Chapter 1079 — Book 2: Chapter 276: The night after the sunset (6)

Caw, caw.
The first to react to Cale’s aura were the crows that were covering the sky.
Lock’s face lit up after looking up after hearing their cawing.
“Ah!”
‘That’s a relief.’
He immediately had that thought.
Cale Henituse.
Seeing this person made the anxiety in Lock’s heart calm down a bit.
‘Is this what a true leader is like?’
Lock suddenly thought about this role of a leader before flinching.
“A, aaaaaaaaaah-!”
The Beast people were screaming even louder all around him.
Their eyes slowly turned red and the whites of their eyes became dyed black.
Anybody would be able to tell that they did not look normal.
Most of the predatory Beast people looked that way and their fur or claws would suddenly grow as they increased in size.
This was not the typical change of a berserk transformation. If he had to compare, this reminded him of his first berserk transformation.
‘It looks more painful than that.’
Lock scowled.
“Uggggh, ahhhhh!”
Wolf tribe leader Ansen, who had been living here… Lock’s heart started beating wildly again after hearing him scream.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
He also heard someone’s angry shout.
“You dare, you dare to do something like this to us!”
He turned his head. No, he looked up.
The White Snake, who was almost the size of an adult Dragon, had lifted her body up as she roared in anger.
The area around her was scorched by the green poison she had spread.
“Fire!”
“Attack!”
Mages and archers continued their attacks on her but the White Snake paid them no attention.
“Ryan-!”
She moved toward Ryan's direction.
Lock did not have the time to keep watching her.
“Lock-nim!”
Tribe leader Nia, who had come with them from Snow Village, shouted for him in an urgent voice.
Nia and Koukan did not know what to do while looking at the Wolves.
“Grr-!”
As Ansen’s scream became more like an animal's growl…
Hooooooooooowl—-
They heard an animal howl nearby.
As the red sky became darker…
While the star light was still faint…
Animals started coming over the castle wall.
They all had red pupils with the whites of their eyes dyed black.
‘They’ve been dominated by Ryan.’
Lock immediately realized what was going on.
He then thought about what he could do right now.
“Let’s suppress them for now!”
Nia and Koukan were about to respond before they flinched.
“Ah.”
Lock sighed after seeing them.
Nia and Koukan could not go berserk properly.
Nia lost her sense of reason when she went berserk while Koukan would be lacking the strength to suppress them even if he went berserk.
“I’ll do it!”
He then added on.
“It will be resolved soon.”
‘Young master Cale-nim will do something.’
That was a small yet firm belief in Lock’s mind.
“Lock, I’ll help too!”
Archie, who had been running wild saying Ryan's name, came over to help him.
Tigers, other Beast people from Cale's group, and the Dark Elf Warriors were already suppressing the roaring Beast people.
“Please step back because it is dangerous!”
Lock informed Nia and Koukan before grabbing tribe leader Ansen's arm and shoulder.
It was to suppress him.
‘!’
He flinched as he did that.
It was because he saw the look on Nia’s face as she withdrew.
Lock could accurately tell the emotions visible in her eyes.
‘Frustration.’
And…
‘A sense of helplessness.’
Lock knew this ever too well because he had experienced them at one point as well.
He instantly understood Nia’s situation.
‘She’s the tribe leader.’
The Wolves of the Archduke's House of Snow…
The tribe leader of the tribe that hid in the mountains and barely survived.
Nia was still young.
However, she was in a position to be responsible for something.
It was the reason she wanted to follow after Lock and become a bit stronger.
This current situation naturally made her feel a sense of helplessness.
‘… But.
Is there anything I can say to her?’
‘There’s nothing.’
He wanted to help but he could not think of how to do that.
Lock simply remembered her gaze as he did what he had to do.
“I'm sorry Mr. Ansen.”
He then pulled at Ansen’s shoulder and slammed him against the ground.
Boom!
“Grrrrrr!”
Ansen's voice sounded both hurt and angry.
Lock calmly suppressed him and looked through Ansen’s body.
‘I need to find it.’
He was sure that there was a reason this happened to the Beast people and the animals.
The information he heard about Ryan’s attributes did not say he was this strong.
"What the hell did he do?!”
Lock scowled after hearing Archie shout.
‘There's nothing!’
There were no traces of anything on the body.
He wondered if there was a mark or anything but there was nothing.
‘What do I do?’
Lock's eyes filled with a sense of urgency when he made eye contact with Ansen.
His eyes would soon turn red.
Those eyes looked right at Lock.
‘Ah
Ansen still has his sense of reason.’
Lock realized it.
He could also see the sorrow in Ansen’s eyes.
