Chapter 1088 — Book 2: Chapter 285: The Night does not Equate to Fear (6)

– Human! Don't ignore me!
Cale slowly turned his head away from Raon despite his urging.
Huff huff.
Maren flinched at Raon’s heavy breathing before cautiously extending her front paw to pat him.
“Hmm?”
Raon looked at her in confusion and Maren avoided his gaze before quietly mumbling.
“The Blue Wolf is protecting him, so your dad should be fine.”
Raon flinched.
“Oh, really?”
Maren looked confused before scratching her cheek.
“I thought he was your dad.”
“Even though t, the human is a human and I, I'm a Dragon?”
“So what? Is that a problem?”
“I…guess it is not!”
“Right?”
Eruhaben shook his head in disbelief at the two young Dragons’ conversation before looking at Cale Henituse, who was still crouched down slowly looking around.
‘This punk-
It feels like he’s about to cause some trouble.’
Anybody who knew anything about Cale Henituse would know to pay attention to him rather than the two gods despite this vicious situation between two gods.
Cale Henituse was a guy who would, after saying that he would pierce a hole in a cliff with a needle, either push the cliff over or completely obliterate it into dust.
‘What is he planning on doing-’
The God of Chaos and the Blue Wolf…
Adding Cale to the mix…
Eruhaben's mind was getting complicated as Cale stuck right behind Lock’s back.
The blue light…
The Dominating Aura did not cower while under this aura of this god, the Blue Wolf.
Basically, Cale wouldn't cower either.
“!”
Lock flinched.
He clenched his fists tightly.
‘The young master-nim is relying on me!
Who knew such a day would come?!
I really can become a protector now!
No, I'm basically one already!’
Lock’s heart filled with admiration.
A resolve firmer than ever before solidified inside of him.
Just a moment ago…
– We need to stop the God of Chaos.
Lock had subconsciously stood in front of Cale after hearing the Blue Wolf say that and seeing Cale in pain.
The God of Chaos.
Lock got scared the moment the two pairs of black pupils looked toward him, but he did not fear them.
‘The Blue Wolf-nim is with me.’
Those black eyes… The leeriness from those gazes felt extremely distant to Lock.
All of this was because the Blue Wolf was protecting him.
The blue flames in his eyes…
The grey wall behind them was not scary at all.
“…….”
“…….”
The two pairs of eyes above the grey wall and the young Wolf within the flame were looking at each other.
However, nobody dared to make a sound in the silence.
Ssssssss–
Only the fluctuation of the tense atmosphere ruled through the sky.
Gulp.
Cale gulped and slightly peeked his head over Lock’s large back to look at the grey wall.
Thankfully, the black eyes were not looking at Cale.
They were only looking at the young Wolf.
– Cale, let’s sneak a peek!
The Dominating Aura spoke in an extremely excited voice.
‘This guy was extremely scared earlier. Why is he so excited now?’
– You’re excited too.
He couldn't retort in any way.
The dozens of pairs of eyes that appeared on the grey wall…
The gaze from the black pupils that appeared over the whites…
That was much stronger than the Dominating Aura.
But he can, even if it is at an extremely low level, mimic it?
‘It’ll be very helpful in the future.’
It should be very helpful against the Five Colors Bloods and others.
The Dominating Aura. He would think about this guy's true identity and its potential for change later…
Cale asked the Dominating Aura a question.
‘Do you think you can use some of it now?’
– No. Let’s watch a little bit longer. I need to scope out what kind of aura is in those eyes and what this grey wall actually is so that I can use it in my style. ⱤἈΝỖʙΕꞩ
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Cale could feel his heart beating wildly.
– Ah, how thrilling.
It was a bit thrilling as the Dominating Aura mentioned.
– Let’s figure out the core of this so that we can use it in our own way! Then I think I'll be able to have a go against the God of Balance in the future! Ah, but it really does look like the God of Chaos has what it takes to go up against the God of Balance. Just looking at him makes you kneel! Kahahaha!
‘Be quiet and do it properly!’
– Ah, okay, okay.
Kehehe.
The Dominating Aura sinisterly laughed.
