Chapter 1147 — Book 2: Chapter 344: Who the hell are these humans? (1)
14 min read ·
Aurora looked at Cale and Choi Han with a blank look as she thought to herself.
‘Who the hell are these humans?’
Flutter flutter.
Raon's wings fluttered with joy as he landed on Cale's lap as Cale sat on the Chief’s couch as if he was the king.
“Human, is this village going to be ours now?”
Aurora thought again.
‘How the hell did this Dragon end up like this?’
Cotton had warned Aurora.
‘No.
Rather than exceptional, shouldn’t she have said peculiar?’
Aurora brushed her face with both hands.
“Is something worrying you?”
She flinched at Cale’s gentle voice and raised her head, only to make eye contact with him.
“Is it because of the condition of the village?”
Cale was smiling gently.
“No, that-”
Aurora could not continue to speak.
Over half of the mountain village was scorched. It was a serious situation.
It may be a relief that although people were injured nobody died, but they would need a significant amount of time to restore the village itself.
As such, the state of the village was a concern, but…
‘You guys are the bigger concern!’
Aurora could not say that part. However, she could not avoid Cale’s gentle face and opened her mouth.
“The Demon King’s Army-”
“Ah.”
Cale nodded his head as if he understood even without her saying anything else.
“Please don't worry about the Demon King's Army. It will be difficult for them to escape.”
“That’s right! Don’t worry, Aurora! We’ve knocked them all unconsciously with a paralysis poison! Just so you know, that poison was created by a member of our family and it is super effective!”
Sleeping paralysis poison Hong made was used to put most of the Demon King's Army to sleep.
As Raon's wings fluttered with satisfaction…
Aurora internally shouted.
‘You guys knocked them all unconscious even before that!
No…
Not just knock them unconscious, you guys put them in a much more serious state!’
The village had fallen into silence after Viscount Deshuran fainted.
Something that nobody had expected had happened.
Who would ever think that the head of the cruelest regiment of the Eight Regiments, the Sixth Regiment, the Devil of Flames would be knocked unconscious so easily?
However, it did make sense.
‘Cale Henituse. The aura released by this human was strong enough to make me think about the Demon King!’
Who would dare to move to save Viscount Deshuran in front of such a person?
Even Viscount Deshuran did not dare to move in front of Cale.
Choi Han was the amazing one for using that moment to knock him unconscious.
As only silence lingered…
The enemies finally came to their senses.
‘But that was it.’
Rescue Viscount Deshuran and escape.
The enemies thought about that in their minds, but…
Or maybe I need to get away so that I can tell the others about these people!
That thought came up too, but…
“What is it?”
As Cale Henituse looked around and nonchalantly commented…
“Are you trying to run? I suppose you want to die?”
The moment that formidable aura, which he had been showing until now, got even stronger, proving that what he used earlier was not at his strongest…
Neeeeeeeigh-!
Neeeeeigh-!
The horses for the Demon King's Army’s knights knelt down and neighed with fear.
Tang.
Tang.
Plop.
The regular soldiers put their weapons down. The knights and mages, the leaders of the Sixth Regiment, had to give up on running away.
Overwhelming strength.
This power that made them think of the Demon King…it was something that although others may not know, the Sixth Regiment knew how dreadful it was because they had fought together with the Demon King before. Because of that, they did not dare to attack.
Aurora thought to herself.
‘If he can release such a strong aura, an aura strong enough to make me think of the gods-
Just how strong is Cale Henituse?
Would I, someone who cannot even defeat the current Demon King, be able to last for just one minute in the plan?
Gulp.
He subconsciously gulped.
The Sixth Regiment had around two hundred soldiers.
They were all knocked unconscious by Choi Han's hand or fainted on their own while looking at Cale and Choi Han.
Aurora looked down at her hand.
‘Our Arm members help him knock all of them unconscious.’
She didn’t know what Arm was, but…
As Cale called out to her and motioned, Aurora knocked the enemies unconscious one by one. Of course, they did the same for other members of the D.
Shaaaaaaaaaaa-
Then it started to rain.
No, more specifically, it started to rain once Cale Henituse waved his hand in the air.
It was raining only on top of this mountain village.
That rain instantly put out the flames that were scorching the village.
– This isn’t anything compared to the fire that swept over the Third Saint Dragon’s house last time.
Cale was the only one who could hear the Sky Eating Water’s comment.
However, unlike the formidable aura that was still around the area, these clear and warm raindrops wrapped around the village and the villagers.
Aurora looked down at her hand and thought about the warm rain that touched her hand the moment the Demon King's Army was knocked unconscious.
Something that was fear itself but warmly wrapped around everyone…
How could two such opposing things come from one individual?
Aurora definitely saw it.
She saw how the Sixth Regiment’s top executives fell even deeper into despair as the refreshing rain drops wrapped around them.
They were strong, albeit not as strong as Aurora or Deshuran, so they had recognized the true strength behind this gentleness.
Keeping something or saving something…
This was an individual who could do both.
It was truly a phenomenal power.
“…….”
