Chapter 1183 — Book 2: Chapter 380: I'm sure it was not enough (5)

Cale sat down next to Alberu and looked into the half transparent window he opened.
“What a mess.”
“Dongsaeng, think about what we've done. How can it not be a mess?”
The smiling Alberu seemed happy.
Cale looked away from that smile with an unsettled look on his face and stared at the screen.
===================
< Holy shit. The Tournament got fucked! >
===================
===================
< Hey, hey! The sky above the stadium turned weird right now? What is going on? What’s happening? >
What is happening in the Lan Kingdom right now?
Only the sky above the stadium has turned dark red?
Did a hell field spawn or something?
– Holy shit. Not a hell field. I'm currently escaping.
– What? Explain more.
– The Alliance leader of the Cooperative Alliance was a spy.
– Wow. I'm the victor since I was in that stadium.
– How was it?
– To be honest with you, I didn't get a good look.
– Why?
– You had to run if you didn't want to die, lol.
But Kim Hae-Yi, the Alliance leader of the Cooperative Alliance… I'm sure the two of them are a part of a different larger quest.
Their main goal can't just be aiming for the position of the Lan Kingdom's heir. I think this was a clue into a much larger episode.
===================
Kim Hae-Yi.
That name was slowly starting to be mentioned in the main community board.
===================
< The Strongest Under the Heavens Competition must have a hidden scheme! >
< White threads, dark red cloud... What skills are they? >
< Suspicious groups that even the Lan Queen doesn’t know about have appeared! >
===================
All sorts of titles were popping up.
But one of them caught Cale's attention.
===================
< Video up. >
One of the users who went to see the match put it up. ‘Wow, holy shit. So it must mean this guy is an NPC. How strong is he?
Is this a skill the users can use as well?
– Kim Hae-Yi? Who is he?
– No clue. I originally thought he was an NPC who appeared for the quest, but that doesn’t seem to be it. Based on what I've seen, there seems to be some hidden scheme in the Lan Kingdom.
– The Cooperative Alliance is a joke now?
===================
He clicked the video link.
Baaaaang! Baaaaang-
The white threads struck down to imprison the stadium.
Ruuuumble-
The dark red cloud was created, but after that, the user was running out of the stadium as he continued to film.
– Holy shit! This is so dope.
Many emotions were visible in the user’s comments.
Cale then looked at the comments below.
===================
– Wow. You are amazing for filming this. Well, it looks like an illegal feed if you ask me.
– Yeah yeah, you are not allowed to record the Strongest Under the Heavens Competition.
– Even people the Transparent © give permission to do that?
– Yeah yeah, there are no official ones either.
– Oh this motherfucker. Everybody else is running away but he’s staying as long as possible to record it. Tsk tsk.
– You are also amazing for coming to see such a vid.
– Do you want to get fucked up?
– Oo oo.
===================
“Oh.”
Cale made a comment while looking at the video.
“I'm relieved. Choi Han and my face are not visible.”
Everybody had left the stadium before the masked Cale or Choi Han appeared to fight So Hee.
The people who saw Cale, Choi Han, and Alberu were the people who remained with the Queen until the end.
Furthermore, Cale and Choi Han had already changed their hair colors.
People shouldn't recognize them from a distance.
“The Heavenly Demon's face is known but that shouldn’t matter since his face was already known.”
“What about me?”
Alberu smiled and asked, making Cale smile back.
“As for you, your highness, wouldn't it be best to show your face every so often for the future? You are the future hero accepted by the sun.”
“…….”
Hero. That word made Alberu look unsettled.
He still didn't seem to like that word.
‘How rare.’
He openly wanted the position of Emperor but did not want to be a hero.
‘I don't want either.’
Neither Emperor nor hero made Cale’s heart thump.
Only-
‘Slacker.’
Only that one word made Cale's heart thump wildly.
Cale leaned against the couch.
“Our info should have been sent to the Five Colors Bloods.”
Alberu answered as if he understood.
"The video went down.”
“Already?”
“I'm sure the Transparents took it down.”
The Transparent © had the video taken down.
The meaning behind this was simple.
“The Transparent Bloods are going to be looking for us.”
“I'm sure they will look for the Heavenly Demon the most since his face is known. What do you think?”
