Chapter 1068 — Do you really think you are capable of doing that with your abilities? (1)

Cale withdrew the Dominating Aura.
Emperor Alt finally felt the warmth around him.
‘No.’
Rather than feeling the warmth, it was his body that had been suppressed by this guy’s aura and been pushed down by fear finally returning to normal function.
‘Fuck. First were the Dragons but now there is a bastard like this among the humans too?’
He did shake this red-haired man’s hand, but Emperor Alt had a different thought as soon as he was able to process things properly again.
‘At least with the Dragons above us, I was the greatest of the humans. But what if this red-haired bastard ends up as a human ruling above the Dragons? Then what will I become? Wouldn’t I have to be under him forever? Rather than that, I should inform the Dragon Lord about this bastard to earn his trust and gain control over the entire continent-’
Alt flinched in the middle of his thought.
It was because Cale was staring right at him.
Smile.
Cale smiled before speaking to Alt.
“How about we sit down?”
It was only then that Alt realized that he was still kneeling and got up.
Cale personally brushed off Alt’s clothes and even pulled out a chair for him.
Alt smiled as brightly as he had smiled while shaking Cale’s hand and sat down.
“Thanks.”
Plop.
Cale placed a hand on Alt’s shoulder. Alt flinched but his face still showed goodwill toward Cale.
‘It’s obvious.’
What a bastard like this would think and how he would act was obvious to Cale.
This bastard was someone who would move for his own benefit given the opening.
Bastards like this always put personal gain as top priority.
Cale spoke quietly to Alt while keeping his hand on Alt’s shoulder.
“I am someone who is going to leave.”
“……!”
The smile disappeared from the Emperor’s face. His eyes opened wide.
“Your Majesty, I believe someone at your level would know about the Hunters.”
Tap tap. He gently tapped on Alt’s shoulder.
It was as if he was telling Alt not to be nervous.
“The Dragons that wish to be gods… The gods have sent me to destroy them. I am not someone from this world. Once everything is over, I will return home.”
“…….”
The Emperor could not say anything as he sat there with a stiff look on his face.
Cale looked away from him and looked at King Dennis.
“Isn’t that right, your Majesty?”
“That is correct, sir.”
The Emperor finally realized that King Dennis was seated across from him.
That was how focused he had been on Cale’s words.
‘The gods, he is a guy sent by the gods and will eventually return to his own world?’
If that was true-
Alt heard Cale’s whisper-like low voice.
“Your Majesty, I believe you understand the meaning behind my words.”
Dennis looked at the Emperor as he spoke.
“A fight between humans, why don’t we do that on a new playing field?”
The Emperor slowly started speaking.
“Ha, haha-”
He couldn’t help but laugh. This was sincere laughter.
‘Will the Dragons that want to become gods be able to defeat a person sent by the gods?
Basically, the gods are this guy’s backing.
And this guy will eventually leave?
In that case-’
His mind started to calculate things.
He started thinking about a world where the Dragons were destroyed.
‘The Beast people have completely lost their powers.
Elves and Dwarves usually don’t interfere with human matters. Plus, the humans still have the numbers advantage.
And only a few are mages or sword masters.’
Those few had been having secret relationships with the Church or the Imperial Palace since the cataclysmic period.
The power of the church would decrease if the Dragons were taken down.
If the Imperial Palace dragged in those strong individuals during that time…
‘The Empire-
And I-
Will be able to rule over everything.’
His eyes filled with delight for a moment before it disappeared.
Cale looked down at the Emperor as he thought to himself.
‘It’s obvious what he is thinking.
He’s planning on taking the empty spot of the Dragons for himself.’
Unfortunately, he didn’t know if that would go well.
‘The world will return to normal.’
The people with power would maintain their power, but numerous opportunities would arise in the world again, leading those who gain them to earn new powers.
Cale looked toward Dennis.
The young King was exchanging glances with the Emperor.
‘Don’t you need someone to attend to you?’
At first, he didn’t understand what that meant.
‘I heard from the Minister of Foreign Affairs. She said that you brought around a hundred people with you. Don’t you need someone to clean or look after the castle?’
‘…Are you trying to plant a spy, your Majesty?’
‘No.’
Dennis had sternly shaken his head.
‘I will send someone to do trivial tasks and assist your mages and swordsmen.’
Cale had chuckled after understanding Dennis’ intentions. He could have gotten upset about it, but Dennis had asked in a calm yet polite manner.
‘Furthermore, we will take care of all monetary expenses necessary for your people.’
