“You dare, to my lair-, you dare to touch my study……!”
“Hooo.”
Cale was amazed.
Epley, who had looked relaxed this whole time… Her eyes basically rolled completely over.
She seemed quite angry.
Cale asked in a confused tone.
“So what?”
‘But seriously, so what?
“This isn’t going to bring back your destroyed lair. Shouldn’t you go check on things?”
Cale sounded very serious while giving her this advice.
“I'm sure you put some protection spells around your lair, but he was overloading and, as you mentioned, the portion of the foundation of this world inside him exploded as well, so… I think all of those protection spells would have been useless. But who knows? Maybe you might be able to salvage a pillow or something if you go take a look?”
‘Wow.’
Raon gasped in amazement.
“Our human truly has achieved enlightenment in the Dao of Taunting people. No, not just people ,but Dragons, and even gods.”
Epley didn’t listen to Raon as she was shaking in anger.
“A mere human dares to do something like this to me? My lair was full of precious things that are worth a thousand times more than your shitty life!”
Cale responded in a relaxed tone.
He shrugged his shoulders as he did so.
“So what?”
“…What?”
Epley, who was scowling in anger and at a loss for words, looked at Cale who asked in a concerned tone once again.
"Shouldn’t you go take a look?”
However, the smile on Cale’s face was wicked.
“Human, you look so cunning right now!”
Cale ignored Raon’s comments as he continued to speak.
“Of course, the real question is whether you will be able to go.”
The Super Rock urgently spoke in Cale’s mind.
– Cale. It will be dangerous if you use any more of your powers. Didn’t you say that the Dragon Lord has destroyed Sichuan in the Central Plains and is headed back? It’ll be bad for you if something happens while you are unconscious.
That was correct.
Cale had no intention of using any more of his power.
But Cale wasn’t the only one here.
Haaaaa, haaaaa.
Epley breathed heavily while looking around.
“…….”
The old Dragon was looking at her.
“Ugh!”
Epley extended her hand after seeing the black mage flying toward her. The black mage moved toward her while trying to get free from Choi Han who was chasing him.
Baaang-!
An air blast appeared and smashed against Choi Han.
“Ugh!”
Bang!
But the mage could no longer fly and had to defend after Choi Han sent a black aura toward him.
Choi Han and Epley…
The black mage positioned in the middle of them…
Chhhhhhhhh-
An odd burning noise came from his wings.
The wings that touched Choi Han's black aura were burning and creating smoke.
“…….”
The black aura slowly disappeared.
Similar to how this wing had broken down Raon and Eruhaben's magic…
Choi Han could not stop scowling.
The black mage and Choi Han looked at each other.
“…….”
Epley looked around.
The black mage was the only ally around her.
Choi Han and Eruhaben…
Others from Cale’s group who kept a distance but surrounded Epley…
Lock, who looked like he had blue flames all around his body…
Cale as well as Raon and Maren next to him…
The other Beast people and Dark Elves…
Epley looked up at the sky after seeing all these people slowly returning toward them.
The night was quite bright.
“Haa.”
She let out a sigh-like laugh.
Resignation was visible on her face.
Eruhaben spoke in a relaxed voice at that moment.
“Don't act all tough when you are just going to run. You will not be able to escape.”
Smile.
A smile appeared on Epley's face.
“How are you going to stop me?”
Ooooooo-
Yellow mana wrapped around her for an instant.
Eruhaben saw it and immediately moved toward her, with white gold dust following his hand to submerge around Epley.
Baaaaang! Baaaaang!
The white gold dust crashed against the yellow mana and turned it into powder.
Ooooooo-
The yellow mana was creating a teleportation magic circle.
But Eruhaben wasn’t giving her the time to complete it.
He was forcing his mana into hers to disturb the creation of the magic circle.
“I'm going to do it too!”
“Me too.”
Baaaaang!
Baaaaang!
Raon and Maren's attacks continued.