At Cale’s question, the Heavenly Demon, who was seated in lotus position, opened his mouth.
“It doesn’t matter.”
Whether it was the Transparent Bloods or the wanderers… The Heavenly Demon didn’t care who looked for him.
“I do not plan on staying here for the time being.”
The Heavenly Demon was a mid-level NPC .
Once all things were resolved, he would disappear from the Lan Kingdom.
“There is something for me to confirm in the Demon Cult.”
He planned on going back to the Demon Cult to settle his new power and train.
The Heavenly Demon should be much stronger by the time he appears again in New World.
‘And the Demon Cult as well.’
The Demon Cult that would be running even wilder under their sky would be with him.
“Mm. Heavenly Demon-nim?”
Alberu awkwardly called out to the Heavenly Demon.
“What is it sir?”
The Heavenly Demon also showed his respect by speaking a bit formally to Alberu.
Alberu smiled brightly at the Heavenly Demon who had his eyes closed.
“If I create an Empire here, what do you think about creating a home for the Demon Cult on my territory?”
The Heavenly Demon slowly opened his eyes.
“…….”
He stared at the smiling Alberu and chuckled.
“As expected of Kim Hae-il's hyung-nim.”
He then closed his eyes.
“I will think about it.”
“I hope those thoughts end up in a positive direction.”
Cale looked back and forth at Alberu and the Heavenly Demon and then shook his head.
He couldn’t believe that neither of them questioned whether Alberu could even create an Empire.
“What is it?”
Alberu elegantly smiled as if he was very happy and asked Cale, who smiled back.
“Nothing, your highness. It isn't much. I just thought that the friendship between the two of you is very beautiful.”
“Tsk.”
Both Alberu and the Heavenly Demon clicked their tongues and looked away from Cale.
Knock knock knock.
Someone knocked at that moment and Choi Han opened the door.
He immediately informed Cale.
“The Martial Scholar has arrived.”
The once again bamboo hat-wearing Choi Han's comment made the three of them get up.
They then split into two groups of two.
“Choi Han.”
Cale walked over to Choi Han’s side. The Heavenly Demon was standing next to Choi Han.
“I leave it to you.”
The Heavenly Demon laughed and answered.
“Interrogation is my specialty. But you are not asking me to do it?
Ah.”
He gasped as if he understood what Cale meant and spoke peacefully to Choi Han.
“Don’t let her die until I interrogate her. It would be bad if she died.”
Smile.
The Heavenly Demon smiled and Choi Han awkwardly shook his head.
“Of course.”
He then looked right into Cale's eyes.
“Please don’t worry, Cale-nim. I’ll go find out as much as possible.”
The Heavenly Demon and Choi Han…
The two of them would go into the deepest underground prison in the Lan Kingdom to face So Hee.
The two of them should be good to get information from So Hee.
The Queen’s instructor, Cha Run, opened his mouth.
“Please follow this person here.”
An attendant bowed toward Choi Han and the Heavenly Demon.
The three of them left and Cale motioned to Alberu, who was naturally standing next to him, and then addressed Cha Run.
“Could you please lead the way?”
“Yes, Right this way.”
Cha Run started to walk to a spot in the palace that was stealthy for a different reason than the underground prison.
* * *
“Thank you for making time despite it being so busy.”
Cale smiled and took a sip of his tea.
The deep yet savory taste made his mouth feel good.
“Yes, it is quite rowdy right now. It’s been a while since it has been this rowdy since I became Queen.”
Queen Tamahi also took a sip of tea and happily responded.
The Lan Kingdom's capital was quite rowdy right now.
All sorts of talk was spreading because of what happened in the stadium.
The Strongest Under the Heavens Competition to determine the heir was temporarily halted.
The Cooperative Alliance, one of the five major forces, was being scorched.
Despite being the largest of the five major forces and having the most martial artists, they were not able to defeat the royal family.
Furthermore, the other four major forces were cooperating with the royal family.
"So- can you tell me what is going on, mister?”
Queen Tamahi was being respectful to Cale to some degree.
She did so while smiling.
However, a chill could be felt beneath her smile.
“Mm.”
Cale shrugged his shoulders for a bit as if he was thinking before looking at the Queen.
“Do you know the Blood Demon?”
“…….”
The Queen did not answer.