‘Are the people coming to attend to us theoretical mages, reserve swordsmen, and squires?’
‘Yes.’
Cale had told him how to contact Rosalyn and Ron.
‘I hope you make the most of this opportunity.’
‘Thank you.’
It had been about 200 years since the cataclysmic period.
It wasn’t the case for Dragons, Beast people, Elves, or Dwarves, but it had been quite a long time for the humans, with multiple generations having come and gone.
That had resulted in human magic and sword arts regressing significantly, with Dennis seeing Cale’s group as a means to overcome this issue.
‘That’s not bad.’
He wasn’t seeking power or bothering their work.
In fact, they would take care of all sorts of trivial work, taking in new knowledge while being by Cale’s people’s sides. Nobody on Cale’s side would ever scold a person for that.
‘They would actually do their best to teach these people more things.’
Cale took two steps away from the table.
‘It would be great if the Haru Kingdom got bigger.’
It was a kingdom that looked favorably upon the Beast people and had the power to fend against the Holy Empire.
They were called a destroyed nation right now, but-
‘No matter what, they still survived through the attacks by the Holy Empire, the Church, and the Dragons.’
He thought they were amazing the more he pondered it.
‘They need to be at that level to beat this Emperor.’
Of course, Cale could leave after dealing with the Empire as well.
‘Is there a need?’
However, Cale had no reason to do that much.
Taking care of the Purple Bloods…
The reorganization of the world…
That was the greatest amount of goodwill that Cale could show. This much was already amazing.
‘Mm.’
Cale had a thought like this every so often.
‘Have I become too magnanimous?’
“Tsk.”
‘I think I’m losing out too much?
This-
I need to be compensated properly.’
No matter who it was from, he needed to get enough for all of his sufferings.
‘Plus, it’s not just me. There are a hundred individuals dealing with this.
I need to get enough for them too.’
As Cale’s eyes clouded over…
– Human! What are you thinking about?! What are you destroying? I am slightly anxious right now! Why is that?
Raon instantly answered.
– Cale, let’s calm down first.
– Cale! Is it time for a sea of fire? Kahahaha!
– Are you trying to destroy a god? If it is the God of War, I want to personally fuck up that rotten son of a bitch.
The Super Rock, Cheapskate, and the Sky Eating Water reacted one after the other.
But Cale just ignored them and looked toward the two people at the table.
“Then please share the details between the two of you. I will be on my way now. I have way too many things I need to do.”
Cale walked out of the room without any hesitation. Clopeh Sekka was by his side.
‘Freedom…! Intelligence! Reconnaissance! Specialty!’
Of course, Cale naturally placed the Wind Elemental that had been following him since Ryan’s castle by the Emperor’s side.
‘The Imperial Palace! All of it! Observe!’
Swoooooooosh-
Swoooosh-
Wind blew by Cale’s side.
It was a very small gust of wind that flew all over the Imperial Palace without getting caught.
These were the low-grade Elementals moving at Freedom’s orders.
They gathered all of the information and delivered it to Cale.
Screeech, boom!
The door closed and Cale disappeared from the Emperor and King’s views.
The Emperor stared at the closed door before looking at Dennis.
He opened his mouth to speak. However, Dennis spoke first.
“There are even Dragons by Commander Cale Henituse’s side.”
Cale had given an order to Dennis. It was regarding how much to inform the Emperor.
“Let me show you everything that happened to the first and second subjugation squads.”
“Yes, I will at least listen to what you have to say.”
Once Cale disappeared, Alt looked at Dennis with a relaxed look on his face. However, Dennis’ action made Alt flinch.
He was holding a video recording device.
‘Now that I think about it…
He said that he would show me what had happened and not tell me.’
Dennis had not said anything wrong.
“Please take a look, Your Majesty.”
The video recording device in his hand….
That was an edited section of one that Clopeh Sekka had recorded with everything he had.
Dennis leaned against the back of the chair as he addressed the Emperor.
Arrogantly.
As if he was a rude little king who had a new strong backing. Only then would the opponent put down their guard.
“Your Majesty, you will be relieved to get such an opportunity and think that you were very lucky.”
He then smirked.
“Haa.”
Alt scoffed in disbelief at Dennis’ rude attitude but still played the recorded footage.
His face then stiffened.
On the other hand, the smile on his face slowly got brighter.
Dennis still watched him with an arrogant demeanor and a stiff gaze.
‘Freedom, Emperor, room, bedroom, study…! Search them all!’
