Chapter 1161 — Book 2: Chapter 358: The amusement of the greatest of all evils (4)

The Western Breeze Empire's capital, Anne.
The Temple of the Sun God was located to the east compared to the Imperial Palace at the center of the capital.
[Head to the capital of the Western Empire and visit the Central Temple of the Sun God!]
Cale confirmed the quest and looked forward.
– Human, it’s right in front of you!
As Raon mentioned, the Temple of the Sun God was very close to the three-story building Cale was standing at right now.
Sub quest 1. [Steal the power of chaos]
The first step in this sub quest was to visit the Sun God’s central temple.
The next step would probably appear once he visited the Central Temple.
“Wow.”
Cale was amazed.
– Gulp.
The cheapskate gulped.
Hong blankly mumbled next to Cale.
“They're rich, nya-”
“This is amazing, nya.”
On was amazed as well.
It could not be helped.
“Human, it’s the sun!”
The Temple of the Sun God.
For reference, it was a night with a new moon.
Even the moon could not be seen.
But everything was bright right now.
It could not be helped.
The cheapskate was shaking as he shouted.
– God, gold…golden sun……!
A large sun releasing golden light was floating in the front of the central temple, revealing its radiant appearance.
– Ha. A church that creates a sculpture out of gold and uses magic to make it glow-
The Super Rock scoffed in disbelief.
– How great and mighty!
The cheapskate was truly amazed.
– Holy shit.
The Sky Eating Water swore in disbelief and then became quiet.
– Sniff. Sniff.
The Sound of the Wind started to sniff.
– I want to steal it.
Cale felt his heart beat wildly with excitement at her low voice but he chose not to pay it much attention right now.
Instead, he raised his hand.
Tap.
On and Hong easily jumped off the roof.
They then landed on the roof of the next building.
The young boy and girl in their human forms arrived at the target location with swift movements.
Bow.
Choi Han bowed to Cale.
“Yeah. See you later.”
As Cale waved…
Tatap!
Choi Han, On, and Hong all jumped off the roof to the ground.
Their target was the front yard of the Central Temple of the Sun God.
The Central Temple of the Sun God, which had the glowing sun sculpture, was as bright as the day despite it being night.
"W, what the hell? Hey, hey! Call the Holy Knight!”
“Holy shit!”
The guard at the gate became flustered after seeing three tall and short humans wearing black clothes and masks charging at him.
“W, who goes there?!”
As one of the guards pointed his spear forward and shouted…
Tatap!
On easily stepped on that spear and jumped into the air.
Hong followed behind and shouted.
"We are Arm, nya!”
“Huuuuu.”
On sighed and added on.
“That’s right. We are Arm.”
“…….”
Choi Han was silent.
It was the moment the three of them jumped over the gate and easily entered.
Piiiiiiiiiiii– piiiiiii-
A sharp noise spread out throughout the Central Temple and became loud enough to wake everyone up.
“!”
"Shit!”
Guards, low-grade priests, high-grade priests, and even Holy Knights…
All of them turned pale after hearing this noise.
Oooooong– oooooong—-
Furthermore, the sculpture at the center of the temple’s garden, the Sunlight’s Tear Sculpture, was shaking intensely and crying.
After checking all of this, a high-ranking priest’s face turned from pale to blue.
"Evil-!”
She shouted, almost in a screech.
"Evil dares to infiltrate the domain of the sun!”
Good, neutral, evil.
The Church of the Sun God fell under the ‘good’ disposition.
As a result, when an existence with the disposition of evil infiltrates this area, this Central Temple had it set up to sound an alarm.
That meant that these three in front of them were people with ‘evil’ dispositions.
Piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii– piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii–!
Oooooong– oooooong–
They were so evil that not just the formation in the temple but the Sunlight's Tears sculpture was crying.
And such evil people? There was no way they were weak.
“Low-ranking priests rush inside!”
“Hide the believers!”
A big issue was happening at the Central Temple in the middle of the night.