Bop, bop.
Ansen barely managed to open his mouth.
“…My will, ah-”
Bop.
His mouth opened and closed without any sounds.
“Grrrrrr-!”
He growled again as if he lost his sense of reason.
The words that the tribe leader barely managed to say…
“This is not my will.’
He had lost control over his body right now.
This was not a berserk transformation.
A Beast person could lose their sense of reason and show the instincts of a wild beast during their first berserk transformation, but this was clearly someone being controlled.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Lock felt his heart beating and raised his head.
He made eye contact with Archie.
“What is it?”
Archie subconsciously flinched at Lock’s gaze before asking.
The timid Wolf…
This was the first time Archie cowered at a gaze from this guy.
‘This guy’s eyes have gone a bit crazy.’
It made him think of young master Cale, no, of Witira.
At least when they were up to no good. It was like them at those times.
“Could you please suppress them?”
Lock left things for Archie and started to move.
He then immediately kicked off the ground.
He turned his body that was heading away from the castle and headed inside.
He pushed through the chaos as he moved forward.
He then looked around.
‘I knew it!’
Witira, the White Snake, Gashan…
They were heading toward the center of the castle, the plaza with the stage.
They had realized it.
The fundamental piece to resolve this situation was Ryan.
They also knew that this was not something to just leave for Cale either.
“Lock, be careful!”
He heard one of the Tiger Misters calling out to him.
“Hey, we will take care of the wild beasts.”
Not only the berserk Beast people but also the riled up wild beasts trying to get into the castle.
The Tiger warriors and others were telling him to trust them and to leave it to them.
He just had to have faith as they said they would take care of it.
‘In return, I-’
Lock pushed forward toward the center of the battlefield, the spot where Eruhaben’s golden dust was shooting up.
As things got darker around him with the arrival of the night, the blue in Lock’s silver fur sparkled as if blue light was surrounding him.
Lock had no idea about this because he had never fought at night before.
Lock also did not realize that the Beast people were all looking at him. What mattered to him right now was to get the Beast people out of these painful berserk transformations.
It was at that moment.
“Ha, haha!”
Lock started laughing.
He felt as if he understood why Choi Han laughed like this from time to time.
‘Yeah, Choi Han hyung had faith too.’
He had faith in the others, which always allowed him to push forward like this.
“Ugh!”
Ryan suddenly groaned.
There was a heavy aura surrounding Ryan's large castle.
“Haha!”
‘Young master Cale-nim has made his move.’
Lock suddenly felt as if he was not scared of anything.
He found it funny he felt this way, but what could be done?
That was how big Cale’s existence was in his mind.
Choi Han was hyung, Rosalyn was noona.
Gashan was grandpa and Raon was his dongsaeng.
As for Cale, he was like an uncle, or even-
‘Yeah.’
He was like a father.
It was weird.
Despite them being close in age, Cale praising him or approving of him made Lock more emotional than anybody else doing the same and it made him feel relaxed.
Cale’s back looked bigger than anybody else’s back to Lock.
It could not be helped.
Cale could not help it either.
– Hmph. Domination? What fucking nonsense.
The Dominating Aura was oddly angry.
– Based on what I know, there is no God of Domination. But this shitty thing calls this Domination? Hmph.
‘What is up with this guy?’
– Let’s only use half of our strength for now.
Cale listened and only used half of his Dominating Aura.
Swoooooooosh-
He rode the wind and stood on the stage.
Ryan had been looking at him since earlier.
‘Who is this human?’
His gaze held such a question as he looked on with vigilance.
He was not looking down on Cale.
That alone was enough to accept that Ryan was skilled.
However, his gaze could not continue for a long time.
As the half-powered Dominating Aura focused only on him…
“Ugh!”
Ryan’s shoulders flailed significantly as he groaned.
But he soon stood up straight.
“Ha, haha-”
He started laughing.
– Oho.
The Dominating Aura was surprised.
– I guess he needs to live up to his position as second in command? I guess he really is aiming for the spot of a god?
Ryan started to speak.
When I heard that Kendall and even Cisco lost to a human… I did not believe it.”
He looked toward Eruhaben in the air.
“I thought it was this old guy who had run wild.”
Ryan gently moved his neck and loosened his muscles.
“‘Xiaolen, Central Plains… You must be responsible for all of that.”
Ryan was about the size of berserk Lock.
He gently loosened the muscles of his hands and feet as well.
Prick prick.
He felt the aura trying to push him down but he cast away as much of it as possible.
‘Dragon Lord.’
How long had he lived in silence trying to get over the Dragon in that position?
His aura was that of a god.
