Chapter 1121 — Book 2: Chapter 318: I'll do it (5)

The reference point.
The moment the sealed small crystal broke…
Cale made eye contact for the first time with Neo with nothing in the way.
Craaaaaaack-
No, there had originally been something in the way.
The half-transparent black shield…
Raon's barrier…
Craaaaaaaaaack—!
– I've never seen it break so easily.
As the Super Rock mentioned, Raon's shield was extremely weak in front of Neo.
It could not be helped.
– Human, I was late!
Neo had appeared in front of Cale before Raon’s shield could be formed properly.
That was why Raon had to cast a spell that was not fully completed, making it easy for the shield to be destroyed.
– …I didn't react properly!
Raon sounded angry.
‘I guess seeing it doesn't resolve everything.’
Raon definitely saw all of Neo's movements.
Despite Neo using his time attribute, Raon had cast his spell as soon as he realized it.
But he had still been too slow.
‘That’s to be expected.’
Raon had seen it before he reacted, making it impossible to fully handle Neo who lived in a different time speed.
Flap, flap.
It was the same for the Dragon half-blood, who was creating a shadow on top of Cale.
The shadow created by the large Bone Dragon’s body…
Neo and Cale got a good look at each other underneath that shadow.
It was an instant.
In the short instant that the shield broke, without anything in their way…
Cale and Neo looked at each other less than two steps away from one another.
Cale realized it the moment Neo's tired eyes looked at him.
‘He knows who I am.
He recognized me as soon as he saw me.
He is certain.’
This confirmed something for Cale.
He now knew that his information was spread to all of the Hunters.
– Again-!
Raon tried to cast his shield again.
But he couldn't do that.
Baaaaaaaaaang—–
The sky suddenly started to cry.
“Mm!”
The Dragon half-blood looked up at the sky in shock.
The sky, which had been covered in ash-colored clouds, turned weird.
Crackle, crackle.
There were currents in between the clouds as if thunderbolts would start to strike down.
Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-
A spot a bit away from the plain started to rain.
Rumble—
The sky roared even louder.
The ash-colored sky turned red, then dark blue like the sky before dawn, then it became full with an odd feeling of chaos.
“…….”
Neo looked up at the sky before slowly looking down.
The destroyed crystal…
The moment his gaze locked on the crystal that was snapped in half…
Crack.
He saw the shoes that were stomping on the crystal fragments.
He raised his head.
“Cale Henituse.”
“Yes.”
Cale smiled and responded.
"Why are you calling my name?”
The moment Neo extended his hand…
Baaaaaang!
There was a loud explosion.
– He’s fast even without using his attribute.
The Super Rock commented.
– It’s okay.
The glutton priestess answered.
“…….”
“…….”
Cale and Neo looked at each other again with a half-transparent shield in between them.
“…….”
Neo quietly observed the shield that showed no damage at all despite being struck by his mana-covered hand and withdrew his hand.
Step, step.
He then stepped back.
He also looked around.
"Shit!”
“The cataclysmic period-!”
The ground was starting to let out an odd roar as well.
The rumbling was so strong that it sounded like an unknown animal's roar.
“…….”
Neo observed it all.
However, Cale could not attack him.
‘Mm.’
The purple mana surrounding Neo was starting to fluctuate even wilder. There was also an odd aura surrounding him.
Neo seemed to be looking around, but all of his senses were focused on Cale and the enemies.
Neo would immediately counterattack if Cale was to attack right now.
‘Mm.’
Seeing Neo like this made Cale feel an emotion he had not felt while facing enemies in the past.
‘I have a bad feeling about this.’
Yes, it was different from feeling scared or thinking that the enemy was strong.
It was an ominous feeling.
Neo's existence made Cale feel leery. He also felt discomfort.
Why was he feeling this way?
He couldn’t express this question.
‘This is troublesome.’
Beyond the emotions, he could not easily attack Neo.
Time.
That attribute truly was troublesome.
‘I barely saw it.’
Cale, the Dragon half-blood, and Raon.
The three of them could all see Neo's time, but the amount they could see was different.
What Cale could see was lacking compared to the two Dragons.
But he waited.
“Human!”
