanced himself from the black mountain.

"What's happening?!" Queen Wraith of Demise exclaimed with a puzzled look on her face.

"There's something hidden within that!" Yuan shouted back as he pointed at the black mountain.

"What?!"

The pitch-black mountain suddenly began to fade in color, gradually turning semi-transparent and revealing a massive silhouette within it.

The silhouette had a long, snake-like body with ten lizard-like limbs—five on each side. Most striking was its head—or rather, its heads, as there were two.

Moments later, the trembling stopped briefly before returning even stronger than before. Cracks began to spread across the mountain, making it clear that the entity within was trying to emerge.

It wasn't long before the mountain exploded and collapsed, completely revealing the entity hidden within.

The entity was a massive black lizard with a long, snake-like body and two menacing heads, each bearing a deadly gaze.

It radiated an overwhelming amount of Chaotic Essence, far surpassing what the black mountain had contained, as though the mountain had only housed a portion of its true strength.

As for its cultivation, it was clearly above the True God realm but not quite at the level of an Absolute God. However, since its cultivation was based on Chaotic Essence rather than Celestial Qi, it was far more powerful.

"What the hell is that?!" Lev cried out loud when he saw the lizard-like being.

Supreme Ruler Dena did not say a word. Instead, she flew to Yuan, despite the Chaotic Essence in that area growing stronger than before.

"Wait a—!" Lev wanted to follow, but he lacked the confidence and could only watch as she disappeared into the horizon.