“Surround them!”
Holy Knights quickly ran out and tried to set up a formation.
However, Choi Han, the one in charge of this group of very ‘evil’ people, raised his hand.
On stepped forward and started to speak.
“Rise, oh fog of chaos!”
Fog quickly spread out through the gate and the garden before almost instantly stretching out to the temple.
On recalled what Cale had said to the teddy bear.
‘However, as your disposition is evil, if you visit a location that is incompatible with your disposition, the opposing group may notice it.’
On, Hong, and Choi Han were all associated with the Seventh Evil.
They were not just petty crooks.
Hong then shot up behind her and shouted.
“I'll give you a taste of the poison of chaos!”
Ominous-looking red and green colors seeped into the fog.
Although they were wearing masks and black outfits, their voices and size made it clear that On and Hong were a young girl and a young boy.
But the words coming out of their mouths were scary.
“It’s poison!”
“Don’t charge in!”
“Cast the Holy Shields!”
The Holy Knights tried to respond calmly without getting anxious but it was not easy.
Poisonous fog.
One that spread quickly and wide like this was quite scary.
There was a reason the leaders in battlefields found poison to be one of the scariest things to fight.
“Ugh!”
“Are, you, oka, ooo-”
Some grabbed their legs as if they were paralyzed.
Others started to faint.
As people who did not manage to avoid the poisonous fog started to fall one after another, the Holy Knights focused on moving people behind the Holy Shields.
Peek.
Choi Han was looking around while all of this happened.
“Damn. Holy shit, is this a new quest?”
“Chaos? What is this, what is this?”
“Jackpot. Is this a new route that is opening?”
The Sun God’s Central Temple in the middle of the night…
There were still some users here at this time.
Unlike the NPCs, they were clearly foreigners.
They were surprised at this situation but could not hide their interest.
Choi Han could not hear them because they were talking quietly, but he could clearly see the curiosity in their eyes.
This was the difference between reality and Virtual Reality.
Ooooooooong!
A large rumbling happened at that moment.
“Oh, Sir Boltien!”
Someone wearing a white armor giving off a dazzling light slowly walked out of the temple.
The priests and Holy Knights were clearly relieved.
“Jackpot! I've never seen him in person before!”
Some of the users who were visiting the temple for quests could not hide their excitement.
“Wow, when will I reach that point?”
The users who were completely low-ranking quests at the temple to eventually be promoted to Holy Knight could not hide their envy.
Some of the users did not make the fact that they were foreigners obvious as they were well-assimilated with the temple’s side and quietly watching.
In some ways, they were the wise ones. They could avoid the sharp gazes of the NPC priests looking at the chatty foreigners.
“Why is a large evil aiming for our holy light?”
Sir Boltien.
He was the Holy Knight in charge of the troops at the Breeze Sun God's Central Temple, a highest-ranking Holy Knight dispatched by the Vatican.
“…….”
However, Choi Han did not answer.
Ooooooong-
He quietly observed the large light Sir Boltien released before raising his hand.
On clicked her tongue.
“Tsk!”
She then waved her hands in the air as if she was drawing a picture.
“We needed to spread some more chaos, nya.”
Hong and Choi Han had already run away as she did that.
On followed right behind them.
Of course, she didn’t leave just like that.
“Chaos will soon descend upon this land!”
Shaaaaaaaaaaa-
The poisonous fog was carried by a breeze and charged toward the temple like a large wave.
“S, shit!”
“Run into the temple!”
The ones who were about to chase them…
Even Boltien, who was about to give the order to chase, could not act rashly because of this large poisonous fog wave.
The ominous red and green wave made them think of death.
“My lord!”
“Sir Boltien!”
Sir Boltien watched Choi Han, On, and Hong disappear before turning his gaze to the people looking at him with desperation and stepped forward.
He then picked up the shield on his back.
Boom!
The moment he smashed his shield down onto the marble floor…
“Oh radiant light!”
A bright golden light started from the shield and attacked the poisonous fog.