The moment Raon shouted…
Smile.
The corners of Cale’s lips curled up.
—–!
There were no sounds.
But everybody noticed the changes.
– The mana is shaking!
Yes.
Mana, which was only given to a select few since the cataclysmic period…
That power that had been suppressed started to roar.
The sky and the ground…
It didn’t stop there. The aura of the entire world started to roar.
The roaring mana…
“Haaaa.”
Neo let out a sigh. He then opened his mouth.
“Come on out.”
He was currently at the center of the castle.
He was on the terrace of his room.
His voice echoed throughout the castle.
– Human, it is the enemies!
Eruhaben, Rasheel, and Mila…
The existences that had not come out no matter how hard the three Dragons tried to provoke them…
The ten Dragon gods…
As well as the Dragons that chose to submit to the Dragon Lord…
All of them revealed themselves.
As for their numbers-
‘There’s a lot of them!’
– Human, there are more than we expected!
The number of enemies was dozens more than they had expected.
‘Were there Dragons we did not know about?’
He didn’t have to question where these Dragons came from.
"The Purple Bloods.”
The Purple Bloods.
Their former patriarch had been a Dragon as well.
Wouldn't there have been Dragons that followed that Dragon?
Those Dragons were not from Aipotu.
They were just Dragons from the Purple Bloods.
‘Why had I not thought about that?
Damn it.’
Cale scowled after looking at the Dragons.
– They look quite strong!
Each and every one of the new Dragons they saw looked strong.
The foundation of this world.
These Dragons had not consumed that, but they looked like veterans with lots of experience.
The Dragon Lord silently moved past the Dragons looking at him and looked around.
Humans, Elves, Dwarves…
He could see all sorts of races that follow him.
“They are not that useful.”
Oooooo– oooooo–
As the sky and ground roared and the mana flailed…
They were not that useful.
That was why Neo called the Dragons. He gave them an order.
“Kill them all.”
It was at that moment.
The first to step forward let out a loud explosion.
Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang—!
“Ugh!”
Someone grabbed his slashed arm and shouted.
“A human dares!”
The Dragon’s arm was dripping blood.
The one who made the explosion and slashed the Dragon’s arm off lowered his sword.
Drip. Drip.
Drops of blood flowed down the sword to the ground.
“I usually don't listen to others… But I guess I have to this time.”
The Heavenly Demon.
He smiled as he answered Neo.
“Okay. You said to kill them all, right?”
His sword gently slashed from top to bottom.
Slaaash!
The drops of blood that had turned the sword red splashed in all directions.
Baaaaang! Bang! Baaaaang!
Each of the drops of blood held internal ki and destroyed anything it touched.
The Heavenly Demon leisurely laughed as he spoke.
“Even Dragons have red blood it seems.”
“You dare!
Ugh.”
The Dragon holding his arm bit down on his lips and immediately charged toward the Heavenly Demon.
Of the ten Dragon gods…
This was the Dragon with Herculean Strength.
Baaaaaang!
There was a loud explosion where the Heavenly Demon had been standing.
Everything seemed to be shaking.
However, the Dragon with Herculean Strength was the only one standing there once the dust cloud disappeared.
“…You, you- a human-”
The Dragon's eyes opened wide.
Where was he looking?
He was looking at the Heavenly Demon, who was now standing on top of the castle’s spire.
The area around him was fluctuating.
This was not because mana was going wild nor because of his martial arts.
This dark red presence around him…
It was an aura domain. (TL: I think I'm just going to call it an aura domain to differentiate from here on.)
“Ha.”
Cale could hear Choi Han scoff in disbelief behind him.
Cale was feeling the same way.
‘He said he was just starting.’
Who would believe that this level of aura was just the start?
Of course, the Heavenly Demon's aura domain was smaller than Choi Han’s.
Maybe it wasn’t wrong for the Heavenly Demon to call his just a beginning when considering that Choi Han’s aura domain was smaller than Cale and the other Dragons’.
However-
‘What is inside it is different!’
Who cared if it was small?
This dark red presence…
‘How vicious.’
Not only was it vicious-
“How pesky.”
Yes. The Heavenly Demon's aura domain was different from Choi Han's or Cale's.