– We will use the Aura to scam everyone! We are the strongest! Kahahahaha! I can grow stronger too! Kahahaha!
‘This crazy bastard.’
Cale wanted to sigh but he slowly revealed more of his face to observe the grey wall.
‘Mm.’
Cale then gulped.
Ssssssssssssss-
He couldn't see anything.
No wind was blowing either.
However, the air around them was definitely changing.
Ooooooooong-
Eruhaben cast a shield.
It was out of instinct.
Maren and Raon cast shields as well in response.
– I don't feel it.
But Cale acted on his own and pushed his head out of the shield.
“You-”
“One moment please.”
He raised his hand at Eruhaben’s question.
Lock peeked at Cale and covered Cale again.
“Hold on.”
But Cale pushed Lock back as well and stepped out of the shield.
– You can feel it too, right?
The invisible fluctuation of the air…
Cale could slowly start to see it.
He subconsciously opened his mouth.
“Yeah… I can see it.”
He was not seeing it with his eyes.
Maybe it was best phrased as he could see it with his body?
It was different from feeling it.
The aura on Cale’s side, the aura behind the Blue Wolf…
And the aura on the grey wall's side…
The nature of air was changing.
It was at that moment.
“Human, you can see it too?”
Cale turned his head in shock.
Raon had come up to Cale and stuck himself on Cale’s back.
“I can see it too! The blue aura and grey aura are pushing against each other! They are trying to consume one another! Is that right?”
“Ha.”
‘What’s up with this punk?’
Cale was flabbergasted.
– Oh. Even we were not able to sense all of that.
Cale looked toward Eruhaben. Choi Han, Maren…
They were all shaking their heads no.
They were unable to see the current situation.
There was only one thing Cale could say to Raon.
“I can't see as much as you can. You are so great and mighty.”
Flutter flutter.
Raon’s wings fluttered with excitement.
“Take a good look.”
Cale’s stiff face made Raon turn serious as well as he nodded his head. He clenched his front paws and focused as he looked around.
Shaaaaaaaaaaa-
And the moment a breeze blew by…
“……!”
“!”
Cale and Raon’s eyes opened wide.
The dozens of eyes that were on the grey wall…
“Flow into the chaos.”
Black pupils appeared on all of the eyes at the same time.
– Eek!
“Ugh!”
Cale and the Dominating Aura felt like they were suppressed by fear to the point that they could not speak properly.
A large grey aura shot up with the grey wall at the center.
“Ahhh, oooo-”
Epley was shaking as she knelt in worship and rubbed her hands together.
“—! –!”
The black mage could not speak properly.
The grey aura pushed forward like a tsunami.
Epley was the first to be struck by the tsunami.
“Please, have mercy–!”
She was shouting desperately when the tsunami swallowed her.
She then disappeared.
“Oo, ooooah-”
Next was naturally the black mage.
The mage’s face above the eyes and his white hair was still not dyed black.
He looked toward the Blue Wolf.
Cale made eye contact with him.
“Oo, oooo-”
His eyes were speaking his mind.
He did not want to go.
He did not want to be swallowed by that tsunami.
He shook his head.
“…….”
Cale could not say anything while looking at him.
The black mage’s wings…
Maren’s old wings that were polluted by the black liquid seemed to want something different from the black mage’s wishes.
Flap, flap.
The wings welcomed the tsunami with joy.
They then threw themselves into the tsunami of grey swamp, despite the black mage's wishes.
The black mage was swallowed up by the tsunami as well.
– Just a little more!
Cale did not lower his gaze as he listened to the Dominating Aura's passionate voice.
He looked right at the dozens of black pupils beyond the grey tsunami.
Shaaaaaaaaaaa-
The wind was blowing.
It was a blue wind.
The reason Cale didn't need to lower his head was because of the young Wolf standing in front of the tsunami.
It was thanks to the blue wind coming from him.
Shaaaaaaaaaaa-
There was a gust of wind.
Hooooooooooowl—-
Grrrrrrr—!
He could hear animals growling down below.
However, it was a growl of reverence instead of instinct.
Shaaaaaa—-
The blue wind wrapped around the young Wolf’s body.
