Chapter 1154 — Book 2: Chapter 351: Nameless (2)
12 min read ·
Crown prince Alberu Crossman made some time to have tea time with lemon tea and cookies.
His gaze headed toward one of the two half-transparent windows.
Chomp.
Shortened as < RPOG >…
The game, ‘Raising my very own precious omnipotent god.’
It was the first ever Virtual Reality game, one that used such unmatchable skills so that no other games could match it. It was a game that felt like a real world.
This game world was called New World.
< The New World Community > was an ‘official’ location through the Transparent ©.
RPOG was a game that billions of people on Earth, maybe even the majority of the entire Earth’s population was focusing on.
< Holy shit! It is opening in 20 hours!! >
RPOG's official community, ‘New Comm’ was quite active right now.
< My hands are shaking after waiting a whole day >
Countless new posts were appearing one after the other.
< Isn’t this the first ever large-scale update? >
– Yes yes. This is the first.
– There have been small updates, but this is the first that shut the game down for a whole day.
This was the first time the game shut down like this since Transparent © officially launched RPOG.
The users were getting excited about that.
As a game played by billions, news stations all around Earth were reporting about the large-scale update as well. Even channels not focused on games were discussing the potential results of the upcoming update.
Earth.
It would not be wrong to say that RPOG dominated this whole place.
The biggest reason for the excitement…
< Ah, who will be the first to form a kingdom? >
‘The great first step.’
It was the fact that users could finally create their own nations.
Click.
Alberu Crossman touched a post that he noticed.
==============
< Ah, who will be the first to form a kingdom? >
There are currently three rankers who claim that they have the K.Q. (Kingdom Quest).
The Marital God of China.
The Witch of Water from Sweden.
The Black Lion of Arcea (Jungle Alliance).
Which of them will be the first?
==============
There were already dozens of comments.
==============
– Holy shit. Hey, I can guarantee that it won't be one of those attention seekers.
– This guy is right. Those damn attention seekers who have even revealed their nationalities.
– No. The fact that they revealed that could mean that the country is their backing. They are all guild leaders with lots of followers.
– Hey. Hey. None of them are top rankers.
==============
Alberu stopped at that comment for a bit.
Chomp.
The rankers who revealed themselves were in the top 100, but none of them were considered ‘top rankers,’ the top ten players in the game.
==============
– No no. Now that I think about it, I don’t think they received the K.Q. Based on ranking order. I think the system gave the users who have been determined to be capable of raising their own major force were given the quests to prepare.
==============
"Correct.”
Alberu nodded his head.
==============
– However, I'm sure that there are some top rankers, no, even in the top 100, who have hidden the fact that they received the quest. I'm sure more people are hiding the quest rather than revealing it like these attention seekers.
– Correct. Let’s be honest. Some of the top rankers have never revealed their identities or their appearances.
– Do you think the number 1 ranker received the K.Q.? I'm super curious about #1.
==============
#1 Ranker.
That was Ahn Roh Man.
He never revealed his identity and information about him was much less compared to the other top 10 rankers.
Chomp.
Alberu took another bite of his cookie.
==============
– Anyway, I presume those in the top 100 or those bastards who are guild masters received the K.Q.
– What about some regular users?
– That’s impossible. Even if they did receive it, if they are outside the top 100 or don't have their own major force, it will be impossible to fulfill the K.Q.
==============
Chomp.
==============
– Kekekekekekekeke, funny bastards.
==============
A comment caught his attention.
It was a long comment.
– Kekekekekekekeke, funny bastards.
We should not be paying attention to who can create the first kingdom right now.
We need to first consider whether it is even possible to create a kingdom.
"Correct.”
– How are the major forces in New World right now? Forget places like the Eight Evils or other locations we can't touch. What is the situation in the areas humans can go to?
Now many kingdoms, empires, racial alliances are there?
Take land from those bastards and create a kingdom?
Do you really think that is possible?
Kekekeke, stupid bastards. Hey, rather than thinking about that, we should be thinking about how us foreigners (users) will be treated by the NPCs once these bastards run amok for the K.Q.
In my opinion, the most plausible option would be for one of the rankers to make a deal with the Empire to receive a free city and have it become accepted as a principality.
If nobody does that, this content is probably something that would take a minimum of five years and a maximum of ten kekekeke.