“Fuck.”
Epley looked annoyed. The black mage was having trouble dealing with Choi Han and could not help her.
“Why can't that chimera defeat a single sword master?”
The confused Epley wanted to take a good look at Choi Han but did not have the opening to do so.
One ancient Dragon and two young Dragons.
The endless spells coming toward her made things quite complicated for Epley.
“You shitheads!”
Yellow mana swirled even stronger around Epley and tried to push out the other three manas.
It was like a battle of land expansion over a small patch of land.
Epley existed at the center of that territory, and…
“…….”
Eruhaben silently walked in the air as if he was walking on the ground and walked up to her.
It was time to take over her land.
He could see Epley's desperate eyes through the waves of yellow mana.
“Eruhaben-nim!”
It was at that moment.
He heard an urgent voice down below.
Eruhaben got chills on his back the moment he realized it was Choi Jung Soo's voice.
His instinct developed from years of experience was talking to him.
‘Move back!’
He could not approach this Dragon right now.
Eruhaben's body moved back extremely quickly.
Paaaat!
He extended his hand and cast a shield as well.
But the chilling sensation became even worse and the reason for it revealed itself.
In the short instant he moved back…
Something disgusting that was a mix of black and grey burst through the yellow waves.
Was it a sword or a staff?
Maybe an arm or a bone? He could not tell.
Baaaaaang!
That item moved past where Eruhaben had been standing and crashed against his shield.
Craaaaaaack!
Eruhaben saw the shield break so easily before calmly moving Raon and Maren behind him and efficiently creating some distance.
He made eye contact with Epley through the yellow waves.
“How disappointing.”
Epley stood there licking her lips. What was visible in her eyes was not disappointment unlike what she said.
It was anger.
But she was extremely cold and collected.
Shhhhhhh-
The yellow wave withdrew and an odd grey aura took its place.
It was not only grey in color.
– Cale.
Cale's face had already stiffened while looking at the grey thing before he even heard the Super Rock’s stiff voice.
It was grey but there were more colors as well.
There was a small grey wall behind Epley’s back.
It moved like seaweed underwater and had multiple colors like the sea when the sun shines down on it.
It also sparkled.
It reminded him of looking up at the surface and the sun while underwater.
‘Or maybe space.’
He felt like he was looking at the vast space.
It also felt like he couldn’t properly understand what he was looking at right now.
Epley was calm despite having something like that behind her.
“It won't be good if I use my powers here.”
She was saying it was a pity that she had to use this power right now. But she seemed relaxed.
However, the black mage’s reaction was different.
He started breathing heavily the moment he saw the grey wall.
“Huff. Huff.”
It resembled a Dragon right before overload.
Cale could not easily make a move because of this.
To be more specific, this grey wall…
His whole body was warning him as soon as he saw it.
‘Don’t try to fight it.’
You will die.
It wasn't a feeling like that.
It just felt like this was something he should not face.
An omnipotent law, a rule of nature was telling him that he should not touch it.
Choi Han’s instincts…
His instincts as a living creature were strongly warning him.
“Human, that thing is weird.”
It was the same for Raon.
This grey wall…
Raon started feeling weird as soon as he saw this thing.
After rescuing Maren earlier, the area he himself existed in, the present, felt unfamiliar.
But this grey wall was completely different.
‘It feels so uncomfortable.’
His instincts were strongly warning him.
This was something that should not exist in the world.
However, the emotion filling Raon was different from what Choi Han and Eruhaben were feeling.
‘I need to get rid of it!
Huh?’
Raon flinched at the thought that filled his mind.
‘Get rid of it?
Am I capable of getting rid of that thing?
It clearly seems to be connected to the God of Chaos since one of the believers of the God of Chaos summoned it.
I can get rid… of something like that?
I need to get rid of it!’
His instincts kept urging Raon to get rid of it.
Raon attentively observed this thought.
He realized what was at the foundation of this feeling.