The wind became one with the flame and looked like it would burn up the entire tsunami.
The young Wolf's mouth opened.
“Take a good look.”
Who was he talking to?
Cale did not question it.
Shaaaaaaaaaaa-
The blue fiery breeze…
The wolf’s appearance changed within it.
The small body slowly started to enlarge.
The wolf slowly turned into a human.
This figure had fur different from Lock’s silver fur.
The fur was as blue as the sky.
The figure was now larger than Lock.
The Blue Wolf.
The god born in Aipotu, the god of the Beast people.
The grey water attacked him once he revealed himself.
Cale realized what the Blue Wolf wanted to show Lock.
“Roooooooooooooooar!”
The Blue Wolf let out a wild roar.
His fist punched forward and a blue fiery breeze followed his fist to create a path.
The Blue Wolf then extended his arms out.
The fiery breeze spread out following his hands.
It started to cut through the tsunami like an arrow.
Thanks to that, the people behind his body and his aura were safe from the tsunami.
It allowed Cale to see the tsunami move past him and the others behind the shield.
The grey water…
The moment he saw what was within it…
Flash!
Black eyes appeared in the water.
“!”
Cale realized it.
The dozens of eyes that appeared on the grey wall…
Those weren’t all of the God of Chaos’s eyes.
His gaze was within the entirety of this grey water.
‘Child. Come this way.’
The eyes whispered to Cale.
It was not coercive like earlier and did not make him shake in fear.
In fact, it sounded extremely sweet.
‘You can be anything you want in here.’
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Cale could feel his heart beating wildly.
He had no idea why he was reacting like this. No, he did have a hypothesis.
His power that the God of Chaos talked about was the reason he could hear the voice, the reason it sounded too sweet.
However-
‘This is driving me nuts.’
Cale could not hear anything else.
He felt like everything was consumed by the black eyes…
It was at that moment.
Something black charged toward the eyes.
“Don’t mess with our human!”
The small chubby body that appeared in front of Cale…
“I'll destroy everything, even a god!”
It was Raon.
Crack!
The black mana Raon shot out pierced through the black eyes.
“Hoooo.”
The black eyes reappeared and gasped in amazement while the Blue Wolf flinched before looking back at Raon.
Raon had no idea while he was shouting.
“I will destroy everything if anybody messes with our human or my family! I am scary when I am angry!”
Cale sighed while looking at Raon, who was confidently flapping his wings.
Either way, Raon had helped him back to his senses.
‘Ah, I have to be careful.’
Cale acted calm but he had the chills.
The God of Chaos.
It was still dangerous for Cale to come face to face with this god.
He could not control himself.
“How dare you.”
The Blue Wolf sounded angry as he clenched his fists again.
He gently tapped his foot to jump up before slamming his fist down.
Baaaaang—!
His fist landed on top of the grey water.
Babababaaaaang—!
The fiery breeze attacked the tsunami and started to bite away at it.
It resembled a piece of cloth being ripped off by an animal.
The fiery breeze spread on top of the tsunami like a rampant wildfire and ripped apart anything it saw.
Shh—
The tsunami did not get any bigger.
The grey wall no longer let out the water.
“I guess I should be satisfied with this.”
The eyes in the grey water said that before the black pupils disappeared.
As only one set of black pupils remained…
“…….”
Cale was at a loss for words.
‘What is going on?’
The grey tsunami that the fiery breeze ripped apart and kicked away…
A spot in the air started to crumble following the water.
It felt like he was looking at a distorted time and space as the water marks of the tsunami turned into designs in the air. But it resembled a scar.
Flash.
The black pupils closed and reopened before repeating this process slowly.
They looked ready to fall asleep.
Cale looked back and forth at the eyes and the scar.
“Huuuff.”
He could then see the Blue Wolf breathing heavily.
He was still standing tall and straight but the back was slightly shaking.
The black pupils opened one last time before slowly closing.
“Chaos will arrive in the end. That too is the logical way of things, a law.”
The black pupils then closed.
Once the grey wall no longer had any gazes…
Ssssssss–
The grey wall disappeared in the air like dust.
Nothing remained there.
