Chapter 1113 — Book 2: Chapter 310: Eccentric Power (5)
10 min read ·
"Cale-nim, I’ve never seen something like this before.”
Choi Han came up to the anxiously laughing Cale and commented with a stiff look on his face.
He looked quite flustered.
‘I guess he would have never played games before.’
Choi Han would have lived on earth before normal families had computers in their homes, so he probably never played games before.
‘No. Even I have never played virtual reality games before.
So are we in the same boat?’
Cale continued with the random thoughts on his mind.
But it could not be helped.
‘Fuck!
He was back in the game.
This was also a place where Count Ruiphe or the system could not come.
Because this was the lair of the leader of the Purple Bloods, the Dragon Lord.
‘Red hand.’
That thing might come again.
“Human, why is your face so stiff?”
‘Damn it.’
It could not be helped.
“Human, the door disappeared. How do we go back?”
“It is a problem that the door has disappeared. But I also see weird things in the room.”
“Meeeeeow.”
The door Cale and the others came through was gone.
They could no longer see the door to the basement.
“Huuuuuu.”
Cale sighed and looked at Choi Han and the children averaging ten-years-old as he opened his mouth.
“Alright, everybody follow me.”
The two kittens, one Dragon, and the innocent looking young man looked at him.
Cale opened his mouth and enunciated.
“Log. Out.”
[Will you leave New World?]
A new window appeared in front of Cale.
As for the children averaging ten-years-old and Choi Han who copied Cale…
“Did anything pop up?”
Nothing popped up.
“Nothing popped up, nya!”
“Human, the words are slowly turning weird! It seems like the common language of the Roan Kingdom but they are slowly turning into a language I’ve never seen before!”
“Mm. I don't think this is a good situation.
Cale-nim.”
Cale sighed.
‘Should I call One or Ruiphe?’
The System, One. Or the Ghost of Darkness, Count Ruiphe.
Did he need to contact them?
“Friends list?”
A window popped up as soon as he said that.
Chhhhhh-
There was an ominous sound, and…
[Currently unstable, unable to load proper information.]
One had said something to Cale.
‘The red hand has already ordered a destruction. I will first send you out of here, and when you are able to login normally after the update… We will be able to talk.’
Although Cale was registered as a boss monster, his status was not completely normal.
‘Basically, I can still get caught by the red hand too.
Fuck.’
Cale felt frustrated.
It could not be helped.
‘I haven’t really gamed before either!’
Cale had read a ton of fantasy novels. He had been obsessed with the genre for a while.
However, although he had messed around with a mobile puzzle game a few times, Kim Rok Soo had never played a proper game before.
‘What do I do?’
Cale thought about his options.
‘Just turn everything into chaos?
Destroy everything as planned?’
But then, the children averaging ten-years-old looking up at him-
‘No-’
Cale flinched.
"Who the hell are you?”
Beyond the children averaging ten-years-old…
“Meeeeeow!”
Hong was surprised.
“I, I was sur, no, Dragons do not get surprised!”
Raon was stuttering.
“Who the hell are nya?”
As On became anxious and subconsciously spoke weirdly…
“You must be the sir my liege has mentioned.”
A cute little teddy bear greeted them from behind the shoulders of the children averaging ten-years-old.
‘Did it say liege?’
It must be talking about the Dragon Lord.
“Neo?”
The teddy bear looked at Cale as soon as he said that.
The brown teddy bear, which was slightly smaller than Raon, had extremely cute jewel-like eyes.
The teddy bear answered.
“How dare a human like you speak the true name of our great liege, the ruler of time?!”
The teddy bear pointed at Cale with the fountain pen in its hand and shouted in anger.
‘What the hell?
Cale was shocked.
The teddy bear didn’t care and it grumbled a little more before calming down.
“Oh esteemed Dragon. If you leave this wanton human bastard to me, I will properly teach him about respect.”
“Hmm?”
Raon was getting anxious.
