Chapter 1697 — Chapter 1697 The Sibling's Deathmatch

After being teleported, Long Yejun found himself inside a secluded dimension that was created solely for the Dragon God Festival. He didn't waste any time looking at the void and searched for his opponent.

However, he instinctively knew who he had been matched against after sensing her tyrannical presence.

"Elder sister." Long Yejun muttered in a calm voice after confirming that his opponent was Long Wu Qing.

He had already mentally prepared himself to fight Long Wu Qing, so he didn't act surprised. As a matter of fact, he had spent the past month preparing to fight Long Wu Qing.

"Why am I not surprised, little brother?" Long Wu Qing suddenly spoke. "Is this fate, or is this father's desire?"

There was a chance the Dragon God had purposefully matched them together. However, they had no proof.

"Either way, it doesn't matter. I have been prepared to fight you since I decided to participate in the Dragon God Festival," said Long Yejun.

"Really? It doesn't look that way." A cold smile crept on Long Wu Qing's face as her fierce eyes glared at Long Yejun's left arm, which had been trembling nonstop for some time now.

"!!!" Long Yejun was surprised when he looked at his arm. He wasn't aware that he had been trembling until Long Wu Qing mentioned it.

He hastily grabbed his left arm with his right, forcing it to stop trembling.

"Hahaha!" Long Wu Qing couldn't help but laugh at his reaction.

In response, Long Yejun released a deafening roar as he transformed into a blue and white dragon.

"What's the rush, little brother? I have a whole month to kill you, so there's plenty of time to play. However, if you wish a swift death, I can also make that happen."

"Screw you!" Long Yejun cursed before launching a quick Dragon's Breath at her.

However, Long Wu Qing casually flung it away with a swatting motion. "At least you've become bolder than before. Or maybe it's because you know you are going to die soon?" Long Wu Qing treated Long Yejun as a joke.

As infuriated as Long Yejun was, he knew that Long Wu Qing had the power to back up her arrogance.

"Here, I'll lower my cultivation a little more for you." Long Wu Qing's cultivation base suddenly dropped from the peak of Chaotic Command to the peak of Chaotic Master, dropping an entire realm.

Her actions were incredibly arrogant and the ultimate mockery to her opponent. However, Long Yejun wasn't offended. If anything, he saw this as his chance.

'I knew you'd do something like this! Your arrogance will be your downfall!' Long Yejun smiled inwardly as he prepared to launch a full-scale attack on her.

After throwing a few more weak attacks at her, Long Yejun unleashed his most powerful technique, utilizing all of his chaotic essence.

When facing a monster like Long Wu Qing, a prolonged fight would inevitably end in defeat. There was only one way to stand a chance against someone like her—a swift and sudden attack that exploited her weakness: her arrogance. Her tendency to underestimate her opponents could be her downfall if timed correctly.

Unfortunately, Long Yejun miscalculated one thing—the true extent of Long Wu Qing's overwhelming power.

Even without transforming, Long Wu Qing easily defended against the strongest attack Long Yejun could muster with his suppressed cultivation.

"Did you think I was underestimating you?" Long Wu Qing spoke after seeing the look of disbelief on his face.

"It's the opposite, little brother. I lowered my cultivation because I know exactly what you're capable of—that you'd still not be able to defeat me."

"You fucking monster…" Long Yejun muttered.

Long Wu QIng's eyebrows twitched, and she scolded, "Just because you're about to die doesn't mean I'll let you say whatever you want."

For the next few hours, Long Wu Qing would launch an endless assault on Long Yejun, beating him left and right.

Despite Long Yejun's attempt to fight back, Long Wu Qing was too overpowering for him to do anything.

'Damn it! If only our cultivation wasn't restricted this much… No… even if the limit was higher, the results would have remained the same…' Long Yejun sighed inwardly, accepting the results—his defeat.

"Giving up already? This is why I always mess with you." Long Wu Qing looked at him with a disdainful gaze after seeing his state, and she increased the intensity of her attacks.

"You give up too quickly. You never push yourself past your limit, and you have a habit of running away from your problems. You're a disgrace to the Dragon God's bloodline."

Long Wu Qing's words ignited a fire in Long Yejun's heart, and he released a vicious roar.

"I know I can't defeat you, but I will survive for a month, and then the both of us will perish together!"

Long Wu Qing merely laughed at his plan, showing no signs of concern. She knew that she could defeat him whenever she wanted, after all.

A few hours later, Long Wu Qing sighed, "Seeing you struggling like this isn't fun at all. I'd rather go watch that human's performance than beat a corpse like you any longer. Any last words?"

"..."

Long Yejun didn't respond. His body hovered in the void like a lifeless corpse, but he wasn't dead just yet.

"Is that so? I hope you said your goodbyes to your human friend, at the very least."

"He's… not a… friend…" Long Yejun suddenly muttered. "He's my… brother."

"I'll consider those your final words." Without saying another word, Long Wu Qing unleashed a devastating attack at Long Yejun, far more powerful than anything she had displayed so far. "This is your last chance to intervene, father." Long Wu Qing muttered in a low voice as the attack enveloped Long Yejun's figure.

However, the Dragon God did not respond, and Long Yejun's body was obliterated, disintegrating completely under the overwhelming power of Long Wu Qing's attack.

Long Wu Qing found herself back in the Divine Dragon Sanctuary shortly after.