However, Cale did not miss her shaking pupils.
“Ah, maybe you know her as Bluey here?”
The Blood Demon, the leader of the Blue Bloods.
She was the fourth ranked user in RPOG named Bluey.
“Mm.”
The Queen groaned.
“Who was the next heir before this competition?”
The Queen let out a despondent smile at Cale’s continued question.
“I think you already know. Why are you asking?”
This was basically admitting that the Blood Demon had been the next heir.
Cale nonchalantly informed her.
“Bluey disappeared, right?”
“…That-”
“We killed her.”
“!”
The tea in the Queen’s cup was shaking.
“You know about the wanderers, right?”
Cale continued to throw questions.
The Queen looked at him and clenched her eyes shut.
“I didn’t know about So Hee.”
“But you do know other wanderers. Were you being threatened by them?”
“I was just a scarecrow.”
It wasn’t a long conversation, but he could guess the story.
And this was enough for Cale.
So he asked this question.
"Are you trying to get out of their grasp?”
“That is the plan. However, it is not easy.”
Cale stared at the sadly commenting Queen Tamahi and asked.
“Is it because of the Prince Consort?”
“!”
Tamahi was finally unable to hide her shock and it clearly showed.
“That-”
“The Prince Consort should be a believer of a certain god.”
“-!”
“He should also be cooperating with the wanderers.”
“Ho-”
Cale did not beat around the bush to the shocked Queen.
“I wish to meet the Prince Consort.”
“…So you really didn't care about the heir position.”
“Yes, your majesty. We participated because we wish to meet the Prince Consort.”
“…What do you plan on doing once you meet the Prince Consort?”
Cale smiled at Tamahi's question.
“No matter what it is, I promise it would be beneficial to his Royal Highness.”
She took a sip of tea instead of responding to him.
She needed to calm herself down first.
The Blood Demon.
The Wanderers.
The Prince Consort.
She never expected all those terms to come out of this person's mouth.
She needed to organize her thoughts.
That was why she asked the first thing she needed to know.
“Who are you all?”
The identity of these people.
She didn’t even know that.
“We-”
Cale looked at Alberu, who was leisurely sipping tea next to him, then looked back at the Queen and answered.
"We are an alliance.”
“…An Alliance?”
“I am from the Kingdom of Darkness.”
Cale pointed toward Alberu.
“This sir is someone who will become the king of a different place.”
Well, it would be an Emperor and not a king…
And he still didn't have a territory to claim yet…
But either way, he was a future Emperor.
“W, what do you mean by that?”
Queen Tamahi was unable to hide her shock for the first time and stuttered.
“Haha, it is exactly as I said, your Majesty.”
Cale was smiling like he was a good person.
Alberu, who was leisurely drinking tea and watching, thought to himself.
‘I should just stay quiet.’
There was no harm if he just stayed quiet when his dongsaeng was doing something like this.
And-
‘It is beneficial to me.’
Alberu didn't reveal the truth since Cale was already taking care of turning him into a king.
Raon would say that both of them were the same if he was looking at them, but both Cale and Alberu were serious.
Seeing the two of them looking serious made Queen Tamahi slowly open her mouth again.
“…The Kingdom of Darkness… And this sir is a King……?”
“Yes, your majesty. That is correct!”
Cale responded cheerfully before delivering his request.
“I wish to slowly discuss the details after meeting with the Prince Consort first. Ah. But you should at least know this, your Majesty!”
The Prince Consort. He needed to meet the Queen’s husband to quickly finish this quest.
The Wanderers.
Those bastards should think that they are subordinates of the God of Chaos after receiving So Hee's report.
Cale needed the Saint’s power for ‘Arm’ to officially start its actions.
He also needed to save Choi Jung Gun.
“…Something I should know?”
“Yes, your majesty. Something you should know!”
Cale spoke efficiently and cheerfully.
“We are working together with the hero of the sun who will save New World! And the Kingdom of Darkness is taking action in order to save this world! Haha!”
"Pfffft-"
Alberu, who had been elegantly enjoying his tea, spit out the tea in his mouth.
A few moments later, Cale headed with the Queen, whose mind was in quite the chaos, to meet the Prince Consort in the deepest spot in the palace.
Of course, he ignored the flabbergasted Alberu’s gaze.