He had kept his head down under the Dragon Lord’s domination for a long time in order to become greater than a god, to resist against a god.
It was now time to get out of his control and be in control.
The preparations for it had finished and there was only one stage left.
“This won’t be easy.’
Ryan looked at Cale, who was standing at the edge of the stage, and mumbled to himself.
“It really won’t be easy.”
The red-haired man.
He definitely looked human but he was no easy opponent.
“You are carrying nature within you.”
Cale's eyes clouded over.
– Hoo. He can notice that as well?
The Dominating Aura was amazed.
Of all the dragons Cale had seen in this world, Ryan had been the only one to get even close to finding out about Cale.
“There is nature, you also have the aura of domination. But that's not all.”
Ryan shook his head before Cale asked a question that came to his mind.
“If that’s not all, what else is there?”
“The foundation of this world.”
Cale's eyes opened wide.
Ryan scoffed.
“You seem to have met once with the foundation.”
He pointed toward the White Snake as well.
“That half-assed snake bitch too. She's touched the foundation as well. Just like that Elf Guardian.”
Cale flinched.
He was not the only one. Eruhaben’s eyes opened wide as well.
Tap.
He also landed on the stage and faced off against Ryan.
Cale-Ryan-Eruhaben.
The three of them formed a triangle.
"What's wrong?”
Ryan chuckled again at Cale and Eruhaben's shocked faces.
“Did you really think I had no idea about what was going on here on my land as well as under it?
Ah.”
Ryan gasped before adding on.
“I have been a bit busy these days so I honestly did not realize you guys snuck in. That’s why I had to deal with this painful setback.”
‘Wow.’
Cale was a bit amazed.
He opened his mouth to speak.
“I guess you are a bit smart.”
Ryan shrugged his shoulders.
"Everybody thinks I'm dumb because of my size. How can I dominate others if I'm dumb?”
‘Oh. That is true.’
Cale was wowed while Ryan sighed.
“It won’t be easy.”
He shook his head from side to side.
But he was relaxed.
Overload.
He could pull out one of the many keys in his hands.
Cale spoke at that time as well.
“This won’t be easy.”
Ryan laughed at the human who was saying the same thing.
“Yes, but at least this will be at my level.”
Cale shook his head.
“If you want to fight, I guess we have to fight. It can’t be helped.’”
Ryan nodded his head.
“That’s right.”
The air around him then started to shake.
Oooooo– oooooo–
It sounded like the roar of an animal.
Just like the roars of an animal at night that made people scared about these wild animals attacking them…
The air around Ryan started to roar.
As a deep blue aura started to rise around him…
Baaaaang!
There were no signs before a spell shot out of Ryan's hand and aimed for Cale.
Bang!
But that spell was blocked by a Dragon.
Ancient Dragon Eruhaben.
He had appeared in front of Cale.
“I'll do it.”
The ancient Dragon was smiling but his pride had been significantly hurt.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been treated like an old man.”
However, Eruhaben flinched.
As the debris of the explosion disappeared beyond the shield…
Baaaaang!
Another explosion struck the stage.
Eruhaben heard Cale sigh and then start to speak behind him.
“I said it won’t be easy.”
However, he added on as if he had no choice.
"But what kind of father would maintain their rationality after seeing that?”
Baaaaang!
There was another explosion as Letao launched attack after attack at Ryan with bloodshot eyes.
Eruhaben looked in the same direction as Cale. A small Dragon was next to Raon.
The spots where wings should be were empty for this Dragon.
Eruhaben's eyes raged with flames as soon as he saw that.
There was also another Dragon who was so enraged and had no thoughts of calming down.
Letao. He could not hold back.
“I-”
His whole body was covered in a dark blue aura that resembled flames.
Letao could not speak properly.
He barely, barely managed to get the words out.
“I will definitely kill you.”
Ryan looked like the center of a flame as he stood there surrounded by his blue mana.
Letao charged at him with dark blue mana surrounding him.
Not easy.
Easy.
Such a thing was not important for Letao.
“Tsk.”
Eruhaben clicked his tongue before starting to move again.
“It is the duty of an elder to teach the easy ways.”
Eruhaben mixed with the blue and dark blue manas with white gold dust surrounding him. He resembled a roaring wave as he moved toward the center.
As for Cale,
– Should I purify it?
The cheapskate, who had been silent, asked.
However, someone said something more important.
The Sound of the Wind.
Cale started to smile as the figure obsessed with divine items started speaking.
– Sniff sniff. I smell a divine item somewhere? It smells a bit rotten though.
The Howl of Sunset…
The polluted divine item…
He had to find that first.