Aurora finished thinking and opened her mouth.
“The Demon King's Army-”
Cale looked toward her as she talked about the Demon King's Army again.
"We should kill all of the Demon King's Army.”
Cale was silent.
Aurora continued to speak.
"There is no need to keep them alive. Viscount Deshuran should have all the information. We just need to torture him to gain that information.”
Cale had a thought while looking at her.
‘How vicious.
Is it because she is talking about the enemy?’
Aurora was someone who was willing to risk her headquarters being discovered in order to save the villagers.
However, she was extremely thorough, to the point of seeming cold, toward the enemies.
‘Is this how the Demonic race are?’
Clearly distinguishing between allies and enemies…
Cale was thinking that was possible as Aurora continued to speak.
“It would actually be poisonous to keep them alive. Imagine the manpower, cost, and time we would need to waste to keep an eye on them.”
“…….”
Cale did not say anything.
Aurora continued to speak.
“Of course, if we kill all of them, the main army would lose communication with them and a second group may show up. No, I'm certain that they will.
However…
It would be the same even if we let them live. Even if we keep them tightly hidden, the main army will still lose contact with them. The Demon King’s Castle will definitely send a messenger and this place will be found out.”
Aurora looked at Cale.
Tap. Tap. Cale was tapping on the arm rest and seemed to be deep in thought.
“Either way, this village and our headquarters will be discovered.”
Of course, there had been a way for the headquarters to not get discovered.
They just had to stay out of the issue.
However, that was not the direction Aurora wanted for the Arbitrators.
The Demon King's Army or the people sent from the Demon King's Castle will probably end up finding their headquarters now, but her decision was the right decision.
As such, Aurora's expression did not look bad.
“Yes, it will be discovered in the end… However, we still saved the villagers and bought ourselves some time because we suppressed the Sixth Regiment.”
If any of the Sixth Regiment managed to escape, the report would have immediately gone up, leading to a horde of enemies coming to this place.
However, thanks to capturing Viscount Deshuran and the rest of the soldiers, they probably wouldn't pay much attention even if a report did not show up for a few days.
‘It is because of Viscount Deshuran’s usual actions.’
Although he was called a young noble…
“He is someone who always completes the Demon King's orders. There is indeed a level of trust for his abilities, but… He is also known for doing as he pleases.”
He is only loyal to the Demon King.
“With him being such a person, even if he doesn’t report up very frequently, they will just think that it is taking some time to complete the mission and not care about it for a few days.”
They just had to use this time wisely.
“Get rid of the enemies and move the headquarters.”
She looked at Choi Han and quickly added on.
“But since we have a few days of peace, we will make sure to be very thorough about moving Choi Jung Gun. You do not need to worry about that.”
If they had to protect the headquarters and move Choi Jung Gun while fighting against the enemies…
It would have been difficult.
It would have been quite the burden in their current situation, but they would have still gotten it done.
‘Yeah. We need them to see us in a positive light, so we have to make it happen no matter what.’
Aurora's eyes filled with determination.
It was at that moment.
"What a pity.”
“Excuse me?”
Aurora looked at Cale and her eyes opened wide.
The corners of Cale’s lips had gone up slightly.
“Miss Aurora.”
Cale pointed at her.
“Isn’t it a pity about the clothes you are wearing right now?”
She looked down.
She could see the clothes. She had taken the mask off, but she had forgotten to take this outfit off because of the chaos.
‘A pity about these clothes?
These shabby old clothes?’
The material was nice, but Aurora found these oddly shabby clothes uncomfortable.
“Excuse me?”
As Aurora's face turned sour…
“The time you spent wearing those clothes would have gone to waste.”
Her expressions change after hearing what Cale said.
Cale slowly explained to the confused Aurora.
"We are currently Arm.”
As Aurora flinched as she remembered Choi Han's terrible acting…
“The Sixth Regiment does not know that we, no, that you are one of the Arbitrators, Miss Aurora. They also do not know that you are you.”
“……!”
Cale’s words stabbed into her ears.
“Now then. What is Arm?”
Originally, Arm was the group created by the White Star.
And that White Star was basically used by the Hunters.
Cale was planning on turning Arm into a new group.
“Starting now, Arm is going to be the believers of the God of Chaos.”
“……!”
Aurora’s eyes filled with chaos.
Cale didn't care and calmly shared the thoughts that had crossed his mind while looking at the grey mana on their way down to the village.
“Arm will be the group that the God of Chaos is secretly raising. They stealthily seep into the Demon World and the Virtual Reality game world and only move in ways that are beneficial to the God of Chaos.
The corners of Cale’s lips slowly curled up.
Gulp.
Aurora subconsciously gulped.
“The believers of the God of Chaos use a grey power. But the Demonic race seem to use the same grey mana? In that case, wouldn’t it be difficult for people to tell whether people are from the Demonic race or believers of the God of chaos.”
“…….”
“Miss Aurora, don’t you agree?”
“Ah yes, yes sir!”
Cale watched her urgently nod her head as he continued.
His jovial voice echoed out.
