Chapter 1186 — Book 2: Chapter 383: I'm sure it was not enough (8)

“Hahaha-”
The laughing Alberu…
“Cough.”
And the stoic Cale, who was still wiping the now much less but still flowing blood around his mouth.
“…….”
The Virtual Reality world of New World…
Queen Tamahi of one of the three strongest nations in this vast virtual world, the Lan Kingdom, could not say anything.
She could only blankly stare at the two of them.
"What is it, your highness?”
Alberu would normally have cared about who was watching, but…
Alberu, who was happy for some reason, and well, since Alberu had acted a bit more relaxed in this game from the beginning…
“You are still the same.”
He said that and opened up his arms as he approached Cale.
The first time.
Yes, just like the first time the Indestructible Shield appeared in the Roan Kingdom’s capital and saved everybody from Arm’s magic bombs…
Alberu repeated the actions he did after that incident, something he had not done for a long time.
‘What is up with him?’
Cale felt extremely disgruntled, seeing Alberu approaching him with his arms opened wide.
Why?
‘Why is he smiling like that?’
Because Alberu was smiling as if he was truly happy.
Cale felt uneasy and tried to back away, but… Unfortunately, Cale’s physical abilities had lessened since young Master Silver Shield first appeared in this world while Alberu’s physical abilities had grown.
"… What is it, your highness?”
“Hahaha!”
Alberu and Cale ended up sharing a light hug.
Pat pat.
Alberu’s hand was slightly shaking as he patted Cale's back.
‘Mm.’
Cale could not push Alberu away because he knew this.
‘I suppose he did push himself a bit too much.’
Alberu was skilled in magic, but he could not consider Alberu to be at Raon, no, at Rosalyn’s level.
Alberu was just talented compared to normal people.
He was not able to surpass his limits.
Such a person doing his best to release as much mana as Raon should have burdened his body.
His hand was probably shaking from the aftershock.
“Tsk.”
Cale quietly let out a sigh and moved away from the hug, while still being considerate of Alberu.
"Should I support you, your highness?”
Cale could see that Alberu’s face instantly turned sour.
“You support me?”
Seeing the look of disbelief on Alberu's face made Cale feel disgruntled as well.
As for Queen Tamahi, who had watched all of this…
“Your Majesty-”
She rejected the hands of the martial artists who came to support her and slowly got up.
Her gaze was still directed at Cale and Alberu.
“…….”
She could not hear what they were saying.
She could listen if she used her internal ki, but she did not wish to do that.
Just seeing the two of them affectionately sharing a hug and chatting…
With the sun-like light and silver light both gone…
With Sir Hin Pao gone…
At the empty beach…
She could only look at the two people standing there.
The Queen subconsciously opened her mouth.
“…Hero-”
Cale had said something to the Queen.
‘We are working together with the hero of the sun who will save New World! And the Kingdom of Darkness is taking action in order to save this world! Haha!’
Of course, Cale had said that he would explain things in detail after meeting with the Prince Consort.
But Queen Tamahi realized it at this moment.
‘Between the two of them-’
One of them is definitely the hero.
And in the fairytales, these heroes always had by their side-
“…Allies.”
Extremely talented and righteous allies.
The three strong.
The term used to describe the Eastern and Western Empires and the Lan Kingdom…
Tamahi had started to feel embarrassed by that term and even started loathing that title at some point.
The wanderers.
When they appeared, she learned that there were truly strong individuals.
Strong individuals who did not usually reveal themselves in this world existed, and that group was trying to swallow up this land.
“…Darkness can only exist when there is light-”
Yes.
The wanderers.
If they are the darkness of this land, shouldn’t there be light as well?
How could the order of this world only lean to one side?
‘No.’
The Queen shook her head.
‘The Kingdom of Darkness?’
The existence of a kingdom that Tamahi had never heard of.
‘I am from the Kingdom of Darkness.’
‘This sir is someone who will become the king of a different place.’
Furthermore, the other one was someone who would soon become king. That meant that another kingdom existed as well.
Two kingdoms that are not recorded in any of the histories of the nations on this land were trying to fight against a group consisting of wanderers and even gods.
In order to save this world.
“Ha-”
She subconsciously scoffed.
There was a faint sense of joy and overwhelm within that scoff.
“…This is not the end but just the beginning.”