“!”
Boltien’s eyes opened wide.
Shaaaaaaaaaaaa-
The poisonous fog stopped.
The red and green started to shrink as well.
"Thank you very much, sir! You even purified it!”
A high-ranking priest was full of delight and approached Boltien.
As everybody was relieved…
Boltien calmly commented.
“That poison was not dangerous.”
“Excuse me?”
Boltien looked around the garden.
“Huh? The paralysis disappeared?”
"What, they are sleeping? They show no other symptoms? Check again!”
The paralyzed people returned to normal.
The unconscious people were actually just sleeping.
It had been extremely light paralysis poison and sleeping poison.
People found it weird that unlike its scary appearance, the poison had not been very threatening at all.
However, they did not look lightly upon the enemies.
Oooooo– oooooo–
The sculpture’s rumbling slowly lessened.
Piiiii—
The alarm echoing throughout the temple quieted as well.
This formation and sculpture did not lie.
They were mysterious items with the power of a god.
That meant that these people really were large evil presences.
“They made it weak on purpose.”
Nobody could say anything to Sir Boltien’s remark.
"… Chaos-. Bishop-nim.”
“Yes, Sir Boltien.”
Step, step. Boltien respectfully asked the old woman walking out of the temple.
“Is there an evil associated with chaos?”
Bishop Serisa was the person in charge of the Western Empire’s Church of the Sun God and she resided here, in the Empire of Culture, the large Breeze Empire’s Central Temple.
“…I'm not sure.”
She did not answer that there wasn’t one.
She just chose to be silent about it.
Sir Boltien was about to ask Serisa another question before he had to stop.
“Boss. Apparently the guards heard about their identities.”
The ominous fog was almost completely gone now.
The guard was shaking as he told them what he heard.
“T, they called themselves A, Arm-”
“Arm?”
“Yes, yes sir! They called themselves Arm!”
Chaos and Arm.
Those words swept over the Central Temple of the Sun God.
And…
“We purposely only used weak poison, nya. Nobody should have gotten hurt, nya!”
“Yeah. They shouldn't have been hurt.”
On petted Hong’s concerned face and quickly started to move.
Tap. Tap.
On, Hong, and Choi Han had sent the poisonous fog wave to prevent the enemies from chasing after them, but… They still hurried.
“They are following us.”
As Choi Han mentioned, there were some figures following them in the distance.
“We’ll get rid of them within the hour.”
"Sounds great, nya!”
“Easy peasy.”
The three of them purposely created traces to leisurely ditch the people tailing them. They didn’t know about On and Hong’s abilities, but Choi Han was definitely at a level those trackers could not tail. Actually, their skills were so far apart that Choi Han could even easily knock the people tailing them unconscious and escape.
“I want to know if you saw them get out, nya.”
Choi Han calmly answered the running On’s question.
“I confirmed that Cale-nim and Raon entered the temple and then left. Don’t worry.”
The moment the poisonous fog spread…
Cale and Raon had stealthily entered the temple.
They had also left the temple when Choi Han, On, and Hong had left.
“Human, did you see that fog wave earlier? I created that gust of wind that created the wave! Wasn't it better than before?”
“Yeah. You did well. You are so great and mighty.”
“Hehe!”
Cale just gave whatever answers to Raon and leisurely walked.
Choi Han, On, and Hong…
When they had infiltrated into the garden…
The alarm had spread throughout the entire temple.
Individuals associated with the Seventh Evil had appeared.
‘And when Raon and I sneaked over the wall while invisible-’
In a direction different from the trio…
As Cale infiltrated the temple right after them…
Ooooooooong-
The Sun's Tears sculpture had let out a loud cry.
It was because the true evil of evils, the greatest of all evils had appeared.
But thanks to Choi Han, On, and Hong causing a ruckus, nobody looked for the invisible Cale and Raon.
‘It is a bit disappointing that I couldn’t look through there.’
But he had to be satisfied with this level of visit this time.