The user who had written this long comment left another one.
– For us low levels, we should be focusing on other content in this update. A lot of things are being updated this time.
Chomp.
Alberu stopped reading the comment.
“Who is this user?”
This user’s last comment caught his attention.
– Expansion of the Eight Evils, addition of some fields. We need to focus on this. This means that more NPCs, more monsters, more items will appear again. It is a chance for low level characters like us to get stronger. If we can successfully attack the Eight Evils, we may find ways to defeat the strong individuals of each kingdom that rule over New World right now.
Honestly speaking, even the top 10 rankers of New World could barely enter the top 100 of the strong individuals in the entirety of New World.
The NPCs in New World were that strong. The existences already in this world were that strong.
“Mm. I think this guy used his game ID for the forum?”
He could see the community board ID of the person who left the comment.
There were some people who made an account with the community board and left their ID despite being able to post anonymously.
< Greatest Chief of the Universe >
His ID was a bit-
Chomp.
‘I think it will be his game ID as well.’
“Hmm.”
‘He seems quite useful.
Should I look for him?’
Alberu organized his thoughts and turned the screen off.
He then looked toward the other half-transparent window.
"I guess it will be difficult for you to come to Roan for a while.”
– Yes, your highness.
Cale nodded his head from the other side of the half-transparent screen.
We haven't been able to install a portal inside the Black Castle yet.”
– Should I ask Ahn Roh Man for some advice?
Cale chuckled before asking Alberu.
“Do you really mean that, your highness?’
– No. I don't mean it at all.
Alberu smiled elegantly.
– My dongsaeng is my secret weapon. I can’t have him figure that out.
After figuring out that they should be wary of Ahn Roh Man…
Cale and Alberu decided to hide Cale’s identity from Ahn Roh Man until they could figure out his true intentions.
The Seventh Evil…
Cale’s group, who were registered in the Seventh Evil with this current update, were all mid-level NPCs other than Eden Miru.
– But it is also a problem to hide too much information from Ahn Roh Man.
“Yes, I know, your highness.”
Heading to Earth 3 to fight both in the game and on Earth… Ahn Roh Man would become suspicious if Cale, who originally said he would fight the Transparent Bloods on both fronts, suddenly stopped giving him information.
That guy seemed similar to Alberu, and, potentially because he was older, also had his years of experience.
“Miss Rosalyn will help you once the portal is created inside the Black Castle, your highness.”
– Will Miss Rosalyn register as a regular user?
“Yes, your highness. You have that quest, your highness.”
He was talking about the hero quest.
However, they didn't discuss it.
– Mm.
“I think it would be best for her to be a regular user.”
Cale, who saw Alberu oddly start to groan as soon as the topic of the hero came up, smiled.
"What is it, your highness? Do you not want to do that?
– You are such a wicked dongsaeng.
Alberu was annoyed at Cale, who knew how he was feeling but talked as if he had no idea.
Cale shrugged his shoulders.
“Please don’t put too much meaning to a name. Just think of it as a means to head toward your goal.”
Alberu closed his mouth at this nonchalantly stated comment.
“Your highness, I'm certain that you are thinking, ‘I'm not a good fit for that position. This is something very different from me.’ Isn't that right?”
Alberu was thinking that Choi Han, Rosalyn, or Cale were better suited to be the hero.
– You disrespectful bastard.
Cale easily ignored that comment.
In his eyes, Alberu Crossman had a tendency to oddly put himself down.
“For being disrespectful, I am an extremely high-leveled villain in the game, your highness. Aren’t you a low-leveled newbie?
Pfft.”
One corner of Cale’s lip curled up as he chuckled.
– …….
Alberu was silent for a bit before he smiled elegantly.
“!”
Cale flinched.
He had been joking, but…
‘This guy took it seriously?’
Cale thought that the crown prince had become a total gamer before urgently adding on.
“And that dark shadow is your backer, your highness. Haha!”
– Haha! Right? My dongsaeng is such a good talker.
"Right, your highness? Hahaha-”
The laughing Cale stopped once he noticed Alberu had stopped as well.
– You've figured out the composition of power?
“Yes, your highness.”
Information about the Eight Evils.
Information about the 3 strong, 5 mid, 10 weak forces that control New World.
Cale had figured out all of those things while the update happened.
Knock knock knock.