“And this aura that I used… Isn’t it similar to the fear used by the God of Chaos?”
After the Dominating Aura experienced the God of Death and started to absorb the holy power’s curtain… Despite not fully digesting all of the Saint’s powers… They were getting better at pretending.
“…I am not sure because I have never met the God of Chaos.”
Gulp. Aurora gulped again and cautiously resumed sleeping.
“That fear makes me think about chaos.”
“That is correct. And we are the humans who suddenly appeared in the Demon World.”
Cale smiled.
“Of course, quite a few of the Sixth Regiment saw Choi Han, Raon, and my faces. However, the people not in the center only experienced my power, most of the soldiers never even saw my mouth properly.
That was also true.
“What if we took some of those soldiers and sent them back out while keeping a strong eye on them?”
“…….”
“And if we acted as if we were believers of the God of Chaos before they ran away? What if we made it look as if we attacked the Sixth Regiment so that we had sacrifices to offer the God of Chaos?”
Aurora could not easily answer.
However, as the heat in Cale’s eyes headed right at her…
“Hmm? Miss Aurora, what do you think?”
The moment he asked her for an answer…
Aurora opened his mouth.
“I, if it really is possible to fool them like that-”
She slowly pulled her thoughts out.
I think it would be a splendid way to mess with them.”
“That's right. Miss Aurora!”
Cale smiled brightly.
“Do you know what the greatest thing for us is right now?”
Cale put up three fingers.
“It is the fact that we have not one, but three enemies. The three of them have their own thoughts and are wary of one another.”
The World of the Gods. The Demon World. The Hunters.
The enemies were three large groups.
Cale's goal was the Hunters.
And in order to make it easier to take those Hunters down…
“We should use this magnificent situation. Am I right?”
Aurora slowly nodded her head.
‘This human-’
Cale Henituse…
She started to feel fear and marvel about this person.
Arm.
A secret organization that follows the God of Chaos.
Cale was trying to create such an organization.
The reason something like this was possible was because the necessary conditions were met through the power that Cale possessed being similar to chaos.
‘A human truly has an aura similar to a god?
How scary.
This human is a truly scary human.’
“Miss Aurora, who are we?”
But because this human was on her side…
Aurora held back her fear and answered.
“We are Arm.”
“Yes. We are Arm.”
Cale smiled brighter than ever before.
“Human, are we finally smacking someone in the back? I'm so excited, hehe!”
“Mm. I guess we need to work hard as Arm.”
“Eek! Choi Han, you don’t do anything! You are magnificent just standing there! Just quietly stand here with me!”
Raon and Choi Han's conversation sounded warm and affectionate, but Aurora felt cold.
Her gaze was still on Cale.
Cale stood up.
He walked over to Aurora on the other side.
He then bowed down to meet her gaze.
“Miss Aurora. Of course, things will become even more cumbersome if we start acting as Arm.”
There were a lot of things to do in front of the captured Sixth Regiment.
“And even if we let a few of the common soldiers out, the headquarters and the village being discovered in the end cannot be helped.”
That was why Aurora would need to use even more time and manpower than she first expected.
“Furthermore, we have to take care of the villagers as well.”
Aurora clenched her eyes shut.
‘Things have become complicated.’
However, if she follows the plan…
‘The headquarters will be seen as Arm’s secret headquarters.’
Hiding the Arbitrators and pushing Arm forward… The Arbitrators could become safer.
Furthermore, it would cause the enemies chaos.
‘If things go according to plan, this is beneficial to us.
Extremely beneficial.’
Aurora slowly opened her eyes as she made up her mind.
‘I will definitely succeed-’
“Huh?”
However, a confused voice came out of her mouth.
“Huh?”
She let out that same confused voice again.
Her gaze stopped right in front of her and could not look away.
“Huh?”
It could not be helped.
She heard Cale's voice.
His voice was still gentle and soft.
The voice that scared her continued to speak.
“Time and manpower. Let’s try to lessen those things.”
Aurora's eyes started to shake.
“And finding a spot for the new headquarters as well as moving the villagers to somewhere else… Let’s quickly take care of all these things.”
Aurora closed her eyes and opened them back.
“Ah-”
The dazzling jewels were still visible in front of her.
The jewels piled up in Cale's palms…
They were so beautifully cut that it was difficult to fathom their value!
“Please take these.”
Aurora received the jewels with shaking hands.
Cale then pulled out another spatial pocket bag.
"There are jewels in here as well.”
Gulp.
Aurora gulped.
Her pupils were shaking as she looked at Cale.
Cale spoke with a gentle smile on his face.
“Let’s use money to decrease the time and manpower necessary. You and I both know that is possible.”
That was right.
Aurora nodded her head.
It really was possible with these jewels.
“Furthermore, let’s make another proper base. We are Arm after all.”
Aurora opened her mouth.
Her lips were shaking.
She subconsciously commented.
“Oh, dear god.”
Aurora sought out a god for the first time in her life.
Yes, this human in front of her was a god.
A god of gold.
“Hmm?”
Cale’s smile became a bit unsettled at this unexpected response.