Queen Tamahi looked at Cale and Alberu, who were calmly chatting with each other, and thought to herself.
“It was lacking.”
The words that Cale had said toward Sir Hin Pao who was crying about whether his faith was lacking and why the god had cast him away…
Tamahi was understanding those words slightly differently now.
The Lan Kingdom, which had been swaying left and right from the influence of the wanderers…
Because she was weak…
Because she thought it would be difficult to defeat them…
She had been laying low for a long time and barely managed to start this crown prince selection tournament to look for an opportunity to strike back.
How big had the sorrows and pain inside her heart been until now?
She had been anxious that the internal affairs of the Lan Kingdom would be found out by the citizens or even other kingdoms.
As one of the three strongs, the Lan Kingdom could not show a weakness like that.
But now, she changed her way of thinking.
The Lan Kingdom was not enough to fight against the wanderers.
“It is just that we truly were lacking.”
They were just weak.
And that weakness-
“Can be filled.”
She saw a reliable shield that could do that today.
She slowly approached Cale and Alberu.
She had not heard the details from Cale yet, but she could see the general picture now.
She at least knew how to differentiate between her allies and enemies.
It was clear who was more beneficial to them and who was doing this with pure intentions.
“Ah. Are you okay, your Majesty?”
Cale asked her if she was okay despite the blood around his mouth.
Queen Tamahi looked at him for a moment and asked.
“Can we be with you?”
“Excuse me?”
Cale looked confused but Tamahi continued to say what she needed to say.
Today, the Lan Kingdom-
“That alliance that the Kingdom of Darkness is a part of…”
Needed to grasp this opportunity to walk down a new path.
“The Lan Kingdom wishes to join you.”
The Lan Kingdom would become even stronger because of this opportunity.
“We will fill where we are lacking… So I hope you can give us a chance to get stronger, a chance to join you.”
She will be able to protect the Lan Kingdom.
She knew she was weak, but the Queen of the Lan Kingdom confidently continued.
"Will you give us that opportunity?”
As for Cale…
‘Oh.
What a jackpot?’
“Opportunity always has a way of finding the ones who desire it.”
Cale calmly commented before shaking Queen Tamahi’s hand.
He then continued.
“If the Lan Kingdom can be with us, it will be a great boost.”
Smile.
Cale put a good-natured smile on his face.
Smile.
Alberu smiled elegantly as well.
‘As expected.’
Queen Tamahi became certain.
‘These two people were amazing people.’
A kingdom wished to join an alliance.
The two people in front of her made a decision about it immediately.
What would that mean?
‘The leader.’
It meant that the leader of the alliance was here, and that leader-
‘He holds omnipotent power of decision.’
And that person-
‘The black-haired man.’
It was Cale Henituse.
‘That should mean that this blonde man-’
Probably.
‘He should be the hero.’
The hero of the sun.
‘He definitely has some connections to the Sun god.’
Queen Tamahi's gaze turned deep.
She realized that she was now escaping out of the dark swamp known as the wanderers and the God of Chaos to rise up to the surface and see the refreshing sky.
Smile.
Tamahi smiled.
Cale and Alberu were also still smiling.
– Cale.
The Scary Giant Cobblestone slowly started talking to Cale.
– But doesn't this queen not know that the Kingdom of Darkness is from the Eight Evils?
– And the crown prince doesn’t have a territory to rule right now. You just said he is someone who will become king in the future.
– Then aren't we actually an alliance without anything?
‘Be quiet.’
Cale ignored the Super Rock.
He then peeked at Alberu.
Alberu’s gaze as he stood there with a warm smile on his face was telling him something.
‘We will proceed like this for now.’
Why?
It was a good thing to have one of the three strongs as their ally.
“Haha-”
Cale laughed.
“Hahaha!”
Alberu also laughed.
“Haha-”
Queen Tamahi laughed too.
And just like that, the silver shield that appeared in the Lan Kingdom became etched into the minds of the Queen's closest confidants who were here today.
But the effect it had on the Lan Kingdom may be even greater than the aftershock of So Hee's fight against the Heavenly Demon.
A few days later.
===================
< Holy shit! Breaking news breaking news!>
===================
A single piece of information started to spread on the RPOG user community, causing chaos.
===================
< Apparently the Lan Kingdom is closing? >
The content is exactly as the title says.
– The kingdom is closing? What are you saying?