‘I don’t want to destroy this place right now!’
Raon realized his desires.
Furthermore, he also noticed that this grey wall was urging that desire.
“That is the Wall of Chaos!”
They heard Choi Jung Soo's voice.
He was on a roof talking to them.
"As one of the powers from the God of Chaos, the Wall of Chaos messes with all laws and brings forth chaos. I don’t know the details, but… This is a power used before ancient times. I know this is a power that should not be in the present world-”
But he could not continue to talk.
Raon was no longer able to listen anyway.
Ooooooo-
The grey wall started to fluctuate.
Paaaat!
A magic circle appeared underneath Epley's feet.
It was the same for the black mage.
They were both teleportation magic circles.
None of Cale's group could move despite seeing the yellow magic circle.
“Huuuff.”
Even Epley… She was also breathing heavily with fear visible on her face.
The grey wall…
Dozens of eyes appeared on it.
“…O, oh master-”
Epley knelt down on top of the magic circle.
“Why have you s, sent a m, message to this place-”
She looked so servile unlike how haughty she had been until now.
She looked completely submissive.
Eruhaben couldn't blame her.
Those eyes…
These dozens of white eyes without any pupils, the moment they all opened…
He got chills all over his body.
He felt like he saw something he should not have seen.
That was why Eruhaben could not attack those eyes.
‘I'm scared?’
He was feeling fear.
He felt like a human who was seeing space for the first time.
However, he had no choice but to move.
“Huuuff!”
It was not toward Epley.
Nor Raon or Choi Han.
“Human!”
“Cale-nim!”
He was moving toward Cale.
“Huff, huff, huff.”
Cale could not breathe properly.
His face was pale and his body was trembling like a leaf.
Choi Han was surprised at this and moved toward Cale before turning his head.
“!”
His eyes opened wide.
The dozens of eyes that appeared on the grey wall…
Epley was bowing toward it.
The black mage was moving toward it as if he was bewitched.
But Choi Han was not looking at either of them.
The white eyes on the grey wall…
Black pupils appeared on the whites of the eyes.
Actually, it was just a single pupil among all of those eyes.
That pupil was looking somewhere.
It was where Cale was standing.
“Huuff, ugh, oo, ah-”
Cale could not speak properly.
The black pupil looking toward him…
Cale had been unable to breathe since looking into it.
‘What is going on?’
An unexplainable fear swept over him.
This was, yes, this felt like-
‘Submission.’
Cale wanted to submit to this grey wall.
This was clearly connected to the God of Chaos.
Were these dozens of eyes all the God of Chaos?
‘No. Only one of them.’
The gaze looking at him…
This black pupil…
‘That is the God of Chaos.
But why is he looking at me?
Is it because I am getting in the way of everything?’
Cale could not organize the thoughts in his mind.
– Oo, ah-
Another existence was shaking in fear as well.
It was the imposing voice of the Dominating Aura.
That power was unable to control itself.
Cale heard an odd voice in his ear at that moment.
‘You have the power of chaos as well.’
‘What?’
‘Child who possesses the power born from the pit of death… Why do you go against my will?’
“Huff. Huff.”
Cale kept feeling suffocated.
– F, fuck!
The scared Dominating Aura started to swear.
Cale heard the voice and tried his best to control his thoughts.
‘I possess a power born from the pit of death?
That is the power of chaos?’
Cale thought about the Dominating Aura that did chicken out in front of the God of Hope and the God of Balance but did not get scared.
‘That power-’
Cale had gotten this power in a lake covered in a Dragon’s dead mana.
Yes.
It was just like the polluted divine item.
Just like the black mage's current body and Maren’s sliced off wings.
Cale had gotten the Dominating Aura from something just like that.
The ancient power that once belonged to the first Dragon Slayer…
Cale had thought that the Dominating Aura had started with Choi Jung Gun and then came to him.