Epley’s magic circles…
Epley herself and the black mage…
But the scar that remained in the air let everybody know that the God of Chaos had been here.
"Blue Wolf-nim!”
Lock ran forward in shock.
“Huff. Huff.”
The Blue Wolf's body started to shrink.
He returned to the form of a young Wolf.
“Huff, huff.”
However, he couldn't remain as a Wolf either.
He couldn't maintain his form and turned into a flame.
The flame slowly became smaller.
"Blue Wolf-nim!”
Lock extended his hands out.
A flame on top of a candle…
The blue flame was only that size now.
Lock gathered the flame in his hands.
– Did you take a good look?
He could not hear the voice anymore.
“Yes, I saw it!”
Lock answered before flinching at another voice.
“Yes sir. I saw it.”
It was Cale.
Lock was surprised.
‘I wasn’t the only one to hear the Blue Wolf-nim’s voice? The young master-nim heard it too?’
Lock looked toward Cale. His eyes opened while watching Cale's actions.
“Human, that’s dangerous!”
“No. It’s not dangerous.”
The eerie scar left in the air…
Cale gently brushed the area that looked like distorted time and space.
– Now I get it.
He heard the Dominating Aura's voice.
– This is primal fear. There is also primal charm.
– Everything is in it because it is chaos.
– It can rule over humans the best because of its primal nature.
– The essence of the beginning… Chaos is something that has intermixed all of it.
The Dominating Aura spoke in an excited voice.
– I can be like that young Dragon and do it once I learn it! You just wait. I'll create a new power. Kahahaha!
Cale started to smile.
This was a small gain.
Of course, it was actually a big gain but Cale and the Dominating Aura had no way of knowing that right now.
-…….
The blue flame quietly looked toward Cale as it burned.
The God of Hope.
The God of Balance.
The God of Chaos.
He was thinking about what kind of results this human, who had the interest of three of the five ancient gods, would cause in the chaos that was to come.
However, Cale did not sense that gaze and pulled out the mirror from the God of Death.
Ooooooong-
There were dozens of messages on the divine item that was still violently vibrating.
“Haaaaa.”
Cale sighed as the urgent messages from the God of Death came through.
< Hey, hey! The World of the Gods is a shitshow right now! >
< The God of Chaos has split the World of the Gods into two! Crazy bastard! >
< The God of Balance's hair is a mess right now and her eyes have rolled over! That part is a bit nice to see! >
<...By the way, is the Blue Wolf by your side perchance? >
< I can suddenly feel his divinity. >
< Huh? Nevermind! The divinity has decreased again! >
< Hey, can you please advent him in Aipotu? Please? >
< You just need to create a new divine item. >
< Build him a nice and fancy new temple too. >
< Hey, where did the God of Chaos go? >
Cale scanned through the useless and annoying messages before turning the screen off.
He then lowered his head.
The numerous Beast people and humans who had been running away had returned and were looking up at them.
– Cale. Thankfully, his body did not break down.
He ignored the Super Rock.
– It looks like you don’t need to faint.
He ignored that as well.
Drip.
He nonchalantly wiped away the blood dripping down the corner of his lips.
– Well, you did overdo it, so I'm sure you will bleed a bit.
But he did not cough up blood.
Drip.
Driiiiiiiiiiiip.
Drip. Drip.
Blood just continued to drip out of the corner of his lips.
The blood that he did not manage to wipe turned into drops as they fell down.
Drip.
The White Snake looked at the dark red drop of blood that fell on her body before looking up at the individuals in the sky.
It was not just her.
They were looking up at Cale and the others while Cale looked down at them.
‘We'll take care of things here and head for the Third Saint right away.’
Cale was thinking about heading to the Third Saint, the God of Earth Dragon, in order to save the World Tree.
Of course, he did his best to ignore the gazes of the crowd below him.
‘But why is this blood not stopping?’
Drip. Drip.
Blood kept flowing.
Cale slowly turned his gaze.
The gazes that he could not ignore…
Raon and Choi Han were staring at him.
But he responded pompously.
“I didn't faint or cough up blood!”
– For now.
He ignored the Super Rock.
– But it will soon happen if you don’t get some rest.
He ignored the Super Rock again.
