Chapter 725 — Nothingness Rift & Facing a Prince of the Demon World

Liora felt as though she had entered the Cosmic Sea within her body.

For a brief moment, she felt truly omnipotent and omniscient, as though she could control the Cosmic Universe according to her will.

In fact, her current state in this world far surpassed her state within the Cosmic Sea.

Wherever she looked, scenes from the present, past, and future would emerge and flash through her eyes.

She felt that she could control all of them with a single wave of her hand.

If she wished, she could wipe the past. If she didn’t, she could alter the future.

Princess of the Demon World!

Unless an equally powerful opponent appeared to stop them, a being at that level was truly omnipotent and omniscient.

They could alter the past and future with just a thought, without suffering any backlash from the River of Time.

Going as far as to destroy the Origin Sea before it had even existed was possible!

Although Liora was far from reaching that level in her true form, her fusion with the Cosmic Universe had given her such capabilities.

For a moment, even she lost control of herself, becoming intoxicated by the feeling of such strength.

Thankfully, she quickly snapped out of it.

Not of her own volition, but because something caught her attention.

Her eyes suddenly narrowed as she sensed something.

Without her needing to do anything, her figure disappeared and reemerged within the core of the Cosmic Universe.

Unlike the last time she came here, the core now cheered, seemingly welcoming its owner’s arrival.

Liora only glanced at it briefly and nodded her head before moving deeper into the dark void.

Soon, she had left the place where the previous battle had taken place far behind her.

The traces of the Hollow Ancestor, the "Human Emperor", and the previous Will had long since vanished.

Even the World Origin soon disappeared.

Only the bottomless darkness surrounded Liora.

...Until suddenly, a gray light flashed on the distant horizon.

Liora approached it with a calm expression.

When she drew close enough, the identity of the light was finally revealed.

It was a spatial rift.

Stretching for countless miles, it tore straight through the fabric of the Cosmic Universe, like a wound on a giant’s body.

On the other side was not the Origin Sea as one would expect.

Instead, there was a vast gray expanse.

A peculiar power permeated it, taking a material form and turning into a sea, with its droplets seeping through the rift and entering the Cosmic Universe.

Drip! Drip! Drip!

The gray power landed in the core and disappeared.

Liora immediately recognized it. She was quite familiar with it.

Nothingness!

Moreover, although she had never been there personally, she also recognized the land on the other side from her bloodline memories.

Shockingly, the universe had a rift connected directly to the Land of Nothingness!

Nothingness continuously poured in through it, devouring part of the World Origin and threatening to drive this world to extinction.

"It’s no wonder the Cosmic Universe is in such a state, and the Will of the World chose to constantly destroy and rebuild it."

"Everything is the result of this rift’s existence," Liora whispered.

Every world operated by absorbing the power of chaos and converting it into World Origin to sustain and empower itself.

Theoretically, every world could advance endlessly, eventually becoming equal to the Demon World and even surpassing the Origin Sea.

Of course, that was impossible.

Just like practitioners, worlds would also face tribulations.

And this rift was exactly that from the perspective of the Cosmic Universe.

"The Land of Nothingness is constantly eating away at the World Origin that the world absorbs from the Origin Sea. This means that the World Origin within the world is constantly decreasing."

"If it hadn’t been for the Will of the Cosmic Universe’s ruthless actions, this world would have been destroyed long ago."

Destroying Era after Era was only part of those actions. Another was preventing creatures from tearing through the world’s membrane and entering the Origin Sea.

After all, each being that left would carry away a portion of its World Origin. If it didn’t return or simply perished, the World Origin would be permanently lost.

How could the desperate Will allow that?

Countless thoughts raced through Liora’s mind. She felt that everything finally made sense.

Staring at the giant gap, her expression turned solemn.

This had once been the Will of the World’s problem and had nothing to do with her.

Now, however, it had become the problem she had to face.

"Fortunately, my freedom is far greater than that of the previous Will. That Will could at most operate according to its predetermined rules. Destroying the rift was impossible."

"I, however, don’t have that problem. The authority of the universe is merely one of my aspects."

"I am the Cosmic Universe, but the Cosmic Universe is not me."

The moment that thought took root, Liora directly took action.

Under her control, the power of the entire Cosmic Universe surged endlessly, gathering in front of her before pouring into the edges of the giant rift.

The power of Nothingness was instantly pushed back. The space along the rift began mending itself.

The gap began to close.

Slowly, but surely.

Yet just as it seemed that everything would proceed smoothly, the other side of the rift had a reaction.

The power of Nothingness flared.

An oppressive aura emerged from it.

Like a sea monster emerging from the depths of the ocean, a being slowly peeked out from within the power of Nothingness.

Most of it remained underneath the Nothingness,

Only a single eye was visible.

Yet upon facing its gray pupil, Liora’s expression turned serious.

A Prince of the Demon World!

She immediately understood that the rift had not appeared here randomly. Most likely, it had been created by this being.

Now, sensing that someone was trying to close it, it had immediately arrived here to stop them.

The unknown being sensed Liora’s presence as well.

For a moment, their gazes collided through space and time.

Then, neither spoke a single word.

A gray light shot out from the gray pupil.

Liora raised her hand and brought two fingers down.