Cale then realized it.
‘Now that I think about it…’
This teddy bear…
‘You must be the sir my liege has mentioned.’
Although five of them had arrived, the teddy bear was only talking about one of them.
‘It's Raon.’
It was only treating Raon well.
The teddy bear respectfully bowed.
Cale then realized that the teddy bear was dressed as a butler. It meant the bear was wearing a sleek and cool uniform.
“The Seventh Evil, the Ruler of All Time… I am the Dark Bear that serves our believed liege.”
An explanation window opened on top of the bear.
[Boss. Heinous Dark Bear]
‘A Heinous Black Bear?’
“Oh esteemed Dragon. Are all these things existences that serve you?”
“Hmm?”
Raon was getting flustered by the bear’s question and looked at Cale, who quickly nodded his head. Raon’s face immediately turned solemn.
– Human, do I finally get to act too? Just leave it to me! I am much greater than Choi Han!
Cale almost blurted something out after hearing Raon’s voice.
‘No! Just nod your head! Don’t talk!’
Raon was the type who would turn an incident where they needed to pierce a needle through a wall to just destroying the entire wall. But the solemn Raon was faster than Cale.
“Yes. These guys are all my slaves!”
‘Aigoo.’
Cale clenched his eyes shut.
"As expected of a great and mighty Dragon!”
The bear doll must have been excited as its shoulders were bouncing up and down.
“I almost suspected you of being illegal infiltrators.”
Jiiiiiiing-
Cale's eyes opened wide.
“I was thinking hard about how I would kill them all! Haha!”
The bear’s eyes turned red as he laughed loudly.
It resembled a scene out of a horror movie.
‘Mm.’
Fluffy cloud-like path and the cotton candy-like doors placed intermittently on the path…
The fairytale-like dungeon instantly became covered in a red spotlight.
‘It really resembles a horror movie.’
Cale was a bit scared.
The teddy bear quickly returned its gaze toward Cale.
“I was a bit flustered because you came a bit earlier than my liege explained, but…”
Tang tang…
The teddy bear pounded on its chest.
“Who am I? I am a subject my liege can be proud of! I've already finished all of the registration!”
It then pointed toward the inside of the path.
“I will escort you there, sir; The registration process should be quick.”
The bear’s voice became more gentle. It then asked nicely.
“You know what the registration is, right?”
As Raon flinched…
Cale opened his mouth.
“How rude!”
‘Hmm?’
Everybody became anxious.
Especially Cale’s allies.
– Human, what is it?
The teddy bear's eyes turned red again.
“How dare a mere human do that-”
But Cale spoke first.
“A mere teddy bear like you thinks it can question a Dragon-nim? Are you suspiciously questioning our great and mighty Raon-nim?!”
“……!”
The teddy bear flinched but Cale did not stop.
“Registration? That’s obviously talking about user registration. We will need to register before the red hand shows up to log in stably!”
“Mm!”
The teddy bear flinched.
“…You even know about the red hand?”
“Yes. The Dragon Lord personally came to our Raon-nim to tell him. So hurry up and register us. Lead the way!”
Cale’s confident attitude made the teddy bear timid for a moment.
But it quickly made an excuse.
"But, I had no choice! I didn’t know unregistered individuals would suddenly show up from Aipotu before the large-scale update was completed-”
“Ha.”
Cale scoffed in disbelief.
“You are still scoping us out?”
He walked up to the bear and looked down at it.
The bear was acting timid but Cale didn’t miss the wariness still in its black eyes.
It was because the bear was clutching the quill pen even stronger.
Cale pushed even harder after seeing them.
He recalled what One had told him.
‘The plan is to input it properly in secret during the upcoming update.’
‘A new field will appear.’
Cale’s question and the current situation…
Putting the teddy bear and One’s words together easily gave him the answer.
“You mean putting Aipotu in as a new field during the update?”
“!”
The teddy bear’s expression changed.