However…
Although it wasn’t this modified dead mana like what the black mage or Maren’s wings had, but…
It was still the dead mana of a Dragon.
It would have been the highest quality dead mana of all pure dead manas.
Would an ancient power that spent essentially forever in that dead mana filled lake remain the same?
‘…Is this really Choi Jung Gun's power?
Has Choi Jung Gun ever confirmed it?
Who gave me the information about this Dragon Slayer’s ancient power?
What did the White Star say again?’
As Cale’s mind, which could not think properly because of this suppressing fear, did its best to go through the records of the past…
‘Raise your head.’
Cale had no choice but to raise his head.
Had his enemies felt like this when they submitted to the Dominating Aura?
Cale, for some odd reason, could not reject those words.
Shhhhh.
His whole body was shaking.
Cale’s body started to shake even more because he did his best not to raise his head.
Nonetheless, Cale's head moved in the end.
The dozens of eyes…
The black pupil visible in one set of eyes…
Another black pupil appeared in a different set of eyes the moment Cale raised his head.
Two pairs of eyes were looking at Cale.
Boom.
Cale felt like something was landing in his body when he noticed the eyes.
‘Child who possess chaos… Become mine-’
The two pairs of eyes were talking to him.
‘Quickly become mine-’
But the words could not continue.
Cale could see a large back get in between him and the grey wall.
The large back of the young boy with silver fur…
Lock, with his blue flames, shouted toward the grey wall.
“No!”
Cale snapped back to his senses after hearing Lock’s shaking voice.
To be more specific, the back covered in silver fur…
The blue flame surrounding that back…
That flame fluctuated to create a face.
‘…A Wolf?’
He saw the face of a young wolf.
It was not Lock.
‘Maybe-
Is it the Blue Wolf?’
The moment he thought about the other god that existed in this place…
A smile appeared on the Wolf’s face and made his fangs visible.
Cale then heard the voice of the God of Chaos.
“Do not get in my way. Oh forgotten god.”
Everybody heard this voice.
The Wolf within the blue fluctuation opened its mouth.
“Even if I am forgotten, I am still a god.”
Blue flames roared in Lock’s eyes.
He spoke toward the two pairs of eyes on the great wall as if responding to the Blue Wolf.
Of course, he was shaking as he always does.
“D, don't come any closer.”
Ha, haha-”
Cale let out a laugh.
All of the fear had disappeared the moment the blue flame covered the area in front of him.
The God of Chaos was no longer looking at him.
This was thanks to Cale's other shield, Lock’s reliable back.
Cale heard the voice of the Blue Wolf in his mind at that moment.
‘Child. I may not be able to fight against him, but I can still shoo him away.’
Craaaackle-
Lock’s blue flame shot up into the air again.
“Huh?!”
Lock flinched in confusion while the blue flame that shot up floated above Lock’s head before forming a figure.
It was that of a very young wolf.
The wolf landed on Lock's head and started to speak.
“I may be forgotten but I still exist as a god of this world.”
Ooooooooong-
Cale felt something vibrating inside his pocket.
The mirror the God of Death had given him was vibrating intensely. But he didn’t have the time to pull it out.
– Cale.
The Dominating Aura seemed to have calmed down a bit as he slowly started to talk.
– I think I can mimic that.
‘What?
That grey wall?’
– No. Those eyes. I think I can make those eyes as well. Of course, it will just be a worthless copy of it, but… The important thing is that I can do it, right?
‘…Ha!
Weren’t you cowering in fear just now?’
– I was. But I can’t stay that way forever, can I?
It was very fitting of the punk who wanted to go up against the God of Balance.
– I am the Dominating Aura! I cannot lose, even against a god!
Cale started to smile.
He smiled brightly while looking at his reliable allies and the Blue Wolf who were protecting him.
– H, human! Are you okay? Why are you smiling like that? Are you planning on scamming someone? Why don’t you hold back on that for now?!
Cale ignored Raon’s desperate pleas in his mind.