It showed signs of dominating like Cale’s, and showed sturdiness like Choi Han's to not bend in front of anyone.
However, what was stronger than both of those things was a pesky stubbornness.
No.
‘Maybe it is a firm belief?
Yeah. It is a firm belief.’
The Heavenly Demon.
He was the head of the Demon Cult.
The Demon Cult was a martial arts organization as well as a religious organization at the same time.
The Heavenly Demon was the sky for the members.
He was an existence they could always see but never reach.
The Demon Cult members all believed the Heavenly Demon to be a god.
That firm belief was visible in the Heavenly Demon’s dark red presence.
A pesky firm belief that even death could not break.
– He’s a crazy bastard.
The Super Rock scoffed in disbelief.
– That human believes himself to be the sky, to be a demonic human.
It was exactly as stated.
The Heavenly Demon's aura domain was the Heavenly Demon.
He had rejected the Peerless God of War’s martial arts in order to find his own path.
The path that he found in the end was the ‘Heavenly Demon.’
But it did not end up as the ‘Heavenly Demon’ because he is the Heavenly Demon.
‘He himself thinks his domain should be the Heavenly Demon.’
He himself had chosen the Heavenly Demon.
Who would be happiest about that?
The Heavenly Demon himself?
No.
There were others who would go crazy after seeing this aura domain.
“It’s going to turn into chaos.”
SCREEEEEEEEECH—
The Black Castle’s door opened.
The sky roared and the ground shook.
The mana fluctuated wildly.
However, Cale’s side also had people who had no relations to mana.
– Human, it is the martial artists!
The temporary portal connecting the Central Plains to Aipotu…
There were lots of people who had come through this portal to gather at the Black Castle.
The martial artists of the Triumvirate had come from the Central Plains for different reasons.
To get revenge on Neo for destroying Sichuan.
To take care of others associated with the Blood Cult to prepare for the future.
If not that…
– The Demon Cult is leading the charge!
Just to follow their god.
The Heavenly Demon's aura domain…
That did not just spread fear.
It gave certain people something to cheer for.
The Demon Cult.
Cale subconsciously mumbled after seeing the Demon Cult members.
“They’ve gone even crazier.”
The people who would even play dead if the Heavenly Demon told them to do so were charging at the battlefield as if death was no big deal.
Yes, they were charging forward.
There was no hesitation in their movements.
The Heavenly Demon opened his mouth at that moment.
“Kill them all.”
The Heavenly Demon repeated Neo's words.
“Ha. That attitude of his.”
As Cale looked at the Heavenly Demon and chuckled…
As if to respond to the Heavenly Demon…
“Demon!”
The Demon Cult charged at the enemies.
The other martial artists were behind them.
Having their own internal ki, the flailing of the mana was not a concern.
“…….”
The Heavenly Demon started to move again.
“Eek!”
He moved toward the Dragon charging at him.
Baaaaaang!
Bang!
Loud explosions echoed out one after another.
It was not just the Heavenly Demon.
The Imperial Palace's Fist King, Mok Hyeon, The Beggars' Gang's Elder Ho, and everybody else charged at the enemies with no signs of showing mercy.
‘Run wild.’
That was the only order in their minds.
Add even more chaos to the chaos.
That was their role, and for the martial artists who had created all sorts of issues in the Central Plains, this role was pretty easy.
They didn’t think about what comes next and just charged.
Humans, Elves, Dwarves…
“You human bastards, you dare!”
Even at the Dragons.
As the Dragons looked at Mok Hyeon, Elder Ho Song Yi, the Heavenly Demon, and the others in disbelief and tried to activate their attributes…
“!”
Some of the Dragons felt a chill and urgently moved back.
Where they had been standing…
Baaaaang!
Bang!
There was a loud noise and a giant ditch was created on the ground.
There were two figures standing in the ditch.
These two robed figures had been mixed with the martial artists.
Shhh.
Witira removed her hood.
Mana? The ground? The sky?
Why did any of that matter?
Witira reached out her hand.
Drip. Drip.
“It is raining this time.”
She smiled brightly after seeing the water. The figure next to her was slamming his fists together.