It was not easy for Cale, as someone with the ‘evil’ disposition, to sneak into the Central Temple and snoop around.
Furthermore, looking around the Central Temple had not been his goal.
Sub quest.
[Head to the capital of the Western Empire and visit the Central Temple of the Sun God!]
He received a new quest in this quest chain the moment he entered the temple.
[Shake hands with the believer of chaos (Serisa)!]
“Found you.”
He had found the rat.
Serisa.
The bishop in charge of the Breeze Church of the Sun God.
She was associated with the God of Chaos.
“How wonderful.”
This quest thing was quite useful.
Of course, it did not mean that he planned on moving as the quest told him to do.
He just thought about creating quests for his own benefits or utilizing them.
“I think they said she has a speech coming up.”
All public schedules of the Sun God’s Central Temple were in Cale's mind already.
In two days… Serisa was scheduled to give a speech at the Breeze Empire’s Emperor Established Academy.
“It'll be the perfect time for a handshake.
Heh.”
Cale laughed out joyfully.

Alberu went to one of the RPOG community boards.
– Breeze, Anne Community Board –
Breeze, the Western Empire It was the community board for its capital, Anne.
===================
< New Character appears in Moonlight Shadow! >
A weird NPC appeared in the Moonlight Shadow inn! He had two cats by his side and an egg in a baby carrier! I saw him earlier today! He seems to be a new NPC with the update! I plan on waiting until tomorrow before speaking to him.
– I saw that new character around the plaza. Maybe he was on his way to the Moonlight Shadow?
– Cats? Egg? Tamer? Is it a tamer-related class?
– He was handsome. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and handsome.
===================
“Blonde hair and blue eyes?”
Alberu started to frown.
He felt like he knew just too well who Cale Henituse was pretending to be right now.
===================
< Urgent! There was an attack on the Temple of the Sun God! >
Someone with the ‘evil’ disposition seems to have infiltrated it! They were saying something about chaos, and Arm, mm… Maybe this is the start of a new quest?
There’s so many new things since the update.
This is so dope. Hey Transparent, just keep it up like this, okay? Please?
– I was looking into it as well. Maybe there is a God of Chaos since they keep shouting chaos this and chaos that? Maybe that’s why they invaded the Sun God's place?
– Oh, this theory seems pretty lit. Are we finally getting an evil god?
– Are there no evil gods in New World?
– Yeah, there aren’t. The Demonic race is there but there are no Demonic gods or evil gods.
– Ohh, is this finally the appearance of an evil god?
– There's so much crazy content now.
===================
“I guess things were taken care of properly.”
Alberu chuckled and tried to close the community board window.
He had gotten all of the important information he needed.
However, he had to stop moving after seeing something pop up in the window.
===================
< Urgent! Apparently the Imperial Crown Prince of the Eastern Empire is the top ranker! >
===================
The poster had been so rushed that there was nothing written inside, it was just the title.
That post caused quite the chaos.
No, it burned it up with chaos.
The Eastern Lienti Empire…
A large festival would soon happen there.
This was also the time they would reveal the Imperial Crown Prince.
And that Imperial Crown Prince was the top ranker, I'm going to fuck up the bastard who took Taerang.’
The secretive top ranker, shortened and known as ‘FBT.’
He had appeared.
Furthermore-
– Holy shit! Doesn’t that mean FBT will be the one to first create a kingdom, no, to become Emperor?
RPOG's great first step.
This was also the first step to announce RPOG's new goal.
“Your highness. Where will you go now?”
Alberu closed the community board and answered Rosalyn’s question.
“I'm heading to the Devil’s Boundary.
“The Devil’s Boundary? What kind of place is that?”
“Pfft.” Alberu chuckled before answering Rosalyn’s question.
"A place full of weak and trashy things.”
Alberu started to walk.
He was already taking a step toward his destination.
Rosalyn followed behind him.
The sun which floated in the sky of this virtual reality world seemed to be shining down on Alberu’s back for some reason.
His long shadow looked quite large.