– Stopping all diplomatic activity.
Queen entering closed door training.
Heir selection paused.
– Hmm? Stopping diplomatic activities?
– Queen going into closed door training? All of a sudden? Did something happen? What is going on in the Lan Kingdom these days?
===================
This was similar to a sect sealing its doors in the Martial Arts world.
An endless seal without any set expiration date.
But that was not all.
===================
– It is not just the kingdom doing that. The Sky Sword, the Dark Pulse, and the rest of the five major forces (minus the Cooperative Alliance) are all sealing their doors.
– Holy shit. All of them are doing that? Then doesn’t that mean that users won't have anything to do in the Lan Kingdom anymore?
– No no. That’s not the case.
The five major forces are supposedly gathering an extremely large number of guards. Foreigners (users) or those from other nations are all allowed. They said anybody can apply whether they are veterans or rookies. They will support you for the entire training.
– Oh. Then maybe I should change to being a guard? I don’t have any money so maybe it is worth trying since it is free?
– Hey hey, then doesn't that mean that the four major forces are not sealing their doors?
– I don’t know. They said they are pausing all external activities.
===================
The users felt chaotic.
However, some of them wished to find out the hidden reason behind these actions.
===================
– So basically…
The Palace itself has sealed its doors.
But the four major forces claim to have sealed their doors while accepting new guards they are willing to fully support until the end of their training?
– If they seal their doors and have stopped all external activities, they should have no source of income. But they want to train a large number of new guards?
===================
They then figured it out.
===================
– This is 100% not the will of the four major forces.
– Y y. This is clearly the kingdom's wishes.
===================
The Lan Kingdom was clearly moving with a goal right now.
It was such a large goal that the four major forces were willing to follow them without any issues.
===================
– Then doesn’t that mean that the Lan Kingdom is currently recruiting a significant number of guards? They are spending the kingdom’s money to do so.
– Something like that.
===================
And people could only come to a single conclusion.
===================
– …Is the Lan Kingdom preparing for war?
===================
War.
One of the three strongs of New World was preparing for war.
This was enough to excite the entire RPOG user community.
===================
– War seems to be right.
They claim to seal their doors but that seems to be the hidden truth. Other kingdoms may hinder them if they openly increased the number of soldiers. That’s probably why they are doing it like this.
– … Holy shit. Then are we finally getting a war?
===================
People were cheering that large changes were happening throughout RPOG as a result of ‘The Great First Step’ update.
There had been no war between nations until now.
However, a few of them had another question.
===================
– But who is the Lan Kingdom planning on fighting?
===================
They could not figure out the Lan Kingdom's enemy.
Most of the users answered like this.
===================
– No clue. Guess we will find out later.
===================
They would eventually find out.
As the users and everybody inside the RPOG Virtual Reality world focused on the incident at the Lan Kingdom…
“You mean, ‘The Night of the Beginning,’ the holy land of the God of Chaos, is in the Devil’s Boundary?”
Cale nodded his head.
He was currently staying in a hidden safehouse deep within the Lan Kingdom.
The Guide, Sir Hin Pao. The map of The Night of the Beginning he found in his memories…
That path was headed toward the Devil’s Boundary.
“Yes, your highness. You stayed in the Devil’s Boundary, didn’t you?”
“Yeah.”
“Then you should know it well. Could you please lead the way?”
Alberu was at a loss for words at Cale’s shameless request.
“By the way, what kind of place is the Devil’s Boundary, your highness?”
Rosalyn answered Choi Han's question.
She repeated the words Alberu had told her in the past.
"A place full of weak and trashy things.”
As Choi Han subtly frowned…
Rosalyn continued to speak.
"But I don’t see it that way.”
Rosalyn pointed at Alberu as Choi Han’s eyes clouded over.
“That is also the place our highness is trying to build his Empire.”
“Hoooo.”
The Heavenly Demon showed interest and looked at Alberu before asking Cale.
"When are we heading there?”
Cale answered with a serious look on his face.
“I'm not sure. I do plan on going as quickly as possible, but…”
He then asked Rosalyn.
“Did Raon contact us?”
Eden Miru.
Cale was currently not getting any information about that punk’s hatching.
“I think I need to go and see what is going on.”
Whether it was The Night of the Beginning… Or the God of Chaos…
It seemed as if he needed to go see the children averaging ten-years-old and Eden Miru.