Wind Elemental Freedom was quietly observing the Emperor without anybody in the room knowing about it.
* * *
Clunk.
As the carriage moved up and down a bit after getting out of the Imperial Palace, Cale opened the window toward the coachman and asked.
“The Pope said she would see us right away?”
“Yes, Cale-nim.”
Clopeh smiled gently at him.
“She said that we could come anytime we want.”
“Sounds great.”
‘We won’t have to waste time.’
“Then we should go right away.”
Cale needed to move as quickly as possible.
Ryan’s Castle.
Part of it was because of the final execution that was to take place there, but…
‘I’ll need to go visit the Black Castle once if possible as well.’
Furthermore.
‘…There’s still no word from the people who went to look for the Temple of the God of Chaos.’
The group that had gone to look for Choi Jung Gun had not said anything.
They should have arrived there quickly because they used teleportation to get there, but, for some odd reason, they had not received any contact at all.
‘I’ll need to go check it out myself if time allows.’
Cale naturally started to scowl.
Ooooooooong-
It was at that moment.
Cale’s eyes clouded over.
Ooooooooong.
He pulled out the item vibrating in his chest.
It was the mirror, the divine item from the God of Death.
There were two messages on it.
‘Is it the team leader?’
Cale urgently checked to see if it was a message from Sui Khan before his face stiffened again.
‘Mm.’
Raon asked from inside the carriage.
“Human, what is it?”
Cale gave a relaxed answer.
“It’s nothing much. It was Central Plains saying that the Dragon Lord came to see him. Apparently they are going to chat soon.”
Raon’s eyes opened wide.
“That’s important information!”
“Anyway, you’re going to need to connect a call.”
“Alright! Let’s quickly contact Central Plains! But can he even do a video chat with the Dragon Lord there?”
“No. Not him.”
“Hmm?”
“What is it?”
Raon hesitated while Cale spoke calmly.
“Call his highness.”
“Hmm?”
Raon tilted his head in confusion.
Why was Cale suddenly talking about the crown prince?
“Ah!”
Raon was shocked while Clopeh and On’s faces stiffened.
On was the one who ended up speaking.
“We want to know if something happened to Roan, nya.”
Her tone, which was full of urgency and concern, sounded the same as when she had been younger.
Cale sternly answered.
“No. There is no issue.”
However, there was indeed an issue.
As the others’ faces stiffened after seeing Cale’s stiff face…
Cale’s mouth opened.
“I’m sure that guy has gotten addicted to gaming!”
This was followed by a moment of silence.
“Hmm?”
“Hmm?”
“?”
“Meeeeeeeeeeow?”
As Raon, On, Clopeh, and Hong answered one after the other…
“Let’s chat more later. You just go toward the church.”
Cale finished talking to Clopeh and closed the window.
Now that only the children averaging ten-years-old were left with Cale… He was reading the messages from Alberu.
< Apparently the game is going through a large-scale update patch. >
< Apparently the game users can now start to form kingdoms. >
< I plan on trying as well. >
“Ha!”
< FYI, I am considered strong among the newbies, one of the Rising Newbies. I think I am going to end up in the strongest newbie competition as the representative of Roan. >
“Ha!”
He couldn’t believe it.
Alberu Crossman. That guy was planning on setting up a kingdom inside the game to become a king.
‘And what? Rising Newbies?
How addicted must he be to earn such a title?!’
Paaaaat-
The screen appeared on top of the mirror, and…
– What is it? I’m very busy right now.
Crown prince Alberu Crossman was working hard as usual.
– Scribble scribble.
Cale was at a loss for words while watching him move the pen nonstop.
– What is it? Did something happen?
Alberu’s concerned voice was the same as usual.
Raon started to speak.
“H, human! The areas under the crown prince’s eyes are so dark! His cheeks look so scrawny! I need to give the crown prince 10, no, 100 apple pies!”
‘…Haaaaa.’
Cale sighed before brushing his face with both hands. He barely managed to speak.
“Is it not difficult, your highness?”
– Scribble scribble.
Alberu, who was working hard, stopped for a moment to smile at Cale.
His eyes looked tired and his cheeks were skinny, but his face looked like that of a teenager.
– Are you talking about doing both work and the game?
“Yes, your highness. Wouldn’t it be better to do it in moderation?”
Cale spoke in a gentle tone.
Alberu shrugged his shoulders and answered.
– It’s worth trying.
Raon suddenly shouted at that moment.
“T, the crown prince looks like our human right now!”
Cale subconsciously commented at the same time.
“This is driving me nuts.”