The fist clenching the quill pen relaxed.
Cale saw this and continued to speak.
“Of course, I'm sure you are not putting the entire Aipotu inside New World.”
Aipotu was connected to the virtual reality game with Dragon Lord Neo's lair at the center.
“Of course, our great and mighty Raon-nim was not able to hear all about this part from Neo-nim.”
A new field.
“Instead of putting all of the useful people in Aipotu inside this Seventh Evil's Dungeon, move them into the new field. Your task must be to properly register any unregistered people coming in at that time?”
The bear gulped.
“T, that’s right. I am certain my liege said this part was extremely secretive to the point that he didn't even inform his subordinates…”
“Pfft.”
Cale sneered.
"Are you comparing our Raon-nim to mere subordinates?”
Raon played along.
“That’s right! I am extremely great and mighty! Don’t you dare compare me to those punks who have thrown away their pride as Dragons!”
He meant what he said.
“T, then Raon-nim is-?”
As the teddy bear stuttered… Cale slowly answered with a stiff look on his face.
“He is the esteemed Dragon with the qualifications to become the Dragon Lord.”
This was the truth.
Eruhaben had said so before.
“Isn’t that right, Raon-nim?”
Raon looked embarrassed as he answered.
“Mm. Well, I guess that’s not wrong!
Hehe.”
Raon looked so innocent as he laughed that it was impossible to think he was acting.
‘T, then-”
The teddy bear was seriously flustered.
Cale walked a bit closer, lowered his body, and whispered.
“The Lord has already chosen who would follow him after he becomes a god.”
"I, I didn't hear anything about that-”
“Ha!”
Cale sneered at the anxious bear.
He then nonchalantly responded.
“Why does the Lord have to explain every little thing to a shitty little thing like you?”
“!”
“Isn’t it our job to decipher the will hidden within the actions of such esteemed figures? Must a liege explain and share everything with his subordinates?”
Cale shook his head and looked down at the bear.
“You are not qualified.
Pfft.”
Cale didn't hide his sneer.
Choi Han, On, Hong, and Raon all dropped their jaws in shock while looking at Cale but the bear did not notice. It’s mind was not in a place to do anything like that.
“I, I-”
Cale placed a hand on the stuttering bear’s shoulder.
The bear didn't even get to shout, ‘how dare a mere human’ as its shoulders curled up at Cale's touch.
Pat. Pat.
Cale patted his shoulder as he warmly answered.
“Don’t worry. “We will properly explain this part to the Lord-nim.”
"D, do you mean that?”
“Yes. So hurry up and register us.”
“Y, yes!”
The bear ardently nodded its head and turned around.
"Raon-nim, please follow me!”
“Okay, let’s go, bear!”
* * *
Boom!
The ground shook and a large ditch appeared.
“Ugh!”
The one who barely managed to raise his body inside that dip in the ground could not hold back a groan.
“That old Dragon……!”
The short red-haired man looked extremely angry as he raised his head.
The white gold-haired man looking down at him… Eruhaben smiled like a painting with a corner of his lips naturally rising up.
“You know how to stuff your might but you don’t know how to fight.”
He flicked his finger as he spoke.
“Come again. You little baby of a Dragon fucker.”
“You, you-!”
Baaaaaang!
The explosions continued as the white gold light and red lights continued to crash against each other.
The two lights flashing above the vast plain looked more vicious than beautiful.
While that was going on, Rasheel was stomping on the ground with his feet.
Boom! Boom!
"Ah, come on! You other Dragon fuckers aren’t coming out?!”
Boom!
“Hey! Why are you quietly on the wall? Can you still call yourself a Dragon like that? You little crybaby! Hey, let’s fight–!”
Thump thump!
He was throwing a fit because he wanted to fight.
He shouted toward the enemies who were looking at him with disbelief.
“Ah, seriously, come on! Let’s fight! You stupid cowaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaards—!”
He meant what he was saying.