They heard some knocks on the door at that moment.
– Let’s talk more later.
Cale put the mirror back in his pocket and opened the door.
“Miss Rosalyn?”
An unexpected person was in front of him.
“Young master Cale. We can't connect the portal like this.”
20 hours.
They had about a day left before the update finished.
“There is one thing missing.”
Sheritt and Rosalyn were the core of the creation of the Black Castle Portal with the help of the God of Death and the foundation of this world.
But there was a problem.
"What is missing?”
“Huuuuu.”
Rosalyn sighed before calmly answering.
“Obtaining the energy that will go into connecting the Black Castle with the game, the power to maintain the portal, those things were figured out through the one in Neo's lair and we can easily make that happen.”
As Cale nodded his head, Rosalyn continued with a stiff look on her face.
“But the connection. The connection itself is difficult.”
It was a fundamental issue.
"We don't know the structure of the game world.”
They had a mage and a Dragon who knew the structure of mana, and a god who knew the structure of a portal, but…
Nobody knew the structure of the game.
"We need an expert about New World or its system.”
‘Ah.’
Cale figured out what was missing.
“Will it be fine as long as I bring a system expert of RPOG?”
Smile.
A smile that resembled the morning dew on a rose appeared on Rosalyn’s tired face.
“That is the answer. Young master Cale.”
Cale answered Rosalyn, whom he could communicate with easily in a different way than with Alberu.
“I guess we need to swipe one of the Transparent Bloods.”
“To be more accurate, you need someone from Transparent ©. Especially an expert in the game system.”
“I’m sure there has to be someone who has a grudge against Transparent © or has been kicked out of there.”
“That's right. The Transparent Bloods would try to fill the positions with their own people.”
“Then we will have to find one of the people who have been shunned.”
“Exactly. But it is highly likely that those people would be hiding themselves.”
Once Rosalyn finished speaking, Cale looked at her and smiled.
“Then it looks like I need to head to Earth 3.”
If the president of a country, Ahn Roh Man, helped him, it should be easy to find at least one expert.
Furthermore, Ahn Roh Man's parents had been the ones to create the foundation of that Virtual Reality.
They will just need to find someone who helped his parents.
Rosalyn already knew that as well.
“Exactly. That is correct. Young master Cale, I think we will need that person's help to find someone.”
Rosalyn had thought that far as well.
Cale answered with a smile still on his face.
“It would be best to go before the update, right?”
“As quickly as possible would be best.”
He nonchalantly commented.
“You'll go, right?”
“Yes. I am the right person to go.”
Rosalyn knew everything about the portal research.
Unlike Sheritt, she was also capable of moving around.
Furthermore, as the person who would register as a user after Alberu, she would need to go in order for Cale to avoid Ahn Roh Man's eyes.
“That’s great.”
Cale pulled the mirror out of his pocket.
“I’ll need to contact the God of Death.”
He would need to, at least temporarily, go to Earth 3 with Rosalyn.
Of course, he would soon return to the Black Castle. With an expert.
“Young master Cale, we should have his highness go with us as well. This is our chance to do so. He is our one and only user after all.”
Rosalyn saying that with a smile despite knowing that Cale and the others were already registering for the game to build their foundation made Cale end up chuckling.
Rosalyn.
She was quite wicked as well at times.
“Mm. You are right. His highness is our one and only game user right now. Let’s go together if he has the time.”
Of course, Cale, who was nodding as if she didn't say anything wrong, was also on the wicked side.
***
“Human, this combination is a first!”
Cale and Rosalyn who temporarily returned to Roan, as well as crown prince Alberu who had been waiting for them. And Raon as well.
These four were partnering together for the first time as they headed toward Earth 3.
"But for some reason, this combination is a bit, a bit scary in my opinion!”
Raon fluttered his wings and shouted after seeing Alberu smiling elegantly at him, Cale smiling gently at him, and Rosalyn smiling confidently at him.
“Anyway, it will at least be super fun! This group can defeat anybody!”
Paaaat!
The black light of the God of Death’s power wrapped around them and they soon headed toward Earth 3’s Roan. They headed toward the world where President Ahn Roh Man would be waiting for them.
‘Ah.’
For reference, Ahn Roh Man has no idea that they are coming.
He should be waiting for them anyway, so wouldn’t it be fun to surprise him?