Bang, bang!
Archie was the one who had created the giant ditch and was laughing loudly.
“Keke. I get to fight against a Dragon to my heart's content? Fuck, this is too sweet!”
The Whales had joined the fight.
But they were not the only ones to join.
Caw. Caw.
Crows appeared in the sky.
Step, step.
Tiger shaman Gashan calmly walked out of the Black Castle.
Beast people quickly charged past him into the battlefield.
Wiesha, who had been in the front of the group, turned into her snake form and swung her large tail.
Baaaaang!
The ground shook.
Someone stepped on her tail to shoot up.
It was Lock.
He was already in his berserk form as he easily climbed over the castle wall and landed on the ground.
Martial artists and Beast people…
The Dragons scowled after looking at them.
There were looks of disbelief and shock mixed in as well, but…
The martial artists and Beast people were smiling.
It could not be helped.
Archie provoked the Dragons and asked.
“You’re not going to use your attributes?”
He snickered.
“Mana is hard to use right now, isn’t it?”
That was right.
The mana was going wild right now.
It was difficult for the Dragons to use magic in such a situation.
They would need to focus very hard to use magic.
But they would be attacked by the enemies as they tried to focus.
As a result, the easiest weapon to use right now was their attribute.
Smile.
The corners of Cale’s lips curled up.
Boom.
Boom.
Eruhaben and Mila landed on either side of him.
Lord Sheritt was still floating above the Black Castle, looking in his direction.
Cale stood with two reliable Dragons next to him as he addressed the Dragon Lord.
“It looks like teleportation will be hard. Right?”
Time and space.
Of the two, the first step to control space…
Was to prevent teleportation.
Neo would find it difficult to teleport, even if he stopped time, because of the mana running wild.
This was because the mana coordinates of his destination would be messed up.
“Hehe.”
Raon, who was stuck to Cale’s back, snickered.
It was almost an annoying laugh.
“!”
Cale's eyes opened wide.
“Hehe.”
Cale also laughed despicably.
Why?
– Human, as expected, I can still use magic!
‘Seriously?
I didn't think about this at all.’
Raon could use his magic as usual.
The present.
That attribute truly was great and mighty.
Cale snickered and spoke to Neo, who could still use his time attribute.
“I guess you have no choice. You have to fight here. Right?”
“…….”
Neo's eyebrow twitched.
The purple mana in his hand fluctuated even stronger.
His mana had not died even in this chaos.
“!”
However, Neo flinched for just an instant.
Cale feigned ignorance about what he had seen and raised his hand.
First, he had grabbed the enemies by their ankles.
In that case-
‘Time to imprison them.’
The moment Cale waived his hand…
Lord Sheritt started to move.
Boom!
The Black Castle started to shake once she gently stomped her foot.
Dozens of shields that had been around Sheritt started to move.
No, more shields were being created nonstop.
“…….”
Neo could see hundreds of shields heading toward him.
There were now so many shields that it was hindering him from seeing.
In the small gaps between the shields…
Something seeped in.
– It's gramps’ dust!
Golden dust took place in the gaps between the shields.
Then it was Mila’s turn with her Connect together attribute.
The shields and the dust…
She quickly started to connect them together.
Her speed was almost as swift as Cale’s instant.
The three Dragons were using everything they had.
They only had one goal.
Imprison.
Completely tie Neo down in this spot.
Of course, Neo would not just stand there and do nothing.
He was still strong even if he could not teleport.
But there were individuals who stood to stop him.
Clang.
It was Choi Han, Clopeh, and Hannah.
Choi Han released his aura domain.
“Hoo hoo.”
“This looks fun.”
While Clopeh and Hannah released black auras.
This was something else not affected by the upheaval. It was dead mana.
The last of their allies to step onto the battlefield at this moment were the Dark Elves.
“Ugh. Bone Dragon!”
“You need to destroy the connecting points of bones controlled by a necromancer!”
There was also Mary and the Dragon half-blood. There was no better duo when facing against a plethora of enemies.
Cale looked around before calmly looking at his allies facing off against Neo.
– Cale, are you going to be landing the final blow?
He ignored the cheapskate as he did so.
